Every week, we meet up to do guided meditation in English. Before the meditation event, there will be a short talk to introduce and explain who we are and what we do. If you are new to Buddhism or meditation, it is an ideal place to start.

Join us for our Squash Sessions happening every Monday / Wednesday / Thursday

Practical AI from Gemini Embedding 2 for Simplified RAG Search with Rich Context and Less Preprocessing - Imagine the possibilities if you could find a document using an image, or find audio from a report, or find a video with a sentence.
\- Simplifies RAG Systems \(one multimodal retrieval pipeline instead of multiple fragmented systems\)
\- Less preprocessing \(e\.g\. no transcription needed\) less infrastructure complexity
\- Richer context \(text \+ visuals \+ audio\)
\- A major step from “document chatbots” to truly context\-aware AI systems
Gemini Embedding 2 changes what Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) can fundamentally do.
Instead of treating text, images, audio, video, and documents as separate systems, AI can now retrieve and reason across all of them together in one shared understanding layer.
This means users can search videos with natural language, retrieve diagrams from spoken conversations, match screenshots to documentation, or ground AI agents with real-world multimodal context — capabilities that were previously complex or unreliable without multiple specialized pipelines.
Talk 2:
Designing Memory Systems for AI Agents
AI agents need memory to maintain context across sessions, learn from experience, and handle long-running tasks. The challenge? Deciding what to remember, where to store it, and how to retrieve it when it matters. In this workshop, you'll learn a practical framework for architecting memory systems that actually work in production. We'll cover:
\- Types of memory in agentic systems
\- Storage patterns: Where to persist memories and how to structure them for retrieval
\- Retrieval strategies: Combining vector search with metadata\, recency\, and other signals
\- Memory lifecycle: When to create\, update\, or prune memories to keep your system performant
You'll apply this framework by building memory into an AI agent and seeing how different design choices impact behavior.
You will be provided with all the resources required to successfully execute the hands-on portions of the workshop, including Jupyter Notebook templates with pseudocode. During the workshop, you will replace the pseudocode in the templates with your code.

Shut up and write 2026- WEDNESDAYS--Bukit Timah
**Coworking for writers in your area**
Join us for some focused writing time on Wednesdays ....All writers and all experience levels are welcome, and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in your area.
When you show up, say hello to everyone, grab a drink, and get your writing tools ready. Once you’re all settled, take some time to chat with your fellow writers. Once everyone’s arrived, I will lead quick introductions and then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session.
Afterward, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other. We often talk about our successes and challenges as writers. If you don’t have time to stick around, no worries!
**A note about the format**
We don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to work on their craft, so no one will read or critique your writing.

Systema Regular Group Class (Adults & Teens, All Levels)
**For ages 13 and above.**
Systema is a Russian Martial Art founded by the late Colonel Mikhail Ryabko and Vladimir Vasiliev. Systema was designed to develop individuals in a combative style which upholds the intrinsic value of all human life. This is why it is non-destructive – even of one’s enemies. Through the use of simple exercises, breathing techniques and massage work, Systema helps you to build a strong mind and body.
Here is what you can expect:
**Warm ups**
Class begins with warming up each of the systems of the body – from the breathing, muscular and nervous system, each component needs to be properly engaged.
**Thematic studies**
Fetching from a huge pool of drills and sometimes even crafting specialized ones, our instructors format a logical progression of the concept being shared. Depending on the ability of the class, the drills are modified to be at the optimal level for learning, with suitable modifications given to students based on their individual performance.
**Application of concepts**
After the thematic studies, some time is given for the students to apply the training – the intensity is decided upon by the students under the supervision of the instructor. At times, the instructor will request for the students to push themselves, while at other times they are there to taper in the sparring to a productive level.
**Cool downs**
The cooldowns are usually done in a way both the help the class recover from the higher intensity application section as well as to revisit the concepts again in a calmer manner. This helps to ensure everyone is reminded of the key points. Sometimes we do a little massage.
**Training circles**
At the end of every training session, we circle up to share a few words about the training. This tradition was handed to us from our founders and is an integral part of our training.

Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking!
• What we'll do
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros.
10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
