Sourdough Intro & Tasting 26.04
This event is a fun and beginner-friendly introduction to the world of sourdough alongside a delicious sourdough tasting.
You’ll learn the basics about the sourdough starter: what it is, how it needs to be maintained, and how to bake delicious and healthy bread with it. During the session, we’ll feed our starters together, and you’ll go home with your own active sourdough starter, plus a clear step-by-step recipe and guide to help you bake your first loaf at home.
To spark inspiration and motivation, the event includes a sourdough tasting. You’ll enjoy a selection of freshly baked sourdough breads with delicious dips, along with soft drinks and tea. There’s plenty of time to chat, ask questions, and connect with others in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Perfect if you’re curious about sourdough, want to get started without pressure, and enjoy learning while sharing good food and conversation.

Pohela Boishakh Supper Club - Bengali Newyear celebration
Bengali New Year Celebration
Step into a new year, Bengali style 🌿✨
Pohela Boishakh marks the Bengali New Year—a celebration of renewal, simplicity, community, and food that is deeply rooted in tradition. This evening is an invitation to experience that spirit in an intimate, thoughtfully curated supper club setting.
If you’re new to Bengali cuisine, this is a beautiful place to begin. The menu will center around bhorta—a traditional style of preparing food where vegetables, seeds, and herbs are gently mashed together with mustard oil, spices, and care. It’s humble, soulful, and incredibly expressive of Bengali home cooking.
This edition will be fully vegetarian, highlighting the diversity and depth of plant-based dishes in Bengali culture. Each preparation carries a story- of seasonality, resourcefulness, and the art of making something extraordinary from simple ingredients.
The full menu will be shared a few days before the event. If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you thoughtfully.
✨ What to expect:
– A curated cultural dining experience
– A chance to learn about Bengali New Year traditions
– Warm, communal seating and storytelling through food
– A slower, more intentional way to connect over a meal

This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired.
**New to electronics or curious about tinkering?**
You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building.
While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
