About us
👋 HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE HIDEOUT!
London’s hyper-active thriller, sci-fi, and horror film club — built by fans, for fans.
We’re a buzzing community of die-hard film lovers, indie filmmakers, comic geeks, and sci-fi dreamers who adore everything from Hitchcock to Kubrick, Carpenter to Cameron.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema — from The Film Festival Guild to the Prince Charles Cinema, the BFI, Medicinema, and more. That means we’ll often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.
Come hang out with a great crowd — we’d love to have you with us.

🤖🎬 GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE (ALTERNATIVE)
Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar, 14 Leicester Pl, London WC2H 7BZ, London, GBThis Meetup was previously set for Psycho Killer.
👋 Hello everyone! Just a quick update: This Meetup was originally planned for Psycho Killer, but unfortunately it was pulled out of the UK release radar, so we are going ahead with Gore Verbinski’s new film Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die*. We hope this movie fits your vibe.*
The film is a sci-fi action comedy by Matthew Robinson (The Invention of Lying). It follows a time traveler who crashes into a classic LA diner, assembling an unlikely team to stop an AI tyrant. So, a bit of a departure from our original plan, nevertheless we hope it’s fun change of direction.
We’ll start things off with a meet and drinks at the Victory House Bar Leicester Square before proceeding to Cineworld (Screen 7). We will be sitting in row A6-A7 if you would like to sit with us. After the film we will have a brief Letterboxd Page.
Let’s Brace ourselves for this thrilling new ride.
See you guys at the meet up.

🔪🎬 SCREAM 7
Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB😱 In a town where the masks never stay gone... there’s a new Ghostface in town.
Hey guys 👋 Let’s dive back into the world of Ghostface. We’re keeping things fun and simple this time — come join me for a film-and-social night to check out Scream 7. Despite its troubled production history, I think it’ll still be an intriguing watch, especially with Kevin Williamson, the original writer, stepping in to direct.
Bring your favourite mask, mascot, or horror T and we’ll chat all things Scream, then review and share our thoughts on the film after. Think of it as a fun, laid-back hangout for horror fans and some good company. Final details of the film and location will be updated closer to the time below.
In the meantime, don’t forget to kill it out there....
See you guys at then! 💬

🧟♂️🎬 THE BRIDE (FILM & SOCIAL)
Leicester Square, Leicester Square , Email us at contact@xxclusive.co.uk, London, GB🔩 Resurrection never goes according to plan — especially when the Bride wakes up with ideas of her own. Because when you bring her back from the dead… the Bride decides for herself what happens next⚡️
👋 Hello everyone! Looks like Monster horror is officially making a comeback, and this time Maggie Gyllenhaal dives straight into the genre with her bold horror-romance reimagining of Bride of Frankenstein, titled The Bride. The film stars Jessie Buckley as the Bride and Christian Bale as yet another incarnation of Frankenstein’s Monster, the film feels like a fresh rabbit hole into Mary Shelley’s magnificent creation. Honestly, any good story from that universe is worth retelling — and worth seeing on the big screen.
Set in 1930s Chicago, the film follows their outlaw romance against a backdrop of societal unrest. A lonely Frankenstein seeks the help of Dr. Euphronius to create a companion. They reinvigorate a murdered young woman… and a Bride is born. Just a tiny body piece of advice: if you can avoid watching the full trailer, do it — as Universal loves giving too much away, and this one deserves its surprises.
As always, we’ll meet up for drinks, laughs, and a fun film social (with final details confirmed closer to the date). So come prepared with your favourite monster stories, the ones from this life… or whatever lurks from beyond. And of course, we’ll share our highlights on our Letterboxd Page afterward.
Something in the air says this Bride is hungry for more than just a little blood and flesh. So now it’s time to prepare ourselves — because it looks this Bride wasn’t made to stand beside the Monster… she was made to steal the whole damn show.
Can’t wait — looking forward to seeing you guys there.

👩🚀🎬 PROJECT HAIL MARY (IMAX FILM & SOCIAL)
BFI IMAX, London Waterloo, London, GB🚀 In a world full of uncertainties, sometimes a leap of faith is the only move left — and it can change everything. It plays with the ideas that mirror our lives: almost like a mix of sci-fi wonder, human emotion, and high-concept questions that end up shaping our own life story.
👋 What’s up, everybody! So here’s the deal with this curious Project Hail Mary: it’s a really cool concept that Ryan Gosling’s been working on. It’s got a bit of a sci-fi vibe, a character-driven story (I can only hope), and that blend of thoughtful and entertaining that he does so well. Think of it as Gosling mixing his love for offbeat roles with a high-concept twist.
The film is produced and directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with a screenplay by Drew Goddard, adapted from Andy Weir's 2021 novel. Filmed exclusively with IMAX cameras, it follows a man who wakes up on an interstellar spacecraft with no memory of how he got there — and soon realises he’s on a mission to save Earth. Definitely something to chat about over drinks and bring to life in a nutshell.
We’ll have our usual comfy social setup (with final details confirmed closer to the time). After the film, we’ll regroup for a relaxed and out-of-this-world Social Review Session to chat about our favourite moments — and we’ll share the highlights on our Letterboxd Paged as always.
Something tells me we can’t go wrong with Ryan Gosling (my favourite Mouseketeer) in this kind of role. And let’s blow this baby out of proportion on an IMAX Screen.
Looking forward to seeing you then!
