Rees Peak and beyond***Off Trail-Very Hard***

Details
Juan came up with this humdinger of a hike for us this Saturday. Carpool meetup at the McDonald's off the I17 and Carefree Hwy at 530am. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early for introductions so we can depart as close to 530am as possible.
The hike will start at Aubineau-Bear Jaw TH at approximately 8am. Distance: 11+ miles, Accumulated Elevation Gain: 4,000ft+
From the TH we will hike the Bear Jaw Trail #26 to the Waterline Trail #146 until we find a suitable path (off trail) up to Rees Peak. After a snack break at the summit of Rees Peak we will follow the ridge line to the summit of Aubineau Peak at 11,838ft. We will come back down the same way we went up.
Please be sure to bring enough food and water to sustain you for a full day of strenuous hiking. Bring with you all that you will require including a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, a jacket or fleece and rain protection as there is a 20% chance of precipitation Saturday in Flagstaff. Bring a fully charged phone and anything else that makes you feel secure. We will cancel the trip if the weather turns.
The organizers will do everything within our control to make sure we all enter and depart the hike together safely. We will have at least one Garmin Inreach device in case of an emergency. By signing up for this hike you accept full responsibility for your own decisions and safety. The organizers are volunteers and not paid guides and accept no liability in the case of injury. We will hike as a team in the spirit of helpfulness and togetherness. We hope to bag these two peaks. If at any time you don't feel like proceeding on the path please make members of the group aware of your decision so we know not to wait for you. Communication is key when the front and back of the group get distance between them.
