Would you enjoy a relaxed evening chatting about distant galaxies, epic quests, and everything in between? If so, we’d love to meet you. Our next gathering takes place on **Saturday 28th March from 6pm** at **The Mad Hatter**, just by Blackfriars Bridge. Drop in, say hello, and join us for a drink. We’re a long‑running group that’s been meeting since **1998**—long before meetup sites were even a thing. Over the years we’ve done it all: celebrity meet‑and‑greets, convention trips, RPG campaigns, cinema outings, LARPs, and plenty more. These pub nights are all about easygoing conversation and connecting with fellow Sci‑Fi and Fantasy fans. To help break the ice, we’ll be running a light‑hearted team quiz at **8.30pm**. Following our critically acclaimed productions of OTHELLO, MACBETH and TWELFTH NIGHT the Acting gymnasium's Saturday workshop returns to Theatre Deli on Saturday 28th March with a new imagining of Shakepeare's CORIOLANUS. Plenty of superb roles available!! WE WILL PERFORM THE SHOW FROM 6TH-11TH JULY AT NETWORK THEATRE WATERLOO. Set in a post-apocalyptic landscape, Coriolanus, a fierce and proud Roman general, earns fame after defeating Rome’s enemies, especially at Corioli. Despite his military success, he despises the common people and refuses to flatter them for political gain. Urged to seek public office, his arrogance alienates citizens, leading to his banishment. In anger, he allies with his former enemy Aufidius and marches against Rome. As destruction looms, his mother, Volumnia, pleads with him to spare the city. Moved by her words, he relents, choosing honor over revenge. His decision saves Rome but seals his fate, as he is killed for betraying his allies in return. Have you ever wondered what mysteries lie out there outside the earth? If so, this may be the right event for you. Welcome to the London Society’s first stargazing event where all of this is possible. thanks to ‘The Baker Street Irregular Astronomers’, we’ll be able to gaze at the mysteries through their telescopes pin pointed at their discoveries made. With this particular event and during the evening, we should be able to gaze at Jupiter near the stars ‘Castor’ & ‘Pollux’, Venus or the evening star as it’s known, Saturn, Leo the lion, Orion the hunter. the leo triplet consisting of the M65 & M66 galaxies, the M81 Bode’s galaxy, the M82 Cigar galaxy, the M51 Whirlpool galaxy and the M104 Sombrero galaxy. Here is the itinerary for the evening: 7:15pm - 7:30pm: Await the members 7:30pm - 8pm: Depart to the destination 8pm onwards: Gaze at the mysteries through the telescopes and the naked eye. While Lynch, Hackman and Redford all got cinematic tributes to them in the wake of their deaths, Chuck Norris has had less of an outpouring of love, probably a legacy of his mostly terrible film output (several Missing in Action and Delta Force abominations plus a cameo-length scene in a Bruce Lee flick being the highlights) but also the fact he became better known as a meme than an actor. But I think he deserves something, and why not this? Silent Rage sees Norris play a small-town sheriff who has to deal with a psychotic murderer who becomes indestructible in a medical experiment. That's the last person you should perform this kind of experiment on! This all leads to lots of guns, lots of high kicks and, if the trailer is to be believed, some car-bound action too. Oh yeah, the experiment also makes him mute (hence the movie title).
