I am a trained lifeguard (SLRG), I did also the Hypothermia Module and I am swimming in the cold since 2015. Floating down the Limmat is back to kick-start your summer! 💙💙💙 Bring your boat, air mattress, or inflatable sea creature and tighten your life jacket for an adventure downstream. 🔥🔥🔥At the end of the event, where we end the floating, there is a public grill you can use it to grill or a restaurant where you can order foods and drink. We'll gather on the grass at Wipkinger Park from 13:00 to prepare for a chill ride down the river. We'll start to depart around 14:00, so we have an hour to socialize and inflate our fleet before we slowly drift our way down to Glazenberg (Grillplatz Allmend). June 21 is also the longest day for maximum illumination and energy from the sun. By the lake first we'll ground ourselves and then energize ourselves through classical yoga, breathing techniques, meditation, and deep relaxation. The goal is to calm our mind, and restore inner balance. Surrounded by fresh air and the soothing presence of lake water, discover how nature supports healing, clarity, and renewed energy. After the session, enjoy an optional refreshing dip in the Obersee lake to complete this memorable experience. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can sometimes fill esrly. There is additional parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
