Our next English Conversation Café will be on **Monday 11th May 2026 at** **7:30pm**! Topic for the evening: To be confirmed You will have an opportunity to practice your English and meet new people, through conversation topics and games. This event is mainly for learners of English, so we kindly ask native speakers to give priority to others. The venue is **downstairs** in Costa Coffee, 3 Southwark St, London SE1 1RQ which is a 1 minute walk from London Bridge Station. This is a **free** event, you will not be expected to pay for anything. You will also be able to have a free drink and cake. This isn’t a typical book club. It’s a space to explore real questions about life, meaning, and the Bible—together. Bring your questions, your doubts, or just your curiosity. You don’t need to believe anything to belong here. Make up your own mind. Most people have thoughts about the Bible… But rarely get the chance to explore it honestly. Here, you can ask: • What do I actually believe? • Does any of this still matter today? • Is there more to this than I thought? What to expect: We meet for two hours at a time. Our reading list includes books from the Bible — as well as some of the books that didn’t make it into most Bibles. The Bible has shaped culture, law, art and ethics for centuries, yet many people are personally unfamiliar with it. Each evening is structured but informal. The group chooses the book or books to read, and discussion takes place in small groups. No lectures. No pressure. No need to prepare anything in advance. The aim is thoughtful, respectful conversation. Plenty of people feel they know quite a bit about the Bible, yet struggle to read it. Based on the book by Rev Erik Wikstrom, this workshop will explore what he describes as 'lay leadership as a spiritual practice.' We will look at his transformative vision of volunteering with a congregation as a growth opportunity rather than an obligation, examining how committee work and volunteer service can nurture personal development through self-awareness, compassion, and collaboration. Participants will discover practical strategies for reframing lay leadership—from board service to event planning. Acoustic music, poetry and storytelling. Soul Fuel Sunday is a monthly gathering of poets, storytellers and songwriters held at Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel. These intimate, unique evenings are not to be missed, offering audiences the rare opportunity to hear spoken word artists and songwriters perform completely unplugged, supported only by the natural acoustics of our gorgeous neo-Gothic Chapel walls. Each month, experience performances from musical artists interspersed with spoken word, storytelling, poetry and meditations, with singer-songwriter Russell Swallow. This is a donation based event. Hi Everyone, Our next EuroClub French- English conversation evening will be on Thursday 14 May from 7pm at Blooms cafe, Royal National Hotel , Woburn Place.
