In this workshop, we’ll explore how to move from playing written melodies to creating your own variations and ideas. We’ll start with simple rhythmic and melodic variations and gradually dive into improvising using different scales and modes— always focusing on making beautiful, expressive lines. Along the way, we’ll discover how to play with others; through musical interplay, we’ll learn how to respond, support, and create something together in the moment.
