Thursday Hikes at Ocean Trails

Meet up & Social Time: 8:15 a.m.

Walk Time: 8:30 a.m.

These trails combine breathtaking, photographic views of the Pacific Ocean with the opportunity for a vigorous 1-2 hr. hike.

There are various trails on the preserve, so depending on the group, the walk can be moderate or strenuous-- or both. Hikers can go at their own pace. Expect a good work out as we follow trail down to the water and back to the main trail. There are various trails, so we don't have to do the same ones each time.

After we follow our chosen route, we lunch and socialize (optional). We can sit on the breezy clubhouse patio fronting the ocean. There are coffee, water, drinks, and sandwiches, including hot dogs and burgers for sale. (Coffee is $3.00 & water is $1.50.) Or, more often we drive up the road to Starbucks or Yellow Vase, or down the road to a small Mexican restaurant near Western Ave. Good time!
