As regulatory landscapes tighten worldwide — with mandates like the EU's Digital Product Passport (DPP) reshaping accountability — businesses can no longer treat compliance as an option. This seminar will explore the convergence of policy, technology, and strategy, with AI-powered product lifecycle management tools to automate compliance, predict regulatory shifts, and embed transparency from design to disposal. Speakers will share how to transform complex requirements into streamlined operations, turning policy adherence into a driver of innovation across garment fashion, F&B, and retail sectors. Focus points: * Decoding global regulations: What DPP means for your industry * AI in action: Smart tools for track and trace, managing product data across the entire lifecycle * From burden to benefit: Building competitive advantage through intelligent compliance Register Now: [Link](https://www.gs1hk.org/events/seminar-20260417/register)

Nippon second edition
Nippon second edition
We'll play the second edition of “Nippon”, an economic area-majority game. Please watch the rules video beforehand, I will answer any rules questions before we start play. BGG: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/434367/nippon-zaibatsu Rules video: https://youtu.be/8XwovNGtuco?si=QvT_FuLiGRgxRFhV ============================== Nippon: Zaibatsu is a new edition of Nippon, a fast-paced, area-majority economic game. Players control "zaibatsu": massive conglomerates of interconnected companies driving Japan's economy in the Industrial Revolution era. During the game, players invest in new industries, build factories and railroads, and produce goods to saturate local markets and fulfill contracts — all to grow their influence and power and to become rulers of the new modernized country. Players are free to choose their playstyle and winning strategy: They choose what they score victory points for, control the game's pace with income turns, and race each other to get the most beneficial factories, markets, and bonuses. ================================= The fee will be paid directly to the venue and the cost is about $70 per person. They do not sell food there, but you may bring takeaways or order food for delivery.

BYOBook: non-fiction books presentations and discussion
BYOBook: non-fiction books presentations and discussion
This is a regular Bring-Your-Own-Book session, where participants share and present to the group non-fiction books they have read. New members are welcome to attend to listen to and discuss the presentations of others. Usually a meeting takes around 2.5-3 hours. During this time we discuss 2 different books, roughly 1 hour per book. Any non-fiction material: a book, documentary, or lecture or a part of it - anything with a title and an author and that contains some coherent ideas. Each presentation includes a summary of a book (15-40 min) and discussion (accordingly). The meeting will be either in a park or in a coffee shop, on HK side. The exact place to be confirmed with the attendees **by WhatsApp only**. I will / have sent the link to the WhatsApp group, please use the link. Introvert friendly. We have people from different countries, so while books can be in any language, the language of the meeting is English. There is a fee of 20 HKD for the first timers to help funding the Meetup membership needed to run the group. Do not hit "Attend" if you are not going to attend. If you RSVPed, but there is anything preventing you from going to the meeting, remember to tell the host as soon as possible and/or update the RSVP - before the RSVP is closed, to give other people a chance to take your spot. But if you plan to attend, do hit "Attend", please :))) No-shows are all silently noted with much disapproval and will be removed from the group.
