THE PLAY: Meet Jane Austen’s intrepid heroine Emma Woodhouse, the self-proclaimed “matchmaker of Highbury.” Armed with confidence (but questionable skill), Emma’s romantic schemes hilariously backfire as tangled relationships and surprising suitors emerge. With wit, charm, and plenty of misunderstandings, this lively adaptation of the classic novel brings to life a world of love, laughter, and a touch of scandal. Presented by the Scarborough Theatre Guild.
Recommended for ages 10 and up. Contains period-specific attitudes.
