Strategic Thinking Lab for Emerging Leaders - Make real decisions.
Strategic Thinking Lab for Emerging Leaders - Make real decisions.
If you’ve recently stepped into leadership, you’re probably facing decisions that feel heavier than expected. Not because they’re complicated. Because they involve trade-offs. You might be circling: * A hire you’re unsure about * A pricing change with ripple effects * A pivot that feels risky * A messy internal process * A trade-off with no clean answer This is a small, facilitated working session (max 3 participants). We take real decisions and think them through properly. Not networking. Not theory. Not pitching. Structured thinking. ### Format • 3 participants • Each brings one real decision • We clarify the actual problem • Separate facts from assumptions • Map options and consequences • Identify trade-offs • Define the next move

Camping Cake - Bushcraft Bake Off
Camping Cake - Bushcraft Bake Off
If you are anything like me, you wouldn't want to do anything else on your birthday but be outdoors right? Whether by yourself or with friends, a birthday wouldn't be a birthday without cake! Wouldn't you love to know how you can muster up a cake while you are out in the field? And if you are wondering, is this even possible? I can confirm, after doing a bit of research, forking hell, you absolutely can! So come and bake a bushcraft cake with us! It's easier than you think. You only see people cooking savoury dishes or packet desserts. Baking (or steaming) a cake will come in handy one day to celebrate any occasion and actually be great fun to learn. This event is on the same day as Phil's birthday - hence the theme! Happy birthday Phil 🥳. He is a much loved member of the group and friend. THE RULES 🤓 🎂It has to be a cake of some description. Any cake. It can be as small or as big as you like 🎂You can bring pre-prepared mixtures, icings and toppings from home if you want. You can even use packet mixes. It just has to be cooked and assembled on site in camping cookware. 🎂You have to cook it on a stove - any portable cooking stove or fire. No ground fires please. 🎒WHAT YOU WILL NEED ▫️Ingredients ▫️Portable stove or fire ▫️Camping cookware & utensils ▫️Camping chair or sit pad ▫️Snacks ▫️Water ▫️First aid kit ❌ NO PEANUTS 📍Braintree (exact location tbc) 📅 5th April ⌚1pm - 4.30pm 💳 FREE I have deliberately excluded recipes! This is to increase the chances of us all baking something different. Your cake does not need to be perfect, we're just going to experiment, have fun and learn together. Please note - this event is not a formal training event. I am not an expert in baking bushcraft cakes. This is a fun, collaborative, peer-led event rather than an instructional workshop. Attendees are responsible for their own participation and safety. If you have any questions or tips, please leave a comment. Alternatively, you can mesaage me. I'd love to hear from you, Cake it easy, Jo 🌳

London Society WALK - Camden Town to Baker Street Good Friday edition
London Society WALK - Camden Town to Baker Street Good Friday edition
Happy Good Friday to you all! Have you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk and socialise at the same time? If so, this may be the right walk for you. Welcome to another one of the WALK events where you have the opportunity to explore all the scenic routes I’ll execute whether there’s nature within, whether we get immersed within the city and feel great about yourself.

With this particular walk, it’s a casual one that involves a scenic view, nature and the city all intertwined. To be precise, we’ll be walking from Camden Town through the canals (The scary way) then have a breather on top of Primrose Hill to embrace the Skyline to see the sunset, then back down through the canals and roads up to Baker Street. After this walk, we will be heading to the metropolitan bar Wetherspoons. This branch is one of the elegant ones which used to be a hotel if not an art gallery. It’s modern yet historical and has some elements of class. If you want to go there after the walk, feel free. My fellow explorers, if you enjoyed the event, I’m more than happy to accept any donations which of course are optional but will go a long way to help me unlock and deliver even more exciting and engaging events and resources: https://www.paypal.me/calvinjoy

Starting point: Camden Town Station
Ending point: Baker Street
Walking length: 3.4 miles
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes +
Required clothing: Smart casual, comfortable shoes and a jacket in case it gets cold
Departure: 20 minutes after the meeting time.

Disclaimers: Please be on your best behaviour and respect one another. This group doesn’t tolerate any misbehaviour and misconduct. Should such a thing take place, you will be removed. If you ask a question that either already has the answer to it or doesn’t relate to the event at all, I won’t respond. Whenever an event takes place, I will cut off contact 20 minutes after the event commences. If you message even 1 minute after the cut off time, I won’t be available as I’m conducting the event. There will be photography and videography by myself so if you are photo conscious and/or do not want to be in the video, do kindly inform me and I’ll try my utmost best to not involve you in the picture. Let’s all be responsible but please be aware you come at your own risk. Do be mindful of your possessions, belongings and most importantly, your safety. Free in-person event: Take Control of Your Mental Health
Free in-person event: Take Control of Your Mental Health
It’s time to take control of your mental health. How do you get rid of stress, anxiety and uncertainty? These emotions are buried deep in your reactive mind. Find out what the reactive mind is, and in the process find yourself. Have you ever suffered from a traumatic experience, a deep loss or been through a painful breakup? Has your ability to communicate suffered as a result? And after that, even though you "moved on" did you find that things were never quite the same? Have you ever looked at childhood photos, or reminisced your early life and wondered where that happiness and spark went? Are your emotions out of your own control? Have you ever felt, even if you aren’t aware of it, that possibly you are getting in your own way of your happiness and success? How does this affect your self-confidence? Find out what is at the root of all stress, anxiety, depression and self-doubt. Find out how and why you hold yourself back from achieving your goals and having the life you have dreamed of. As soon as you learn what is at the root of these unwanted conditions, you’ll see it is something you can DO something about. You will not be labeled or categorized at this MeetUp.
Tour of Brothers Drake Meadery and mead/tea tasting
Tour of Brothers Drake Meadery and mead/tea tasting
Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads. Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead. Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun. Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards. Park anywhere around the building. Please avoid parking in front of the houses in the neighborhood behind the Meadery. Please keep your RSVP current. Knowing how many will attend will help Brothers Drake plan accordingly to accommodate us.
