Neurodiverse Minds & Matters (ADHD/Autism +)
Neurodiverse Minds & Matters (ADHD/Autism +)
**What to expect** An evening for neurodiverse adults (18+) to come together, share experiences, and make new friends. The evening will be semi-structured, running from 7pm to 9pm. Once everyone has arrived we will do a quick icebreaker activity to get to know each other. Next, participants will be split up into small discussion groups of 4 or 5 people spread out around the space. Everyone will get a conversation card with a thought-provoking question related to their neurodivergent experience. For example, ‘What is one example of some life advice that has really helped you?’, ‘In what contexts do you feel like you can be your neurodivergent self fully without having to mask?’, and ‘what similarities and differences do you see between yourself and other neurodivergent people?’ These questions are meant to start a conversation, but you are free to let the discussion evolve naturally in any direction! After 20-30 minutes you’ll be allocated to a different discussion group with entirely new people and new conversation starters. The remaining portion of the evening will allow you to mill around the room to talk to anyone you wish about anything you wish to talk about. You can also play a board game if you like. We have the space until 21:30. **For Who?** Neurodiverse adults (18+) A formal diagnosis is not necessary. This event is open to anyone who can relate to the difficulties and experiences of being neurodivergent, or is trying to figure things out. Neurodivergence includes but is not limited to autism, ADHD, HS, OCD, BPD etc. **When?** First and third Fridays of the month, with the exception of school and normal holidays. See Meetup for the exact dates and any updates/changes to each event. There will be free water, tea and coffee at the International House, as well as soft drinks at the honesty bar where everything is 2€ (Exact change or card)
Intervals Workout Session 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻 Bois de la Cambre
Intervals Workout Session 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻 Bois de la Cambre
We do cycles of 4-6 weeks, with a progressive intensity, and the last session is lighter. Program: 15’ warm up **To be defined** Cool down to get back to the starting point… or more S=All out sprint RF = Run fast, at MAS (Maximum aerobic speed) CF = Run comfortably fast (1h threshold) J = Jog, recuperation Notes: It should take about one hour in total, as the cool down will end when we reach back to the meeting point. It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the program, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle. For the "run" part, you can follow your own pace and we'll be regrouping in the "jog" part. Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. To have an idea, the average pace at the warm up is around 5'45"/km-6'/km so this pace should feel very comfortable ***Acknowledgement of member responsibility and release of liability.*** By signing up for this event, you agree to release the organizers from any responsibility and liability in all claims. As the participation is strictly voluntary and you freely choose to join, it is the responsibility of individuals participating to ensure that they are fit enough and have adequate coverage to protect themselves.
Small Joys, Long Visual Stories — A Moving Panorama Workshop
Small Joys, Long Visual Stories — A Moving Panorama Workshop
**Small Joys, Long Visual Stories — A Moving Panorama Workshop** On the United Nations International Day of Happiness, the Brussels Creativity Lab invites you to slow down and take a closer look at joy. In this workshop we’ll explore happiness not as a grand finale, but as something quietly unfolding over time. Together, we’ll work with the moving panorama — an early storytelling art form and ancestor of cinema — to tell stories that stretch small moments into long visual journeys. A moving panorama is a hand-cranked storytelling device: a long illustrated scroll wound onto two spools and viewed through a small window as it slowly unrolls. In this workshop, you’ll be guided to create a short story, visualise it on a long piece of paper, and construct a simple cardboard viewing box to bring it to life. Our focus will be on small joys, long stories: Stories built from tiny pleasures: a shared laugh, light through a window, a familiar route through the city. By drawing these moments out across the length of the scroll, the panorama becomes a way to slow happiness down so it can be noticed. Expect a hands-on, playful session where experimentation is encouraged and artistic skill is not a prerequisite. You’ll meet others, exchange ideas, and discover how storytelling, rhythm, and movement can reveal joy hiding in plain sight. Come curious, leave with a story — and maybe a new way of noticing happiness as it gently unfolds. All materials will be provided. **Ticket: €5 in cash at the door.** Ticket covers cost of materials and some snacks. **To help our lovely hosts at Unity Bookshop continue supporting community events like this, a small donation on the day would be greatly appreciated.** **::::Agenda::::** \- 18:00 Arrival & Welcome \- 18:30 Start of session

Football match at Parc du Cinquantenaire
Football match at Parc du Cinquantenaire
If you have a ball, please bring it... Let's gather at the Parc du Cinquantenaire close to the Tour de Tournai (https://goo.gl/maps/RsxFtTJydq92) and organize a *low-level* football match on the grass. Unless it rains badly as we're about to play, the game is on. Players of any age, weight, sex and size are allowed. Come as you are, at any time after 4pm. IMPORTANT REMINDER -- As Shitty Players, we don't bite or growl when someone misses the ball. We don't do penalties or yellow cards because we're so gentle we don't need them. We vaguely know of the existence of other rules like off-side but we'd rather ignore them than argue about them. We may or may not keep track of the score: this is a game where everyone wins. To help build the Team, come with 2 t-shirts white and black (or similar colors: light grey and dark blue etc). Beer session will follow on the grass, for those who survive till the end. Saturday Morning Coffee - 10:00 @MIR Concept Coffee Store
Hi everyone, This coffee morning event is @MIR Concept Coffee Store! Saturday, 21 March 2026, from 10:00 - 13:00. MIR opened its doors about 4 years ago, right off Place Jourdan. Doriana, the owner, is a super nice host, and is excited to have our group as her café. The café is very beautiful and has great coffee, and many yummy food options. Their Instagram channel: https://www.instagram.com/mirconceptstore/ **The address is:** MIR Concept Coffee Store Rue Gray 4A 1040 Etterbeek *** 1. The **prime time** of the event is **10:30 - 12:30**. That's when most people will be there. 2. When you enter the gallery, it's either on the right-hand side or left-hand side of its hallway, depending which entrance you take. 3. If you intend **to join past 12:00** (high noon), then there is no need to register. Just come and join! 4. **DON'T forget to cancel** if you can't join! 5. **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. (And after ;))** **As always, feel free to follow us on INSTAGRAM!** [https://instagram.com/weekendmorningcoffee?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==](https://instagram.com/weekendmorningcoffee?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==) **THE STRUCTURE of THE EVENT:** * I will post the event on Saturday/Sunday evening for the following Saturday. * I send out a reminder to everyone on Friday. * There is sometimes a waiting list. * In case RSVP is closed (once there are 10-15 people on the waiting list), I might reopen it on Friday, depending on the number of cancellations in the meantime. * **For everyone on the waiting,** please check your status and messages on Friday evening the latest. I message everyone on the waiting list on Friday. * **Please, move to "not going" AS SOON AS you know that you can't come anymore, that includes everyone who is on the waiting list.** **IMPORTANT:** * **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. (And after ;))** * When you register yourself, be careful not to register accidentally a +1 guest (unless you bring a guest). It happens very often. * If you have any questions then, message me. *** **A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:** *In the three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.* *Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.* *I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.* *In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.* **THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON Saturday!**

Kevin Rhodus from Lucy Deep Park Northside is coming to talk to us about his extensive neighborhood Christmas light display that is open in November and December every year north of Dublin. 9 houses over 12 acres and over 120,000 individual controlled lights that sync to music which you can tune into on your radio! Quite impressive! https://ldplights.com/ We'll dive into the tech that runs the show -- should be a blast to hear about this very elaborate display! While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Dublin Library in the Meeting Room 2

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 **Abstract** Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively. This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way. **YouTube Link** TBA
