Hey! This is our first event. So yeah the idea is to meet up make some art and have a good time! It doesnt really matter what medium you choose or how good you think you are. The point is to be encouraged to take some time out of the week to make art, for whatever reason you do it for. Im not associated to the restaurant Elixer by the way, its just my favorite one so I thought about doing it there. I think its a quirky and happy place. The address is Batjanstraat 1a. The group walk is at a slow pace so you can connect with others, while enjoying the scenery of the city and taking photos along the way. In case of bad weather: bring an umbrella! After about 75 minutes, free time starts: we’ll check in if people like to continue our group walk or if there are other ideas to do in the city. For instance going to a museum, a café, do photography or anything else. If we continue our walk it will be at the same pace, we’ll go to new areas and if there’s enough interest we’ll go for a coffee in between. At 17:00 we’ll stop hosting the event, but on this day the Sterrentocht is organized in Tilburg, starting at 17:00 @Willemsplein. **Details:** Hi everyone! This is the first ever Decoden workshop experience in Amsterdam! Decoden is a Japanese art form where you decorate objects with fake cream and cute gems and charms. Decoden is a short form of "Decorate DenWa" which means decorate mobile phone. Typically phone cases are elaborately covered with a fake plastic whipped cream to look like real cake icing and then embellished with cute charms, gems and jewels and finished with colourful sprinkle and glitter. You can do decoden on any object you like and we will offer 4 options. **Date:** Workshops are on the Second Sunday of every month at 1:30pm. **Workshop Description:** The workshop takes about 2-3 hours depending on the item you want to decorate. All equipment, materials and instructions is included. The workshop will start with an introduction and then you will select your charms and coloured creams. We will instruct you on how to design and plan your decoration on paper first. You will then make you artworks and decorate it with charms. Once complete we will place your artwork in a box and you will then take it home to dry. Drying time usually take 2-3 days. The workshop is a fun and relaxing afternoon of hands on art and craft. It wil be a fun time of crafting, laughing and chatting with people in a nice environment with an excellent soundtrack. Please bring a carrying bag to take home your art work. I will ease us into a guided meditation progressively working from the base of our spine, our root chakra to your crown. Once we have completed the chakra wash we will sit for an additional 5-10 minutes. The full meditation will last between 25-35 minutes. Afterward, we will head over to the nearby, highly-rated, and popular Gemüt Biergarten for drinks and food. Columbus's art museum is not large, and we won't need to rush through in order to see everything. However, it's a little windy (with a long "i") and maze-like in spots, and if you've never gone through it before, it can be a little confusing at first. **Tickets and Pricing** The Museum is free on Sundays. **Parking** The short answer here is that you can park for free (in the Safe Auto lot) when you visit the Museum on weekends. Once this upgrade is complete, though, the charge is likely to increase from $7 to $10. This upgrade is supposed to be done by the time we run this event, but given how these things work, I wouldn't be totally surprised if it's not complete by then. You'll know the lot is free if the gate arms to both the entrance and exit are fixed in a raised position when you arrive. Gemüt Biergarten has a free parking lot that isn't small but also isn't huge. Street parking, however, is always free across Columbus on [Sundays and holidays](https://www.columbus.gov/files/sharedassets/city/v/1/public-service/right-of-way-permit/on-street-parking-out-of-service-policy-and-procedure-final-8.15.2022-signed.pdf), so I think we'll be okay with parking. The bigger issue may be the weather. The brewery has a good-sized outdoor patio that is covered and heated in the winter. However, that doesn't mean this patio will be warm. The inside of the brewery is "okay-sized," but again, the brewery is popular and by the time we get there, we may have no choice but to sit outside. If it's cold, I can and will ask them to fire up some of their additional outdoor heaters, which I think should be enough, but please bring something to keep you warm just in case we end up outside. Finally, while food at the Biergarten can be a little overpriced, in my experience it is excellent, and you are likely to enjoy whatever you get. We should be there by 1:00 if you can't make the Museum and just want to meet us for drinks.

**Calling all queer crochet enthusiasts;** I am a visual artist located in Columbus that is searching for people who may want to gather while also participating in creating a piece of artwork.
