🦇WHAT ABOUT THE UNAUTHORISED USE OF BRAM STOKER'S CLASSIC?
You see back in the day the original movie faced a lot legal issues and courts ruled that all copies should be destroyed. However a few copies survived and Count Orlok lived to become a cult classic.

Hey Guys 👋 Although, I was one of the first to watch this gem back in January, I am now eager to watch it again. You know, just incase I missed something. To give you some context, this is a retelling of the Original Cult Classic. And if anyone is going to reimagine an original classic, then I guess that would have to be Robert Eggers. He is seriously one of the best directors in recent years when it comes to this genre and this niche style of filmmaking. And you can definitely see this from his past catalogue of films which include Lighthouse, The Witch and The Northman. All very different films, uniquely atmospheric that include well executed stories with well develop characters. And this movie is no different with its spooky Count Orlok that will send shivers up and down your spine.

I can tell you so far, this is one of my favourite films of year and I suspect I’m not alone since co-host Faheem has seen this 4 times and is ready for more. What does that tell you? Anyway we are so glad to catch this one more time in 35 mm. Check out the schedule below:

  1. 7:00 PM: Drinks at Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar next to the Cinema. You will find me with a meetup sign..
  2. 8:20 PM: We walk a few steps to Prince Charles Cinema's in Leicester Square. I have selected seat A7 in Screen 2.
  3. 10:30 PM: We briefly reconvene to Review & Score the Film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
