La data límit d’inscripció es fins les 22:00 del dissabte. **DESCRIPCIÓ DE L’ACTIVITAT** Interesant caminada per la riera de Gaià on gaudirem dels impressionants pilars coronats, unes formacions geològiques formades per la erosió de l’aire i del aigua que prenen les formes de tubs d’orgues i pilars amb barret. Arribarem a Sant Miquel de Gonteres havent esmorzats al tren ja que en aquest lloc no trobarem cap bar on prendre un cafè o anar-hi al bany. Des de l’estació baixarem cap a la riera de Gaià no sense haver fet una volta per veure el **Castell de Sant Miquel** i la **Capella de Santa Marria de Toudell**, documentada des de l'any 1085. Era possessió del monestir de Sant Cugat del Vallès. Està situada al costat de la masia de can Tries. L'edifici actual podria ser de començament del segle XII. Consta d'una nau de planta rectangular, coberta amb volta de canó, un absis semicircular i un magnífic campanar de torre. Ja dins de la riera haurem de salvar els tolls que s’hagin format amb les pluges ja que habitualment no te cabal d'aigua i anant mirant els contraforts de la llera on es troben les formes geològiques motiu de la nostre caminada d’avui. Quan deixem enrere aquestes formacions sortirem de la riera seguint la ruta de les rieres fins la font de la Teula, punt de retorn cap a Terrassa. Si ens dona temps passarem per l’Ermita del Sagrat Cor de Jesús o Can Boada. Arribats a l’estació de tren donarem per acabada la sortida i qui vulgui tornar a casa por agafar els tren (13:30 – 13:45 – 14:00 – 14:15 - 14:30 – etc....) i qui vulgui quedar-s’hi

If you can't make the hike, we should be there by noon. **How to find our starting point in Big Meadows:** If you are new to Highbanks, the Big Meadows picnic area is 1.5 miles into the park just after you turn into the park off of U.S. Route 23. That is, after you enter the park, drive a mile and a half into the park. You will come to a crosswalk with a yield sign in the middle of it (this is not to be confused with the first such crosswalk you come to just in front of the Nature Center, which you arrive at maybe a quarter of a mile into the park). Just after this second crosswalk, make a left. Then make another almost immediate left into the parking lot on your left. There you will see the jungle gym and the kiddie zip line to your left. I will be just in front of the restrooms just a bit further down from the jungle gym and picnic shelter; the restroom building will also be on your left.

Join us for a flat 2.6 mile hike along the Alum Creek Trail from the rear parking lot of the Easton Hilton Garden Inn to the Strawberry Farms Park and back. This scenic trail along Alum Creek is a gem. Come and hike it with us!
