π HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE HIDEOUT, THE MOST ACTIVE THRILLER, SCI-FI AND HORROR FILM CLUB IN LONDON MADE BY FANS FOR FANS.
In a nutshell, we are just a bunch of Die Hard Film Buffs, Filmmakers, Creators, Comic Book Nerds, Geeks, and Trekkies who are aficionados of Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, David Lynch, John Carpenter, James Cameron, Gene Roddenberry, H.P Lovecraft, you name it, who like to go out for drinks and watch movies. We also rate and review the films after we watch them and the results are posted on our Letterboxd Page.
We are avid supporters of Independent Cinema, The Film Festival Guild, Medicinema, Prince Charles Cinema and the British Film Institute. Thanks to this we sometimes gain special access and discounts to special events that we can then share with you. Plus we meet up regularly for a social to catch up again at the BFI which is a lot of fun.
We try to stay well informed when it comes to Film News, New Releases and Re-Releases and members are able to vote for the films they want to watch through our WhatsApp Group or Telegram Group which are available on request. We also have an alternative non invasive WhatsApp Channel and Telegram Channel for updates only.
Whatever the time of year we do our best to always be around, come and join us for a good time.

Laugh and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.Hey guys π I am ashamed to say that I haven't caught up with this film but I think it's time now to make amends before he comes after me. So this is a South Korean film directed by Park Chan-Wook, about the consequences of unjust kidnapping and imprisonment, and what will happen to you if you happen to be his captor. I hear this movie is dark, violent, and thought-provoking and I'm game. Speaking of games this is a loose adaptation of the Japanese manga which I shamefully didn't hear until now.
Yes I am full of shame however Woo-jin Lee says and I quote that "Your gravest mistake wasn't failing to find the answer. You can't find the right answer if you ask the wrong questions". OK then so my answer is to watch this film right away. Checkout the details below:

π IT IS THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

Boredom Makes Men To Villains.What's going on guys π I've been wanting to watch this film for awhile because I missed it so many times. I feel kind of embarrassed that I waited this long, especially since I loved Nosferatu by Robert Eggers. Anyway, a few years back, he also did this film which is a black and white psychological horror that tells the story of two lighthouse keepers, who are stranded on a remote island in the 1890s. Their isolation, is further fuelled by the harsh conditions and their growing mental instability, leads to a descent into madness and a tumultuous relationship. Enough said I'm digging this premise.
I am so blessed that I like my own company, and I don't get seasick, but I wouldn't mind the pleasure of your company before I descend to madness too lol Here is the schedule breakdown for tonight:

That we're just a mouse that a cat has by the tail... every single move we make is part of Death's sadistic design. Only new life can defeat Death.Whatβs going on guys π So this year will mark the 25th anniversary of the first Final Destination. And Iβm guessing that there's no better time to release the sixth instalment. The movie will be directed by former child actor and visual effects specialist Zach Lipovsky, and Adam Stein who comes from and editing and screenwriting background. In the last few years they have co-directed together fairly well reviewed movies like Kim Possible and Freaks. The script's lead writer is Guy Busick who wrote the Scream V, Scream VI and last year's Abigail. It is also worth mentioning that this is Tony Toddβs last appearance as William Bludworth before he sadly passed away last year during production of this movie.
So this is another year full of sequels, but this is a franchise that I will appreciate being back on the big screen. I'll catch up with closer to the date with more information on the meetup. Speak to you soon.

π§WHAT DIFFERENTIATES AMERICAN FROM BRITISH HORROR FILMS?
I'd say that British horror films tend to have a more gritty and grim atmosphere. And often have a more nihilistic ending. But that's just my opinion.Hello Again Mates π Yep, a big British horror film will finally be back in mainstream cinemas with the awesome trio who know how to make great films and tell great stories. Director Danny Boyle, writer Alex Garland and Cillian Murphy are set in refuelling this franchise with a new nightmare of Viral Post-Apocalyptic Horror. Even for me, this has been a long-awaited sequel which will take place more than two decades later in our home in Britain across the Northeast of England including Holy Island. So some more geography and patriotism, and there's nothing wrong with that. Before you prepare for this movie, you should checkout or re-watch 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. You know, just to get in the mood.
It looks like this will still be a year of sequels but I believe this will be a good one. I'll come back to you later with further details of the meet up as we get closer to the date. See you later..
