Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga is held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6pm on Zoom. Log in from home or wherever you are located. Invite a friend or family member to join you from anywhere. Please see the Westbank Community Library website calendar for the Zoom link https://www.westbanklibrary.com/calendar/ (on the laughter yoga calendar page you’ll click on the word “here” which will take you directly to Zoom. No password nor registration needed.) Laughter Yoga is a body mind exercise. We use our body to help relax and quiet our minds, lower our stress, and bring more oxygen to our brains. This high energy, multi-generational class has an atmosphere for children and the child-at-heart. Lots of movement, imagination, and silliness for our inner child, along with a combination of exercises that spark unconditional laughter, deep breathing, and grounding movement, followed by deep relaxation through guided meditation. Expect the unexpected. Bring a bottle of water to drink. Leave your yoga mats at home! FREE and open to the public. Family Laughter Yoga is for all ages and abilities. Family Laughter Yoga and Westbank Libraries are infant, children, and youth friendly spaces. Adults—singles, couples—and families with or without children are very welcome. Presence in the Heat 🔥 A Sauna Meditation Experience
Presence in the Heat 🔥 A Sauna Meditation Experience
Life builds up in the body. Stress. Noise. Pressure. Emotion. Constant movement. This is your invitation to sweat some of it out. Join us for a guided meditation experience inside the infrared sauna at HOTWORX Brushy Creek — a space to soften, breathe, release, and reconnect through the combination of heat, stillness, and presence. The infrared heat helps the body open and let go. The meditation helps the mind settle. Together, they create a deeply grounding experience that many people describe as calming, cleansing, and unexpectedly emotional. **The experience includes:** * 30 minutes of guided meditation inside the infrared sauna * Breath awareness and guided presence * Space to sweat, soften, and reset * A few quiet moments to integrate afterward No meditation experience needed. Just come as you are. If you’ve never been to HOTWORX before, this is a simple and welcoming way to experience the studio—no workout required. * To keep the space intentional and comfortable, this session is limited to 5 participants. If it fills, you’re welcome to join the waitlist * Please arrive a few minutes early to complete the facility waiver **—** Guided by Sam Neseim — meditation teacher, coach, and owner of HOTWORX Brushy Creek. Sameh creates spaces where people can slow down enough to hear themselves again — integrating presence, nervous system regulation, inner awareness, and real-life leadership. Come as you are. Let the heat hold you. Let the sweat release heaviness. Return home to lightness.
Kalahari Waterpark After Dark (21+)
Kalahari Waterpark After Dark (21+)
I had an original plan to go to this Waterpark during non peak hours to avoid the crowds and lines but this event changes everything! This periodic event (last was in March, and next is in August) is open late night, and is open during clubbing hours. With that said, there will be a DJ and a glow party in the Grotto. And with that said..... this event makes me very excited. Tickets are now on sale you with tax you can expect to pay $43.99. But I think prices increase at some point. You DO need to visit this site to get pricing and service costs (e.g. day rates and shoe rental) if you don't already have a membership. -- https://www.cruxclimbingcenter.com/ If you don't have a membership and are considering continuing to climb this event, you may want to go down that road. Crux now has three locations and it is possible the location of this event will alternate in the future. However, this central location will be the default because of the proximity to where I live :) Nature Nerds Austin has this to say... This is for any level of bouldering experience. I've not been climbing for a couple of years so I'm playing catch up to my usual V4-ish. From the entry/check-in desk I always do a clockwise circuit around the outer wall and then work on the central walls. You will need to provide your own climbing shoes or rent a pair from the gym. I have several chalk bags, in particular a large Yellow/White one which is what I usually use for gym/off-rope climbing. Continuing 2026 With Friends @ Red Horn off Parmer and Whitestone
**Please note new start time of 6:30!** We will start promptly at 6:30 pm. *Rain is possible all week. If we get significant rain, we may have to shorten the walk due to the road construction that has detoured the path off of the concrete onto a sloped dirt path that could be treacherous.* This is a dog friendly event. We stay on the deck at Red Horn so the fur babies can hangout with us! The route is an out and back. We will have a turnaround spot at 1.5 miles but anyone needing to turn back sooner is welcome to! No special shoes required. Bringing water is highly recommended. Afterward, all will be encouraged to hang out and have your preferred recovery beverage and/or food! I hope to see you there! Mike
