Macellaio is an Italian restaurant famous for its fine steak. In fact, Macellaio means "butcher". The steak they serve is exclusively from the Fassona beef breed, which is native to the mountain valleys in the north of Genoa. Macellaio takes pride in sourcing authentic Italian ingredients, preparing them with love, and expertly cooking each dish bringing to life a delightful trattoria dining experience. ​ **The menu is primarily focused on quality beef,** however there are also some vegetarian starters and main courses (pasta) and a chicken main course. With typical restaurant mark-ups these wines would cost around £60 on their wine list, so this is a great opportunity to enjoy delicious food and drink fine wines without paying restaurant prices (for the wine!). The Second Of 2026 Spitalfields Tea Dances are . A free tea dance inside Spitalfields's market with the Covent garden dance orchestra. Come Rain or shine This Outdoor Dance always goes ahead with Great Quality as the Dance is Under Covers in Crispin Place Free dancing, tea and cakes from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm. Many good dancers, who are friendly and will happily dance with newcomers. [) George Tudor Hart Says about this Dance "There's a nine piece dance orchestra in white tuxedos, an area of the floor sectioned off as a large dance floor and seats for around 120 people. Free tea and cakes are served at around 1.30 pm, The dancers are a mix of locals who many of whom have lived in Spitalfields for yonks, and visitors from other parts of London. The music is good, quicksteps are in abundance, and there's some, but not too much, sequence dancing. When I was there the crowd were friendly, all could dance and were easy and obliging when asked to dance to ask to dance. Several were very good dancers. The area was sheltered and tea and cakes were served efficiently, and with style in China cups, not styrophone. There are clean public loos within in the market. The stalls in the market are interesting and varied, Some good hat shops are there, and Tracey Ermine's shop is around the corner outside the market. With this particular event, we will be exploring an array of ice cream parlours that revolves around Italy. We will also be savouring what they may deliver. Based on research and experience, the places we are to visit have some of the finest ice cream parlours which has brought joy to the world. Here are the ice cream parlours we’ll be visiting: * Anita Gelato * Badiani * Amorino So the plan is extremely simple. We’re to visit each food place and savour their unique delicacies hence the term ‘Chocolate crawl’. This is the opportunity to explore the Food places, eat, drink, make new friends but most importantly, have an enjoyable yet memorable experience. Let’s be real... the only thing better than a Sunday morning run is a Sunday morning run that involves **FIVE** different bakeries, immaculate vibes, and a park picnic with the girls. Welcome to the Girly Bakery Run - not your average run club, but a rolling 5k pastry crawl through central London! Whether you run every day, haven't run since school, or literally just want to walk and eat baked goods (same), you need to be here. This is the ultimate, low-pressure Sunday morning. Think: beautiful London streets, securing the bag(s) at five iconic spots, and ending with a huge community picnic in the park to sip our coffees, debrief, and eat our body weight in butter. ### 🎀 The Setup We’ve escalated this to a 5-stop tour because we simply couldn't narrow it down. We've got the route, the timings, and the picnic spot completely sorted so you can just rock up and vibe. * **The Route:** We’re doing a \~5k loop hitting up **Chestnut Bakery**, **Ole & Steen**, **Cöödie**, plus **two surprise stops** along the way (& moreeee!). We will be ending the route at our final stop to grab iced coffees/matchas before heading to the park. * **What’s included:** Your ticket is a tiny cover charge to help us host the event, map out this epic 5-stop route, run the community, and set up our post-run picnic spot! * **The Strategy:** Sharing is HIGHLY recommended! The best way to survive a 5-stop pastry crawl is to split treats with your new besties so you get to taste a little bit of everything without crashing before the park. * **What to bring:** * **The Cargo:** Bring a small backpack, tote, or cross-body bag to safely stash your pastries as we move! * **The Funds:** Everyone will be buying their own treats and final coffees, so have your Apple Pay ready. (You can obviously eat a little as we go, hehe, but the ultimate goal is to build a massive stash for the park!) ### 📍 The Details * **When:** Sunday 5th July, meeting at 10:00 AM sharp. * **Start Line:** Bond Street Station (Elizabeth Line). * **The Paces:** Choose your own adventure! We’ll be splitting into two groups, and **we will have a dedicated leader for both**, so absolutely no one gets left behind: * 🏃‍♀️ **The Slow Run Group:** A super easy, chatty, sexy pace. * 🚶‍♀️ **The Walking Group:** A gorgeous, leisurely stroll between bakeries. * *(Note: We are leaving lots of time for the movement, queuing at 5 different stops, and getting to know each other.
