Vernissage: Tales of Texture. Danica Ružić
Vernissage: Tales of Texture. Danica Ružić
A curious psychologist turned artist, an imaginative online community & generative AI technology: What happens when they collide? Step into the unexpected — join us and shape the story! "Tales of Texture" is a collection of A3 sized mixed-media paintings, featuring unique and hand crafted textured elements (Texture Peelies). The series explores the dynamic interplay of vibrant, surreal neon colors and organic, earthy textures. With each piece the artist invites viewers to explore the depths of their own imagination and uncover hidden forms and stories within the layered textures. Online comments and interpretations of the original paintings inspired the artist to bring the comments to life using genAI technology. The aim of this exhibition is to continue the dialogue with the audience outside of the virtual and within the real world. **About the Artist** Danica Ružić is a Berlin-based contemporary artist whose vibrant and whimsical works captivate audiences, spark joy, and inspire self-reflection. Born in Zagreb, Croatia, Danica navigated frequent relocations in her youth, with art and family as her constants. Her background in psychology fuels her fascination with the therapeutic potential of creativity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Danica turned to urban sketching, which deepened her self-exploration and healing through art. Her more recent abstract paintings, characterized by bright colors, magical creatures, rainbows, and glitter celebrate childlike imagination and invite viewers to embrace self-discovery. Danica's mission is to inspire others, showcasing creativity as a powerful tool for healing and self-expression. She encourages celebrating the beauty and intricacy of the Self, advocating for authenticity and vulnerability in a changing world. She shares her passion in “Beyond the Brush: Alternative Art Practices” painting workshops, inspiring participants to create abstract art using recycled materials. Her work, praised for sparking curiosity and evoking a sense of possibility, blurs the lines between reality and imagination. **Contact:** [www.layersbydanica.com](www.layersbydanica.com)
Shuffle/Cutting Shapes Class
Shuffle/Cutting Shapes Class
This is a **shuffle**/**cutting shapes** class for beginner and intermediate shufflers where we'll learn a 16-count choreo. **Beginner shufflers** will get the chance to learn some basic steps and practice them stress-free in a short choreo to various speeds. **Intermediate shufflers** will learn to vary these basic steps with additional leg and arm movements, learn to combine them in new ways, keep practicing their foundations, and try to integrate the new combos into their freestyle. If you're a complete beginner and wanna try some basic moves by yourself before the class, you can watch this video on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xOAJA598uk But you don't have to - don't worry and come just by! **What you need to bring with you:** **Shoes**: If you'd prefer not to shuffle in socks, please bring a pair of dedicated clean athletic shoes with white soles. **Water**: because Shuffling is like an intense cardio workout :) **Fee**: 10€ (in cash or paypal after the event) to cover the cost of the rent, because we're not doing it for profit. Anatomy of the Convertible Loan Agreement
Anatomy of the Convertible Loan Agreement
**🎉 Happy New Year, Startup Berlin! 🎉** First of all: happy new year to everyone in the community – founders, builders, operators, and the startup-curious 👋 I’m excited to step in as a new organizer and help keep Startup Berlin a practical, founder-first network. To kick off 2026, I’m thinking about a **casual “Happy New Year” get-together** in Berlin: * 🍕 Pizza & 🍺 beer * 🤝 relaxed networking * 🎓 a **30-minute practical intro session**: **“Anatomy of a … agreement”** (no legalese, no theory – just what actually matters in practice) After the short session, plenty of time to hang out, meet people, and exchange war stories. **Update: It is going to be about the Convertible Loan Agreement!** Further topics to be covered in future sessions: * Shareholders’ Agreement – control, vetoes, deadlocks, exits * Employment Agreements – early hires, ESOP/VSOP, typical pitfalls * Founder Agreements – equity splits, vesting, break-ups * Something else? (tell us!) If there’s enough interest, I’ll organize a date and venue shortly (presumably Feb 6th). Depending on the turn-out we might have to restrict participation due to available space (we will find a way for doing it fairly and no worries, there will be more sessions and I am happy to repeat). Looking forward to hearing what would be most valuable for the community – and hopefully seeing many of you in person soon. 🚀

Nach einer kurzen Pause geht es mit einer #Sohbet, einer Sufi-Ansprache, weiter, denn der Weg der Sufis ist der Weg der Ansprache und der Gemeinschaft. [face to face] Interview Simulation
[face to face] Interview Simulation
Join this **Interview Simulation** session — to sharpen the skills for both interviews **and** architectural pitches. 💡 How it works The event is split into three parts: 1. **Answers for common behavioral questions** \- at the beginning\, I will read some common interview questions\, explain what they mean\, and give the correct answers\. 2. **Interview Simulation (10 minute rounds)** – One participant acts as the interviewee and answers a round of behavioral and design-focused questions. Each other participant gets to ask him one interview question. 3. **Feedback Round** – The group provides feedback on communication, structure, and clarity. Constructive criticism is encouraged. 💡You will be asked: * **Behavioral questions** (“Tell me about yourself”, “Describe a challenge you faced...”) * **Technical questions** (based on your tech stack) * **Light design problems** (high-level reasoning, not code) No need to prepare anything in advance — just bring curiosity and an open mind. Feel free to bring your CV if you’d like feedback from others, or share a few words if you’re currently job hunting. If so, we will also brainstorm answers to more common questions that you were asked. Lesen. Schreiben. Teilen.
Lesen. Schreiben. Teilen.
Azure CBUS February: Build Your Own MCP Server
Azure CBUS February: Build Your Own MCP Server
### Tools in your AI's Toolbox : An introduction to MCP Servers The generative AI revolution has unlocked unprecedented capabilities, but the next frontier is agency: empowering models to interact with, query, and act upon the world. The current challenge is the “N x M integration problem,” where every AI model requires a custom, brittle integration for each external tool or data source. This approach simply doesn’t scale. How can we give an AI access to our sales leads, code repositories, or IoT devices in a standardized, secure, and reusable way? This session introduces Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open-source framework designed to solve this challenge and become the universal connector—the USB-C port—for AI. MCP standardizes how AI models discover and use external tools, moving beyond simple function-calling to a robust, client-server architecture. We will dive into how this open protocol is creating a new ecosystem for building powerful, context-aware AI agents. Join this session for a developer-focused introduction where you will learn how to: Understand the core concepts of the open-source Model Context Protocol and its architecture. Utilize pre-built, open-source MCP servers to instantly connect AI to tools like Git, Slack, and databases. Build a custom MCP server to securely expose your own proprietary data and APIs as tools for any compliant AI. Move beyond bespoke integrations and contribute to a standardized, collaborative, and open ecosystem. Stop building one-off connectors and start building intelligent agents. This session will give you the practical knowledge to leverage MCP and create the next generation of AI that doesn’t just talk, but does. For this event, we’ll help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents, wash dishes and clean surfaces at Fath Mission – Grant Kitchen. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. Our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With very few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. THANK YOU: This CMG Gives Back event provides an opportunity for YOU to get involved in helping others! Benefits go well beyond the help we give to others. Volunteering provides a wide range of personal benefits, including positive effects on mental and physical health, reduced stress/depression/anxiety, increased happiness and improved purpose, life-satisfaction and personal well-being! Plus, the opportunity to get involved, connect with others and help those in need. PARTNER AGENCY: This event is hosted by Lutheran Social Services (LSS), which serves thousands of people in need each day in 27 Ohio counties by addressing the four core societal issues of food, shelter, safety and healing. LSS offers food through the LSS Food Pantries, housing and supportive services through LSS Faith Mission and LSS Faith Mission of Fairfield County homeless shelters, domestic violence services through LSS CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence, senior living and health care, affordable housing communities, and other services that uplift families and strengthen communities. CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
I love my job and one of the main things I do is help customers get going with any of the data technologies at Microsoft. Right now there are a lot of my customers asking about Microsoft Fabric. It's hard to weave across all the shiny new options across the Fabric landscape, let alone figure out where it fits into your organization. In this session we'll focus on answering one question - how can I get data into Fabric? We'll talk through the "it depends" options and see some of the options in live demos.
Il Sorpasso (The Easy Life)
Il Sorpasso (The Easy Life)
A classic Italian road comedy that was so good the film ministry recognized it as "culturally significant." Starring Vittorio Gassman and Jean-Louis Trintignant, the film shows that for young men in love the rules of the road are only suggestions. And the rules for love? Hey, this is an Italian picture! Oh to be young and filled with joie de vivre or la dolce vita. A french/italian fun filled movie with a surprising twist at the end. Do you have a fun memory from your youth? Location TBD, but it will be in person for sure!
