Drawing Cafe [#13] Coffee & Sketching in Berlin
Drawing Cafe [#13] Coffee & Sketching in Berlin
We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Showcase Phase: We show some of the drawings we did to each other. **Who We Are** Creative Sessions is an art events group located in Berlin. **Is it Free?** The event is free of charge. It is advisable to get a drink though. This is a cafe, we need to have at least half of the people on each table with a drink. They accept only cash and most hot drinks cost from 2.50 to 3.50. **How to help or donate?** The event is provided for free but many people help this be a regular thing. We also need people to volunteer and help for minor tasks like the serving of the drinks or cleaning up. Just send us a message. If you want to donate and keep this event from happening, via Paypal to the host (Miltos) : https://ko-fi.com/miltosthings/ **Art Materials?** Bring your own art materials. **Our Instagram Profile** Follow us on instagram @icreativesessions Use the hashtag #icreativesessions on your post description there to find out drawings from the event!
The Mindful Artist's Way: Change of perspectives
The Mindful Artist's Way: Change of perspectives
The Mindful Artist's Way is suitable for anyone who wants to write — without pressure, comparison, or the need for perfection. For anyone who wants to discover their own voice or reconnect with it. This workshop series treats your writing as a mindful and relationship-oriented process. Each session is an invitation to dive deeper into your own perception, voice, and creativity — without pressure to perform, without comparison, without right or wrong. The focus is on writing as a mindful practice: slow, embodied, and connected. Instead of technique, performance, or optimization, it’s about perception, inner security, and the relationship to your own voice. Each workshop is self-contained and at the same time part of a larger journey. Step by step, you are invited to build trust: in yourself, in your writing, and in the creative process. The series is inspired by the mindful and artistic approaches of Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, but follows its own path: gentle, individual, and realistic. Get to know your writing as a partner rather than just a product. What to bring: All you need is your laptop or whatever else you want to write on. I have pens, paper, tea, and vegan cake for you. If you like, bring your headphones, because I’ve created an exclusive writing playlist for you. You can also book the **sessions individually (€15)** **[BOOK HERE](https://sarahniklowitz.de/the-mindful-artists-way/)** Sunday, 08.02.2026 3 - 5 p.m. **Open the Door: Short Stories for Beginners** Sunday, 22.02.2026 3 - 5 p.m. **Writing From Within: Your Body Becomes a Source of Writing** Sunday, 08.03.2026 3 - 5 p.m. **The Art of Not Knowing: Letting Go of Control and Trusting Your Writing** Sunday, 29.03.2026 3 - 5 p.m. **Change of Perspective: Writing From Unusual Angles** Saturday, 11.04.2026 3 - 5 p.m. **Shape Your Story – But Mindfully** Sunday, 26.04.2026 3 - 5 p.m. **Become Visible and Stick With It: Share Your Story And Strengthen Your Relationship With Your Writing**

Portrait Drawing on Sunday Afternoon
Portrait Drawing on Sunday Afternoon
This group is for everyone who is interested in drawing portraits! For me, drawing has been a wonderful way to gain a new perspective on the world and the people within it. Whether you are just starting out or have been drawing for ages — all levels are welcome :) How it works: 1\. We meet at The Castle pub in Mitte and do short sittings of 15 minutes for each other\. The first sitting is divided into 3 warm\-up sketches\, 5 minutes each\. 2\. Before we start\, everybody writes their name on a blank card \(provided by the organizer\); these cards are then used to randomly pick the model every 15 minutes\. 3\. Usually we do 8 sittings\, with a 15\-minute break in the middle \(so after 4 sittings\, or 1 hour\)\. -> The participation is free, but it is expected that everybody orders something from the bar to support the lovely location. Get out your pencils and let's start! Please bring your own art supplies!

Change Of Perspective: Writing From Unusual Angles
Change Of Perspective: Writing From Unusual Angles
*Do you feel like all your texts sound the same, or are you simply stuck in a writing rut? You’re in good company—but it doesn’t have to stay that way! In this writing workshop, you’ll consciously shift your perspective and watch your stories come to life (again), perhaps even surprising you in the process.* Instead of telling everything from your usual perspective, you try out new points of view: you write from other people’s voices, observe like a camera, slip into characters, things, or places. With playful exercises, short moments of mindfulness, and guided writing prompts, you break away from „this is how I always write“ and find completely new approaches to your texts. You don’t need any finished ideas, a „perfect style,“ or talent. Just curiosity and a desire to experiment. **The workshop will help you:** * Overcome writer’s block * Find new perspectives for your writing * Write more creatively and boldly * Break out of stuck patterns * Create lively, multi-layered stories * Rediscover the joy and ease of writing Through several playful writing phases, reflection, and exchange, you will learn that sometimes all it takes is a new perspective—and a whole new story emerges. This workshop is part 4 of the workshop series „The Mindful Artist’s Way“ and can be booked individually or as part of a package. It’s never too late to join, and each workshop is self-contained and effective on its own. All you need is yourself + a laptop or pen and paper. If you like to write with music in your ears, feel free to bring headphones—I’ve prepared a playlist for you. It’s best to wear something comfortable so that you can move freely and feel completely at ease. **Participation fee: €15** **Please sign up with Sarah at kontakt@sarahniklowitz.de**

Whether You're planning a date Sunday, looking to unwind solo, or meeting up with friends, this is Your moment to enjoy the process, get creative, and take home something You made yourself. ‍ > Join us for a relaxed evening of wine and painting — each week brings something new to create, cheers to, and enjoy. #### **WHEN:** Every Sunday 4 - 5 pm **SPECIAL:** Every last Sunday of the Month = Naked Painting (Akt-Zeichnen) ‍ ‍ #### **WHERE:** [DNA. Together, we will talk about these topics: * What you are currently working on * What you need help with * What would you like to help with * What you you would like to learn This is event is great for: * filmmakers * movie nerds * writers * camera operators * editors * actors * sound recorders * composers * gaffers * producers We are limiting the amount of people, so we can have a structured introduction and discussion. After that we get together loosely with some drinks and chats. And then we mostly go for dinner with a couple of us. **Important information**: *To sustain and grow this amazing community, we started a member contribution that is due every month. The money we collect is used solely for the purpose of the community. Of course you can come once or twice without contributing to check us out!*
