A lovely session of music and song in a relaxed and supportive environment. All levels of musician and singer welcome. You can come and sing or play one song or just come and listen to the other members. Great way to build up your playing skills and build up your confidence. We don't pay the bar for this session, so make sure you buy at least one drink. Charge €2.

Weekly pickup game, been running consistently for a while now. Good group of players, decent level -not too serious, not a kick-about either. 6 a side pitch, ball and bibs sorted. **€8.5 per person** — covers the pitch booking in SportsCo plus a bit for the equipment. I book the pitch, show up early, bring the balls and bibs, sort the teams on the night. I'm playing too, so it's not a managed session — just someone keeping it organised so it actually happens every week. Bring boots that work on turf, no metal studs, shin pads if you're used to wearing them, and water. We cap at 11. If you book and can't make it, cancel early so someone off the waitlist can jump in. For our next Tog Science Fiction Book Club, we’ll be reading ***Rakesfall* by Vajra Chandrasekera**. Join us **in person** on **Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:30 pm** at **Tog Hackerspace** for an evening of science fiction discussion, ideas, and good company. *Vajra Chandrasekera’s* work is known for being imaginative, layered, and full of big themes, so this should give us plenty to talk about on the night. Whether you’ve read the whole book, only just started, or simply want to come along and listen, you’re very welcome. Progress to make a simple piece of clothing! TOG will be open on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:30 for a general Open House event. Expect to find members and visitors in the space up to all sorts of activities. It's a great time to drop in and see what the space is about. If you're an artist, tinkerer, maker or just plain curious, come in and see what the space is about. Maybe you already have something to work on (or want to), have something to fix, create, design, bodge or tinker... drop in. We're also open for just for plain old social chat and hang out, with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. We have lots of free parking right outside our door.

As the venue hosts us for free, we kindly ask that you support the bar by purchasing a drink or two. ​A Note on Parking: The car park directly outside is convenient but strictly monitored, so please double-check the rates to avoid a €125 unclamping fee! Hi, all Independent Movie Lovers. You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 26th of June, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin. We will discuss the film: **Tuner**, (2025), by Canadian director Daniel Roher. Daniel Roher won the 2023 Oscar for best Documentary Feature with 'Navalny'. We will also discuss **Last Year at Marienbad**, (1961), directed by Alain Resnais, who is maybe best known for 'Hisroshima Mon Amour'. We will watch the movies independently, and meet for discussion on Friday the 26th of June, at 7 pm, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square. **Tuner** is showing at several Dublin cinemas until Thursday the 18th of June. **Last Year at Marienbad** is available for online rental on YouTube, Apple TV and Sky Store. Welcome to lockpicking at Tog. Join us as we teach the various methods of picking and bypassing common locks in Ireland. All equipment provided. Warm clothes reccomended as the heating isnt the best.

Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.

Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot.
