What we’re about
👋 HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE HIDEOUT!
London’s hyper-active thriller, sci-fi, and horror film club — built by fans, for fans.
We’re a buzzing community of die-hard film lovers, indie filmmakers, comic geeks, and sci-fi dreamers who adore everything from Hitchcock to Kubrick, Carpenter to Cameron.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema — from The Film Festival Guild to the Prince Charles Cinema, the BFI, Medicinema, and more. That means we’ll often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.
Come hang out with a great crowd — we’d love to have you with us.

🌕🎬 THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (🦇DRESS UP NIGHTMARISHLY)
Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar, 14 Leicester Pl, London WC2H 7BZ, London, GB💀🎄 Life’s no fun without a good scare — even at Christmas. And honestly… there’s nothing better than a London Christmas–Halloween mashup in the best city on the planet.
Hey guys 👋
Let’s be real — none of us were ready for Halloween month to end. So we’re smashing it straight into Christmas, because the best kind of chaos happens when those two worlds collide. And since this is Tim Burton’s legendary holiday crossover, let’s go full-on spooky: dress up nightmarishly, be bold, be creepy, let's have fun with it.
One of the joys of this film is how otherworldly everything looks, no familiar landscapes, no comfort zones, just pure Burton magic. Even Santa would be unrecognisable without his red suit! To be fair, he might be shocked if he looked in the mirror… or pleasantly surprised. So whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, come get scary with us and enjoy a cosy-creepy night out.
We’ll kick things off with a relaxed pre-film meet-up at Victory House Wine Bar. If you’re coming straight from work, no stress — feel free to meet us directly at Prince Charles Cinema. The film will be in Screen One, and we’ve chosen Row E (pick your own seat if you prefer!). Afterwards, we’ll regroup for a quick casual Letterboxd Review and then head over to The Three Lanterns for drinks and a festive-spooky hangout. The reservation there will be under The Hideout Club.
Let’s have some great fun — I’m really looking forward to this and can’t wait to catch you guys there.

🐻🎬 FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 2
Vue Vue West End , 3 Cranbourn Street - Leicester Square - London WC2H 7AL, London, GB🍕🔪 It’s a minimum-wage nightmare! Looks like they’re hiring more night staff again! As the new night guard, your job is simple — just avoid getting stuffed into a metal suit.
Hey guys 👋 I remember diving into this creepy world of animatronics back in 2023 and really enjoying it. In spite of the bad rap it got, I found it quite fun and nostalgic — and I’m always up for a bit of electronic horror. The sequel will once again be directed by Emma Tammi, and if you didn’t know, the original movie was based on the game created by Scott Cawthon — definitely worth checking out if you’re into games.
Hopefully this one cranks things up a notch! I’m curious to see how they pull it off since, even with the returning cast, it’s actually a prequel following the timeline of the games. Either way, it should be a fun ride.
We’ll be meeting for pre-drinks as usual (final details updated closer to the time), and maybe talk about electronic horror.
Looking forward to seeing you guys there! 💬

🎅🎬 SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT (2025)
Leicester Square , Leicester Square , Email us at contact@xxclusive.co.uk, London , GB🪓 Silent nights are deceivingly quiet… until they're not.
When someone’s lurking in the background, craving the payback you know you owe, well, let’s just say there’s a price for those who’ve been more naughty than nice…
Hey guys! 👋 I’m genuinely excited about this Christmas - not just for the twinkling lights, but also for the redemption, shall we say. So if you thought Halloween was over and done, think again, because this week, we’re diving into the brand-new reimagining of the 1984 slasher classic.
This one’s written and directed by Mike P. Nelson and first premiered at Fantastic Fest earlier this year, and it made enough noise to land a general release. It is also produced by the same mad guys behind the Terrifier Series… so, I'm guessing this one is going to be very mad as well.
This may not be for the faint-hearted, but if you’re up for it, let’s catch up for pre-drinks before heading to the movie. Final details will be updated closer to the time.
Either way, it should be a fun one — see you guys at the meetup! 💬

💀🎬 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE (FILM & SOCIAL)
Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB☣️ Time cannot kill a virus, but a virus cannot destroy the beast within us. The barbarian inside us never truly dies.
Hey guys 👋 We’re now entering the second chapter of the post-apocalyptic trilogy that began with 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. This new story continues in the same universe but takes things in a darker, almost in a spiritual direction — exploring the rise of a new kind of religion. This entry will be directed by Nia DaCosta, with Danny Boyle returning as producer.
Whatever you thought of 28 Years Later , it was at the very least original — with its subdued mother-and-son storyline and bold new direction. This sequel looks set to build on that, expanding Spike’s journey and the sinister cult of the Jimmies, led by the chilling Sir Jimmy Crystal. Once again, the virus isn’t the real enemy.
We’ll be gathering for a chilling Saturday of film and social time — probably chatting about the series, apocalyptic religions, or something along those lines. Final details will be updated closer to the time.
It should be a fun one — see you guys at the meetup! 💬
