Weekly Saturday group ride, starting at Handy Bikes Retail Showroom. Come ride with locals in the area! This group ride is for average folks who want to go for an average ride. It's not quite a coffee ride, but it's definitely not a race! Routes will vary around the area, with an average speed around 14 mph (minimum of \~10 MPH) for around 15-30 miles. We'll be on pavement so bikes with smooth tires are encouraged, **helmets are mandatory**. Open to any riders who are willing and able to ride with a group including Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bikes. Come browse thru our overstock inventory! We will have refurbished bikes for sale, including hybrids, mountain bikes, beach cruisers, kids bikes, vintage road bikes and a special tandem bike. We also have gentle-used bicycle parts and accessories such as training wheels, car racks, hitch racks, bike locks, trainers, wheels, rims, frames, bike clothing and other gear. You never know what you can find! We have as-is bikes that need some work or a tune-up that are not quite ready for riding. But perfect if you want a project to work on! Come find out what we do as a local community bike shop and how you can volunteer with us. All proceeds will benefit future RBH programming, including the TERRIFIC Kids bicycle award program in partnership with the City of Rockville, and the purchase of parts, tools and kids helmets. These rides are generally based off the Arlington Loop where we will visit different area coffee shops or bakeries for a cup and/or treat if desired. There are more streets and hills than our usual rides, but we try to use as much of the trails as possible. Similar to our "Beginner Ride", a casual, on-road-avoiding, cycle-path-winding, beginner friendly, group ride. The ride will be led by Maya and Angie, who have a combined 50 years of cycling experience. This is a no drop ride with an average speed of 7- 12 mph. Please bring a helmet, lights, a snack, hydration and wear appropriate clothing for cooler weather (cotton is not your friend in cooler temps and we will be riding in the dark). The ride can be tailored to the skills that attendees want to master, i.e- drinking from water bottle while riding, making tight turns, riding in a small group and cycling etiquette. We will be riding mainly on trails, streets as minimally as possible, and sidewalks only when necessary. This ride is perfect for someone who hasn't ridden in a while and wants to get some easy miles on the saddle; not just for newbies. If you have not ridden your bike in several weeks, months or years, please have a safety check done before the day of the ride. We are just here to have fun.

Please read for the safety of those participating on this ride and on the trails, we will not be doing this ride if it is raining or if the trails and bridges are slippery due to previous rain. **Meetup time is 9:30am and the Pre-ride briefing is at 9:45am, and the roll out time will be 10:00am. Be sure to check in when you arrive.** Join **"Vintage Steel Cyclists"** for an (Easy Like Sunday Morning Ride) for a partial Trail and Street ride from Hains Point out to Old Town Takoma Park and back. This is a no drop ride, at a social party pace average between 12 to 15 mph on flats, and it will be slower on hills, and we'll wait and regroup at the top of all hills. We'll make sure no one is left behind. You must have a steel bike to participate in this ride. Join us as The Washington Area Roadskaters lead you on a different adventure every week, skating through and around our Nation's Capital! Freedom Plaza is currently closed for construction, so we are shifting the starting line. We will meet at the corner of E St and 14th Street NW, right outside the WWI Pershing Memorial, across from the Willard Hotel. If that area is covered with snow, skate down 14th street one block and meet in front of the Wilson Building (south of Freedom Plaza, across Pennsylvania Ave. This Sunday Big Mike will lead us on a great intermediate 14+ miles skate! Join us for a 14-mile urban excursion through DC and Northern Virginia. We’ll start by crossing the Arlington Memorial Bridge, heading south through the heart of Crystal City. The route stays on the pavement as we navigate the streetscapes of Alexandria and the Del Ray neighborhood before making our return trip back to the District. It’s a solid, straightforward loop with plenty of local flavor. The Route: A 14.3-mile street-skate featuring a mix of long straights and neighborhood turns. The Bridge: Iconic views as we cross the Potomac via Memorial Bridge. Secret Adventure: I’m aiming to scout a "secret adventure" along the way—no promises, but keep your eyes open. This will be a run or walk at your own pace on the Capital Crescent Trail. Since it's out-and-back you won't have to worry about getting lost! **Terrain:** This is a paved trail and will probably be a busy so watch out for bikers. **What to wear/bring**: comfortable clothes & walking shoes, sunscreen and water. **Where to meet:** In front of Chopt Creative Salad (near trailhead) Here's the description on https://www.cctrail.org/access: "To find the CCT toward Georgetown, go to the Bethesda Ave./Woodmont Ave. intersection and look for the Ourisman Honda dealership west of the intersection and on the south side of Bethesda Avenue. We meet on Sundays at 8 a.m. for training runs on some of DC's best trails, including Rock Creek Park and the surrounding area. We typically meet at either Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park, or Roosevelt Island, depending on the route.
