The group walk is at a slow pace so you can connect with others, while enjoying the scenery of the city and taking photos along the way. In case of bad weather: bring an umbrella! After about 75 minutes, free time starts: we’ll check in if people like to continue our group walk or if there are other ideas to do in the city. For instance going to a museum, a café, do photography or anything else. If we continue our walk it will be at the same pace, we’ll go to new areas and if there’s enough interest we’ll go for a coffee in between. At 17:00 we’ll stop hosting the event, but on this day the Sterrentocht is organized in Tilburg, starting at 17:00 @Willemsplein. **Details:** Hi everyone! This is the first ever Decoden workshop experience in Amsterdam! Decoden is a Japanese art form where you decorate objects with fake cream and cute gems and charms. Decoden is a short form of "Decorate DenWa" which means decorate mobile phone. Typically phone cases are elaborately covered with a fake plastic whipped cream to look like real cake icing and then embellished with cute charms, gems and jewels and finished with colourful sprinkle and glitter. You can do decoden on any object you like and we will offer 4 options. **Date:** Workshops are on the Second Sunday of every month at 1:30pm. **Workshop Description:** The workshop takes about 2-3 hours depending on the item you want to decorate. All equipment, materials and instructions is included. The workshop will start with an introduction and then you will select your charms and coloured creams. We will instruct you on how to design and plan your decoration on paper first. You will then make you artworks and decorate it with charms. Once complete we will place your artwork in a box and you will then take it home to dry. Drying time usually take 2-3 days. The workshop is a fun and relaxing afternoon of hands on art and craft. It wil be a fun time of crafting, laughing and chatting with people in a nice environment with an excellent soundtrack. Please bring a carrying bag to take home your art work. **Hi Everyone!** **Details:** This is the very first UV Resin shaker keychain workshop experience in Amsterdam! Have you ever seen those really cool resin shaker keychains with liquid and glitter inside? They look like a mini snow globe. In this workshop we will teach you how to make you or persoanl and totally unique keychain! Select from one of our twelve mold designs. (Click on this Meetup's Photo Gallery to see more pictures). MIx the UV resin with your favourite coloured dye and add some glitter. Pour the mixture into the mold and then cure it under a UV light to harden. Embellish the model with beads, charms and sprinkles tomake it uniquelly yours! Next cover the top with a clear film and doming it with clear resin. Hey! This is our first event. So yeah the idea is to meet up make some art and have a good time! It doesnt really matter what medium you choose or how good you think you are. The point is to be encouraged to take some time out of the week to make art, for whatever reason you do it for. Im not associated to the restaurant Elixer by the way, its just my favorite one so I thought about doing it there. I think its a quirky and happy place. The address is Batjanstraat 1a. Meetups charges me 46 a month to host the group and the events. If you can pelase send me a donation so I can continue to host these. If I make a profit from this, I thought about using it to muy some art materials and/or books to bring to the gatherings.

Please join us every other Sunday. What you can expect: We will have coffee, tea and snacks ready for you. As we settle into the practice we will sit and become comfortable in our chairs or cushions. I will ease us into a guided meditation progressively working from the base of our spine, our root chakra to your crown. Once we have completed the chakra wash we will sit for an additional 5-10 minutes. The full meditation will last between 25-35 minutes. **History** The Columbus Museum of Art traces its roots to 1878, when it was founded as the Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts, becoming the first art museum chartered in Ohio. A group of civic leaders established it to bring touring exhibitions and build a public collection. In 1887, it merged with the Columbus Art School (now CCAD) fostering a long partnership in arts education. Initially without a permanent home, the museum operated from temporary spaces until 1919, when art patron Francis C. Sessions deeded his Victorian mansion on East Broad Street to house the growing institution. As collections expanded in the early 20th century, the need for a dedicated building became clear. The Sessions mansion was demolished, and a new Italian Renaissance Revival structure was erected on the same site, opening to the public in 1931. The inside of the brewery is "okay-sized," but again, the brewery is popular and by the time we get there, we may have no choice but to sit outside. If it's cold, I can and will ask them to fire up some of their additional outdoor heaters, which I think should be enough, but please bring something to keep you warm just in case we end up outside. Finally, while food at the Biergarten can be a little overpriced, in my experience it is excellent, and you are likely to enjoy whatever you get. We should be there by 1:00 if you can't make the Museum and just want to meet us for drinks.

The topic for January is "Chemistry" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 7:00 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience.
