THE PLAY: Set in 1930s Budapest, She Loves Me follows Amalia and Georg, two parfumerie clerks who aren’t quite the best of friends. Constantly bumping heads while on the job, the sparring coworkers can’t seem to find common ground. But little do they know the anonymous pen pals they’ve both been falling for are…each other! Will love continue to blossom once their identities are finally revealed? It’s an intimate and touching show with an endearing innocence and a touch of old-world elegance. Based on Miklós László’s play Parfumerie, it has inspired many adaptations, including The Shop Around The Corner with Jimmy Stewart and You’ve Got Mail starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.
