Not everyone wants their first Dinner Exchange experience to be walking into someone’s home full of strangers. So we’re starting easier - by meeting for a relaxed apéro at Vergani (Löwenplatz) on Friday, 20th March at 19:00. Nothing too structured, no pressure, just a relaxed chance to meet a few real people who enjoy cooking and then having people around their table at home. You’re welcome to join, especially if you’ve been curious about hosting but would rather get to know people first before inviting them to your home. We’ll keep it simple: Vergani serves great wines and nibbles that you will be able to order at the bar and then mingle with the future hosts. Dinner Exchange is a growing circle across Zürich and the surrounding region where people take turns hosting small dinners in their homes. This apéro is simply a low-pressure way to connect before the next tables fill up. Come for a drink. Stay as long as you like.

We will meet to discuss Dopamine Nation, where Anna Lembke explores how dopamine drives pleasure, motivation, and addiction , and how modern life constantly overstimulates our reward system. From social media and shopping to work and achievement, we live in a world designed to keep us hooked, often leaving us anxious, depleted, or dissatisfied. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily.
