Sunset Hike - Ringtail Trailhead up to Overlook - Moderate Difficulty

Hey Folks, let's meet at the Ringtail Trailhead in Scottsdale after work. This is an after-work hike and we will monitor temperature.

The Ringtail Trailhead is just down the road from Lost Dog. It's never closed. It is accessed north on 128th Street from Via Linda. Lost Dog is north on 124th Street from Via Linda.

We will be hiking a couple miles up using the Ringtail Trailhead and turning right on the Sunrise Trail to an overlook gaining about 850'. A little over 4 miles round trip. Sunset views on the way back.

You will need to bring your own experience and judgment. If you want to enjoy the benefits of traveling in a group, then we suggest that you stay with the group on the trip.

About your organizer: My name is Dan. I moved to the Phoenix area in early 2017. I have organized over 200 hikes for various groups – including in Arizona, the Sierras, and Northern Nevada.
