About us
👋 Welcome to The Hideout: London’s most hyperactive social film club, built by horror fans for horror fans, exploring every corner of horror and the darker edge of sci-fi.
This is a home for fearless film lovers, indie creators, and dreamers, who dare to explore the depths of dystopia, drawn to the uncanny worlds of Hitchcock, Kubrick, Carpenter, Craven, Cronenberg, Argento, Lovecraft, and beyond.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema, whether it’s at the Prince Charles Cinema, exciting film festivals, or the BFI,. That means we often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.
Come hang out with a great crowd we’d love to have you with us.

🔥🎬 EVIL DEAD BURN
Leicester Square, Leicester Square , Email us at contact@xxclusive.co.uk, London, GB💀 It is written in the Book of the Dead… You will die! Like the others before you — one by one, we will take you.
👋 Hey guys! I’m very excited about this brand new standalone sequel to one of my all time favourite franchises. Looking back, there hasn’t really been a bad Evil Dead sequel. They all kick ass, and this one looks like it’s going to be pretty sick too.
The premise is an interesting one, where a woman seeks solace with her in-laws at their secluded family home after the loss of her husband. One by one, they are transformed into Deadites, turning a family gathering into a reunion from hell.
The film will be directed by Sébastien Vaniček and produced by Sam Raimi, serving as the third standalone entry, and it looks like it’s going to be packed with plenty of practical effects, just as we horror fans deserve.
The plan: is to meet in town for late Friday night drinks and dive into some Book of the Dead theories before heading to the cinema. After the movie, we’ll wrap things up with our usual commentary and review as we drift off into the spooky night. I’ll share the final details closer to the date, so feel free to check back here nearer the time.
Let’s hope this film is as insane as it looks

🏕️🎬 CAMP MIASMA INSPIRED MYSTERY MOVIE MARATHON
Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar, 14 Leicester Pl, London WC2H 7BZ, London, GB🔥 Five sick cinematic secrets inspired a new era of blood, lust, and delirium; if you are ready to dive blindly into the lake, that sounds good to me!
👋 Hey everyone! With the upcoming release of Jane Schoenbrun's Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma seems very appropriate to me.
This movie marathon is especially curated by acclaimed director Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow, We're All Going to the World's Fair) as a celebratory warm-up event for their upcoming horror-satire film, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma. The mystery marathon will feature 5 films that in some way shaped the new film and we will be given no clues.
The plan: We will start the evening at Victory House Bar at 9:00pm for drinks and a catchup. Then at 10:30 pm will head over to Prince Charles Cinema where are you in row A6. Feel free to bring your neck pillow and blankies to make the night more comfortable. And, we’ll be scoring each film as the night goes by.
Then at 7:20 am for those that survived we'll have that strong strong cup of coffee, final review and a group pic before heading home. You will find the full schedule breakdown, ticket information and addresses down below, so you can find your way.
Now, and again, we are all strong enough to survive a marathon so called curated to rot our brain before returning to our own sleepaway camp.
Se you guys there

🍦🎬 ICE CREAM MAN
Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB🤡 Something cold… and not quite right is coming our way, and there’s something unsettling beneath the surface.
👋 What's going on guys! Honestly, there’s nothing more pernicious than something that starts off sweet, then quickly turns into something far more twisted. And, when that familiar comfort suddenly takes a darker turn.
This kind of chilling take can only come from Eli Roth, who really knows how to bring that old-school, classic horror into the modern day. This time, you may want to keep your children indoors, as this one follows a mysterious ice cream vendor serving treats that transform local kids into homicidal, bloodthirsty maniacs.
The plan is to start this summer evening with a mini social before the film, where we can chat about our favourite classics and why we even get into these films in the first place. After the screening, we’ll rate and review the film over on Letterboxd.
I’ll share the exact date, time, and location closer to the day, so keep an eye on this page.
You should know by now that sweet delights rarely come without a cost… just take a look at those bloody scales. Until then…
We so look forward to seeing you.

🌰🎬 THE END OF OAK STREET (IMAX FILM & SOCIAL)
Leicester Square, Cranbourn Street, London, GB🏘️ The moon sighs lopsided in the indigo sky... you just know everything is strange, right now. There is a reason why London is better.
👋 Hey guys! This seems to be a pretty good year for J.J. Abrams, not only with this big ass production, but also with his upcoming return later this year as writer and director for The Great Beyond.
This film, though, will be directed by his creative pal David Robert Mitchell, who you should absolutely know from his critically acclaimed It Follows. The story in this film will focus on the Platt family, who live in 1980s suburbia. Their lives are upended when a mysterious cosmic event rips their entire street and neighbourhood out of reality and transports them to an unknown, hostile location.
And of course, here’s the whole thing: The plan for this Saturday afternoon will be to meet somewhere between the BFI or Leicester Square. I’ll give you those final details as we get closer to the time. Expect a Film & Social with predictions, a fun commentary, and a Letterboxd review at the end.
In the mean time please keep yourselves grounded on earth, and until then….
I look forward to seeing you then!
