👋 Hello everyone! When someone tells us a film is that scary, we tend to be cautiously skeptical of the marketing. However, this film premiered at several festivals to rave reviews, and audiences said it was truly frightening. Still, we’ll take a close look at these key details.
This films starts to earn credibility as a folk horror film set in Ireland, and that alone really sets the tone. On top of that, it’s directed by Damien McCarthy, who’s already proven himself with chilling films like Caveat and Oddity, which definitely gives it some gravitas.
It stars Adam Scott as a cynical American author who travels to a remote countryside inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, only to become drawn into the mysterious disappearance of a woman, while being forced to confront the darkest corners of his own past.
