👋 Happy 2026 everyone, and let's keep that snake skin crawling! So this new film with Jack Black is basically a fun revival of that whole giant snake adventure genre that started in the 90s. It will be directed by Tom Gormican, and it's a meta-reboot that isn't just remaking the original Anaconda—it's a movie about the hilarity and chaos of making that remake. The scoop is that of course, it'll have Jack Black's signature tongue-in-cheek humor with that behind-the-scenes, wink-at-the-audience feel.

In other words, Jack Black, Paul Rudd and the cast are playing characters who are filming this giant snake remake, and all sorts of ridiculous stuff happens. According to the trailer—feel free to skip it if you want—it’s got that fun, campy adventure vibe with a big budget.
