Greetings to everyone - As this Wednesday sees Christmas Eve, there will be no weekly run this week (or next as it's New Years Eve!) - So, see you next year.... It's been another great year for the Group with new faces and old, all entering into the spirit of what the Group is all about. May I take this opportunity to wish everyone, old and new, a Very Happy Christmas or whatever Festival you Celebrate at this time of the year. Centro Cultural Capoeira Água de Beber (CECAB) – Capoeira Água de Beber Cultural Centre – is a non-profit organization, founded officially in January 2002. Its pivot activity is Capoeira (classes, rodas, workshops, public presentations, cultural events, performances), however it aggregates other cultural manifestations as: samba de roda, maculelê, frevo, ciranda, dança do coco, dança afro, puxada de rede, craftworks workshops of making and playing music instruments, video projections, movies, lectures about relevant cultural topics and matters related to enforcement of citizenship. All the activities realized through CECAB are designated to execution of social responsibility projects, further on the sportive, cultural and artistic activities through the realization of the shows, presentations and events related to Capoeira and Brazilian culture.

Mix of paces in this group from 6:30 min per km to close to 5 min per km. For those that want to do a longer distance, they will probably start earlier and link up with us for 9AM If you are doing one of the earlier runs (Such as Harry's run), please sign up for this too. Ideally we will run the trails if they are not too wet. Meet near the bus stop at the visitors centre car park. If you have any question, please get in touch. Join us on Christmas morning for an easy paced 5km run. We will start, as always, with a warm up routine and then will run at approx 7.20 minutes per km pace. Enjoy the run, and be home in time for your dinner. We usually have a coffee and chat afterwards, but we will probably miss out on the coffee today. PLEASE NOTE: That, if you RSVP a particular event, then please ensure that you attend, as there may be other members relying on you for company on the run. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
