Join us for Social Security, a comedy in which a Manhattan's couple is upended. This will be a live, in-person show at Bloor West Village Players, a high-quality community theatre in Toronto's west end.

Plot: Social Security focuses on trendy Manhattan art gallery owners Barbara and David Kahn, whose life is upended when her Mineola housewife sister Trudy deposits their eccentric mother Sophie on the couple’s doorstep while she and her husband Martin head to Buffalo to rescue their sexually precocious college student daughter from a menage a trois with two men. Barbara and David introduce Sophie to suave nonagenarian artist Maurice Koenig, who offers to paint her portrait and soon begins to brighten her life in ways she never expected in her twilight years.

Sign up with your guests on this event page and then follow the steps below.

Step #1: Call the box office at (416) 767-7702 and leave a voice mail with your name (spell it out), phone number, date and time (January 13 @ 8 p.m.) of your reservation and number of tickets. Indicate you are with Thumbs Up Theatre Toronto.

Step #2: When you arrive at the theatre, see Belinda at the meetup spot for the discount promo code.

Step #3: Use the code to get your discount ticket(s) for your reservation at the box office. Payment is by cash only at the box office on the performance date. The box office opens at 7:15 p.m.

Members are responsible for purchasing their own tickets directly from the theatre.

Seating Arrangements: Seating is unreserved so you can grab any seat. We will arrive early to get the best seats.

Meet Belinda at 7:15 p.m. downstairs inside the theatre in the lineup to enter the seating area. She is very short and will be wearing a bright pink fascinator hat. Please have your $3 meetup fee ready. Belinda will give you the promo code.

After-Show Meetup Spot: See Belinda in the lobby after the show. She will be wearing her bright pink fascinator hat. If members are interested, the group will go out for a snack after the show.
