The Mezze Table
Arabic ⢠German ⢠English
A mix of flavors, cultures, and ideas
**The Mezze Table â A Cultural Dinner with Meaningful Conversations**
**Some of the best conversations in life happen around a table.**
**The Mezze Table is a small cultural dinner where Arabic, German, and English speakers come together to share Lebanese food and real conversations.**
**The evening is gently guided with a few thoughtful conversation prompts that help people connect more naturally.**
**Only 20 seats are available.**
**At the center of the table we share traditional Lebanese mezze such as Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, and Tabbouleh.**
**The word mezze itself comes from the Mediterranean and refers to a collection of small dishes served together. But the idea behind the Mezze Table goes a bit further.**
**Just like a mezze table brings together different flavors, this evening brings together a mix of cultures, languages, experiences, and ideas.**
**Meals in the Middle East are rarely eaten alone. Food is shared, stories are exchanged, and conversations often go deeper than the usual âWhat do you do for work?â**
**To make the evening welcoming for everyone, we start with a few simple introductions and then explore a couple of conversation prompts during the dinner.**
**Past prompts have included questions like:**
**⢠What place in the world has changed how you see life?**
**⢠What is a tradition from your culture that people should know about?**
**⢠What are some gestures in your culture people often misunderstand?**
**You do not need perfect language skills.**
**What to expect**
**⢠Shared Lebanese mezze**
**⢠A small international group (max. 20 guests)**
**⢠Conversations in Arabic, German, and English**
**⢠A relaxed evening with thoughtful dialogue and cultural exchange**
**Hosted by Lydia**
**I work in leadership and resilience training and spend much of my professional life helping people have better conversations.**
**Over time I noticed something simple: the most interesting conversations rarely happen in meeting rooms.**
**They happen around tables.**
**The Mezze Table is a small experiment in bringing people together through food, culture, and curiosity.**
**Contribution**
**âŹ15 includes the mezze and 1 drink.**
Extended Photography Workshop: Storytelling & Photo Series
##### Storytelling & Photo Series
*Every series tells a story. Every frame has a purpose.*

**Start:** 15:00
**Duration:** approx. 4 hours
**Location:** Vienna (exact meeting point shared after booking)
***
### Workshop focus
This workshop is about **creating meaningful photo series**, that convey a story or an idea, mood or feeling.
Weâll explore how to plan sequences, use different frame sizes, and craft transition frames that guide the viewer through a story.
Youâll learn how to create images with intent, how to shift mood across a series, and how to make your work feel cinematic and cohesive.
We will talk on the topic of storytelling through multiple shots and work on a habit of inputting meaning into your single photos and series.
***
### During the workshop youâll
* analyse existing photo series to understand visual flow and rhythm
* plan and shoot sequences with transitions, shifts of mood, and varied frame sizes
* practice making each photo intentional, with meaning behind it
* experiment with cinematic techniques: pacing, conceptual contrast and use of colour as a way of storytelling
* review series together, discussing narrative choices and emotional impact
***
### After the workshop
Youâll understand how to make every frame count and how series can be more powerful than single photos. You will likely become more strict when selecting your photos. You will look at photo walks as separate projects
***

Perfection by Vincenzo Latronico
Millennial expat couple Anna and Tom are living the dream in Berlin, in a bright, plant-filled apartment in NeukĂślln. They are young digital creatives, freelancers without too many constraints. They have a passion for food, progressive politics, sexual experimentation and Berlin's twenty-four-hour party scene. Their ideal existence is also that of an entire generation, lived out on Instagram, but outside the images they create for themselves, dissatisfaction and ennui burgeon. Their work as graphic designers becomes repetitive. Friends move back home, have children, grow up. An attempt at political activism during the refugee crisis proves fruitless. And in that picture-perfect life Anna and Tom feel increasingly trapped, yearning for an authenticity and a sense of purpose that seem perennially just out of their grasp. With the stylistic mastery of Georges Perec and nihilism of Michel Houellebecq, Perfection, translated by Sophie Hughes, is a sociological novel about the emptiness of contemporary existence, beautifully written, brilliantly scathing.

đźď¸ FREE: Liechtenstein Gartenpalais "A History of European Art Market"
For English, scroll down :-)
**Deutsch:**
**English:**
The art market, with all its players, institutions and mechanisms, has always been a source of fascination. The Liechtenstein Garden Palace is currently hosting a groundbreaking international exhibition focusing on the underlying dynamics of the art market for the first time, such as marketplaces, sales strategies and pricing. In this exhibition, the Collections of the Prince of Liechtenstein shed light on the European art trade, from classical antiquity and the Italian city-states of the Renaissance to the Golden Age of the Netherlands, sensational presentations and transatlantic sales in the nineteenth century.
This allows visitors to experience how many phenomena of the art market are essentially centuries old. As trend-setting developments often originated in cities and regions, separate rooms in the special exhibition are dedicated to these centres of innovation, illustrating the progress and novel practices that took place there. This highlights not only the lasting impact of art dealing on the dissemination of works, but also on the development of the arts and art history.
With prominent loans from international collections â including paintings by **Titian**, **Van Dyck**, **Monet** and **Klimt** â as well as major works from the Princely Collections by artists such as **Giambologna**, **Brueghel**, **Rembrandt** and **Canaletto** â this exhibition offers a stimulating historical experience and a feast for the eyes.
**Information for our visit:**
* Further information on the Princely Collections can be found at: [www.liechtensteincollections.at](http://www.liechtensteincollections.at)
* We meet at 3. p.m. at the gate next to the street FĂźrstengasse [https://maps.app.goo.gl/EExmRD4bmRbAspoC7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/EExmRD4bmRbAspoC7)
* After visiting the Palais, we will have a drink together in the cafĂŠ "Das 1090" nearby.

Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows,
Whether youâre a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us!
Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent SchĂśnbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast.
Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too.
What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the SchĂśnbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit GrĂźnbergstraĂe). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the ârunningâ part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :)
We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, weâre off to breakfast!
Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in SchĂśnbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45.
We are a fun group of runners who donât take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier.
Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup.
Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz

The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
**Abstract**
Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively.
This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. Weâll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from serverâdriven controls, and why theyâre becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether youâre maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, youâll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standardsâbased way.

Let's try a Friday Night Fish Fry!
We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM.
It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
