We gather every Saturday at 16h for our weekly collective meditation practice. Our sessions are based on Rajadhiraja Yoga, a holistic system that integrates the classical eight-limbed (Ashtanga) yoga, Tantra, a structured series of meditation lessons, and a deep spiritual and social philosophy. The meditations are held as part of the Meditation Steps project — a non-profit initiative that aims to make meditation and yoga accessible to everyone and inspire positive change in society. ​Our facilitator Michael, has been practicing meditation for five years and guides sessions that blend dynamic and silent meditation. His approach combines movement, breath, and stillness to create a modern, grounding experience that helps people reconnect with clarity and calm. ​These sessions are in ENGLISH. ​Donation based. This gentle, nature-based mindfulness walk is an invitation to slow down, listen to birdsong instead of notifications, and reconnect with yourself through simple presence. This is an invitation to step out of the rush of everyday life and reconnect with your body, your senses, and the natural world around you. Just walking, listening, and being here. **What we’ll do ✨** * We begin with a short, gentle grounding practice. * We walk at a slow, mindful pace (intentionally slower than a usual walk). * We use birdsong and natural sounds as anchors for awareness. * We pause at times to listen, sense, or simply be still. * We close with a few moments of shared stillness. **A note on birds 🐦** * This is not a birdwatching walk, though we use birdsong as a meditation anchor. * If you’re curious, I’m always happy to chat after the walk about birds we noticed by sight or sound. We hold a monthly gathering for amateur birdwatching. **Language 🗣** * Guided talks and meditations are currently offered in English. * I’m learning Spanish and Catalan and hope to offer guided practices in those languages in the future. **Group size 👥** * We began with very small, intimate groups due to individual Reiki sessions. As interest has grown, more spots are opening and the structure is kept simple so we can walk together more spaciously. * Returning walkers may occasionally join beyond the usual number, as they are already familiar with the pace and nature of the practice. 💛 If you’ve joined before and would like to come again, please join the waitlist or message me directly. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 1:30 - 2:00, followed by dancing 2:00 - 430. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. In this local event we will be discussing the reasons why these past bad experiences have the power to affect you long after they occurred. We'll go over why the emotional pain can be so strong. We'll also discuss some simple solutions to overcome your emotional pain and be free to fully enjoy your life again.
