[ENGLISH] This is a meetup formed with the intention of making connections between people interested in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, as well as his other works. Whether you're still working through your first Discworld books (in whatever order you decide!) or you're an experienced fan, this is an opportunity to make new friends who enjoy Discworld/Pratchett, discuss the books and characters, and branch out into other related interests as well:) We aim to ensure this is a friendly and welcoming space for everyone - after all, it's being initiated by proudly queer immigrants from different parts of the world! We expect the main conversation languages to be English and Spanish, though we will not shy away from welcoming other speakers into the discussion whenever possible. There is no need to have a lot of experience with Discworld, just a genuine interest in the topic. This FREE event will take place at the Biblioteca El Clot - Josep Benet by Metro Glories, in the same building as the Museu de Disenny. It will start at around 12:45. We will have a place to sit and chat. The library closes at 14:00, so we will need to clear out by then, but there are many places to eat very closeby and anyone who would like to continue chatting and hanging out (hopefully with newly made friends!) will be welcome to have a drink or tapas together. No need to bring anything but good vibes and a willingness to make conversation, but if you want to bring any Discworld merch or other items to show off, be our guest! David es una de estas personas que contagia su curiosidad por la vida, por la gente, además de un buen humor indestructible. Tenemos la suerte de conocerlo de algunas de las actividades de este grupo y como sabemos que hace muy poco ha publicado su primer libro le hemos pedido con mucho cariño que nos lo presente. Sus historias y algunos capítulos de su vida son para hacer un libro o una película. Hemos hablado de varias cosas divertidas que pueden pasar en la presentación pero aun no tenemos todos los detalles. We invite you to the presentation of "Coming Out at Any Age" by David Hartman. David is one of those people who spreads curiosity about life and people, along with an indestructible sense of humor. We're lucky enough to know him from some of this group's activities, and since we know he recently published his first book, we've kindly asked him to present it to us. His stories and some chapters of his life are worthy of a book or a film. We've talked about several fun things that might happen at the presentation, but we don't have all the details yet. The plan is: We'll meet at El Punto, in the area upstairs, at 6:30 p.m. We have the space for one hour, so we need to be on time. Afterwards, we can have something else to drink there (optional). Hi and welcome to our next Socrates Café philosophy meetup! Do you have a hunger for a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue?
