About us
Women in Their 30s Hiking Club (Denver)
If you’re a single woman in your 30s who loves hiking and has ever thought any of the following, this group might be exactly what you’re looking for:
- “It’s hard to make friends as an adult.”
- “Most of my friendships feel surface-level.”
- “I’d love to find genuine, meaningful female friendships.”
- “I spend most of my free time alone or with my dog.”
- “I hate small talk.”
- “I want to spend time with women who are kind, supportive, and working on becoming the best version of themselves.”
- “I wish I had more outdoorsy girlfriends.”
- “I don’t always want to hike alone.”
- “I’d love to explore more of Colorado.”
- “I want an excuse to get out of Denver and spend a day in nature.”
The goal of this group isn’t just to hike—it’s to build real friendships through shared experiences.
We’ll hike on Saturday or Sunday mornings about 2–4 times per month through September (and hopefully beyond if the group enjoys it!).
Group Guidelines
- Women in their 30s who are currently single and genuinely interested in making new friends.
- Each hike is limited to 6-10 people depending on if there are required permits, so everyone has a chance to get to know one another.
- There is a $6-12 fee per event, which simply helps cover Meetup’s organizer costs. Any additional fees would be to cover permits if necessary.
- Please come by yourself. The purpose of this group is to meet new people, and bringing a friend often makes that more difficult for everyone.
- No couples, please.
- Please plan to stay for the entire hike unless there’s an emergency.
- Friendly, well-socialized dogs are welcome. If your dog isn’t comfortable around other dogs or people, please leave them at home.
- We’ll wait 5 minutes after the scheduled start time before beginning the hike.
- Hikes will generally be moderate to difficult, with elevation gain. We’ll take breaks as needed, but expect a moderate pace.
- If you can’t make it, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance so someone on the waitlist can attend.
- Repeated no-shows may be removed from the group. Likewise, members who cancel three consecutive events may be removed to keep spots available for people who are ready to participate.
- Most importantly: be kind, welcoming, and inclusive.
- Carpooling is encouraged. If you’re not the one driving, please pitch in for gas to your driver. If you plan to bring your dog, please drive your own car.
