👋 Welcome to The Hideout: London’s most hyperactive social film club, built by horror fans for horror fans, exploring every corner of horror and the darker edge of sci-fi.
This is a home for fearless film lovers, indie creators, and dreamers, who dare to explore the depths of dystopia, drawn to the uncanny worlds of Hitchcock, Kubrick, Carpenter, Craven, Cronenberg, Argento, Lovecraft, and beyond.
We meet regularly for screenings, share laughs over drinks, and rave (or rant) together on our Letterboxd Page. You’ll also find us hanging out at our BFI Riverfront socials — always a great time. We stay on top of film news, and members get to vote on what we watch next via our WhatsApp or Telegram groups (unlocked after your first meetup).
We’re all about supporting independent cinema, whether it’s at the Prince Charles Cinema, exciting film festivals, or the BFI,. That means we often snag special perks and early access as part of our crew. From road trips to spooky festivals, pub quizzes to Riverfront hangouts, there’s always something fun in the mix.

👋 Hey guys! Let's checkout this J.J. Abrams project directed by his creative pal David Robert Mitchell, who also directed critically acclaimed horror It Follows.
The story will focus on the Platt family, who live in 1980s suburbia. Their lives are upended when a mysterious cosmic event rips their entire street and neighbourhood out of reality and transports them to an unknown, hostile location.
The Meetup: We'll be meeting for pre-drinks at the Victory House Bar at 5:30 pm. Then we’ll head to VUE Cinema Leicester Square for the 6:30 pm showing where you'll find me in seat D6. After the film, at around 8:35 pm, we'll wrap things up with our commentary and Letterboxd scores.

👋 Hey guys! This is one of those cult classics we love to showcase whenever possible because it's at the bloody heart of American horror history. If you haven't seen it yet, come along and experience what true terror looks like in broad daylight.
Directed by Tobe Hooper, this groundbreaking 1974 low budget nightmare follows a group of friends on a road trip through the sweltering Texas countryside, where they stumble upon a family of murderous cannibals and find themselves hunted by one of horror's most unforgettable icons, Leatherface.
The film not only redefined horror but introduced one of cinema's most iconic villains. It was also banned in several countries, including this one, adding even more to its infamous reputation.
The Meetup: We'll be meeting directly at the Prince Charles Cinema Bar (downstairs) at 5:30 pm. The screening begins at 6:00 pm, and you'll find me in seat E5. 👋 Hey guys! This new Insidious sequel, written and directed by Jacob Chase (Come Play), continues the story after 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door — once marketed as the “final chapter”… but let’s be honest, we all knew that wouldn’t stick
Moving on from the Lambert family, this new story follows a young mother who discovers she can enter The Further, with a truly terrifying ability to bring back demons permanently. Now, even if these films don’t always hit the mark, that’s kind their charm — but maybe this one will be a hit.
We’ll be meeting for our traditional Friday-night frights with drinks, followed by a proper horror film and, of course, a post-film review. And after all that, we’ll have to face the real horror… the late-night train home.

👋 Hey guys, we’ve got an upcoming screening I’m pretty excited about. It’s a satirical romantic horror drama from Jane Schoenbrun. She usually makes really unique films, and this one sounds like it’ll be something special.
The plot follows a filmmaker rebooting an ’80s slasher and meeting the original final girl. They end up forming a bond, and the lines between reality and the film start to blur. Should be an interesting watch.
We’ll meet for casual drinks before the screening, and we’ll have time to discuss the film afterward.
