The Next Chapter: Looking Back, Leaning Forward, A WIA Vision Circle
As we step into a new year, many of us are carrying lessons, practices, and questions shaped by the year behind us.
The Next Chapter: Looking Back, Leaning Forward is a warm, facilitated vision circle designed to help us pause together, reflect on what truly worked, and imagine what we want to carry forward into what comes next.
This is not a talk or presentation.
Itâs a small, participatory gathering focused on shared reflection, sense-making, and connection.
**Together, weâll explore:**
* What supported you over the past year â in your work, leadership, or life
* What youâre ready to leave behind
* What you want next Januaryâs version of yourself to be saying
To support reflection in different ways, weâll also have optional art materials available for anyone who would like to create a simple artifact for their year â a visual or tactile reminder of what theyâre carrying forward.
Weâll provide basic art supplies such as colored pencils, markers, paint pens, and small canvases. If you enjoy working with collage or other media, youâre warmly invited to bring magazines, stickers, or your favorite creative materials to use or share. Participation in the creative portion is completely optional.
You donât need a plan, goals, or polished answers. Curiosity, honesty, and listening are more than enough.
The intention is for everyone to leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and inspired â with a clearer sense of what matters to them and how we can support one another as a community.
Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate.
⸝
**What to Expect**
* A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup)
* Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak
* Reflection, listening, and lived experience â not advice-giving
* Optional creative reflection using simple art materials
* A calm, supportive environment
⸝
**Who This Is For**
Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change â especially those looking for thoughtful conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords.
⸝
**Good to Know**
* No preparation required
* Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome
* Creative activities are optional â you can simply listen and reflect
* Youâre welcome to bring your own collage or craft materials if youâd like
* Location details will be shared with registered attendees
Columbus Code & Coffee 82 @ Improving
Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. It's entirely up to you!
**What to Expect at the Intro Circle**
\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~
Near the beginning of the event (1:30 pm), we do a standup:
* Organizer announcements, updates, and logistics
Round 1 - (7 secs max):
* Your name
* What you're working on
* What you can help others with
Round 2:
* Community events you wanna plug. If none, that's cool too.
Round 3:
* Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool.
After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized! Feel free to work alone, pair up, attend one of our workshops/presentations, or mingle!

Shut Up & Write!ÂŽ Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One CafĂŠ, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator.
Join us on Sunday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking!
⢠What we'll do
Join us for an hour of writing! Weâve discovered that itâs strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if itâs true for you at noon on Sundays.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
12:00 - quick intros.
12:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour.
1:10 - chat / take off / keep writing.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 1-1:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you!
⢠What to bring
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible.
See you at The CafĂŠ on Sunday!
Yarn Social at Northwest Library
If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, working with yarn, this is the group for you. Meet new friends, bring your projects, learn from others.â¨We normally meet a few times a month during the week from 6-8pm. We will occasionally meet on weekends during daytime hours.

Online Masterclass: The Private Lenderâs Thrival Guide with Goodwin Yee
(Note: RSVPing here on meetup does NOT reserve your seat. To do that, youâll need to register at our website, **[HERE](https://www.coreerocks.com/Events.aspx?ID=Online-Masterclass-The-Private-Lender-s-Thrival-Guide-14-1-24-2026)**.)
Private lending got riskier in 2025âand pretending it didnât is how lenders are gonna get burned in 2026.
Deals are taking longer to sell. Rents arenât hitting projections, but expenses are exceeding them. And lenders who relied on loose underwriting, minimal paperwork, and âItâs Ok, I trust youâ terms are finding out why those habits only work in hot markets.
Thatâs why weâre hosting this all-day, online workshop **designed for people who are already private lendersâor want to beâand want to protect their money in a slower, flatter 2026 market.**
Youâll learn how to evaluate deals, borrowers, and paperwork the right way, how to structure safer loans, and how to deal with troubled loans before they become disasters.
This session is open to members and non-members at all experience levels. Itâs as little as $47 for members and $97 for non-members (which is CHEAP compared to missing even one payment on a private loan!) if you register by January 22nd.
The workshop will be recorded, and all registrants receive the recording, so sign up even if you canât âbe thereâ. Oh, and thereâs a 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back.
Remember, to actually reserve your seat, you have to go **[HERE](https://www.coreerocks.com/Events.aspx?ID=Online-Masterclass-The-Private-Lender-s-Thrival-Guide-14-1-24-2026)** and register on our website!

## **Broke to 8 Figures: Live Panel + Open Q&A with 3 Young Investors Who Built Real Wealth Through Real Estate**
A decade ago, none of them were âset.â
10 years ago, these three werenât millionaires.
They werenât influencers.
They were broke, doubting themselves and fighting to make their first deal workâŚjust like a lot of people trying to get into real estate today.
Now, two of the Columbus Investors Clubâs founders, **Tiffany and** **Josh High**, sit down with **Austin Rutherford**⌠a fellow Columbus native who went from parking cars as a valet to owning a **$30M+ real estate portfolio.**
Together, theyâve flipped and wholesaled **thousands of homes**, raised **millions in private money**, and built businesses that run without them in the day to day⌠creating both wealth and freedom before 35.
This isnât a highlight reel. Itâs a real conversation about what it actually takes to build something that lasts⌠the fears they had to face, the habits that changed everything, and the systems that got them there.
Youâll laugh, youâll take notes, and youâll walk away seeing whatâs truly possible no matter where youâre starting from.
**What Youâll Learn**
* How three broke twenty-somethings built 7â8 figure real estate businesses
* The mindset shifts that separate wishful thinking from real wealth
* How to raise private money even if youâve never done a deal
* Whatâs working right now in flipping, wholesaling, and building a portfolio
* How to create financial and time freedom through systems and people
**Open Q&A - Ask Them Anything About**
* Raising private money with confidence
* Finding and structuring profitable deals
* Getting past fear, self-doubt, or âIâm not ready yetâ
* Scaling your business without burning out
* Building a team that actually performs
**Who Youâll Hear From**
**Austin Rutherford** â From valet to a $30M+ rental portfolio. He has flipped and wholesaled hundreds of houses alongside his rental portfolio and recently got into commercial deals.
**Tiffany & Josh High** â Founders of **Heels Homes** and **Results Driven REI**. Theyâve built multiple 7- and 8-figure companies, including a fully virtual real estate operation closing 250+ deals a year. Through Results Driven REI, they help experienced investors install the people, processes, and infrastructure needed to build a truly self-managing company.
