On this guided tour with a difference, discover how to live life lucidly in the present moment, open to your senses, listen to yourself and start to be your own guide!
Using a walk through the streets of Barcelona as practice, I will guide you in a mindfulness meditation which will help you get out of your head, bringing attention to your senses and the felt sensations in the body, stepping into deeper awareness of yourself, making your experience of the city even more magical and vibrant.
We will begin our time together in the hidden oasis of carrer d’Allada Vermell, in the barrio of El Born, with an initial guided meditation. From this point of connection to yourself, anchored in the present, will we continue the practice walking through El Born with its winding streets and surprises around every corner.
On our magical tour of sensorial delights, lasting approximately 2 hours, we will take in such places as the Palau de la Musica, Casa Perris, Funky Baker, Santa Maria del Mar and Santa Caterina Market, ending up at a nearby square for a chat about your experience.

We will break down from where the movements come from, because yes, there is a technical part so that you get the right tools to start, know the muscles you need to use to make it simplier than it seems.
You will see that oriental dance is much more than hip movements, you will also learn torso movements, graceful arms and hands etc It can be energizing , flowing, sensual, flirty, fun and much more!
Long story short, as a byproduct you will gain elegance and sensuality in all your moves and expressive body language.
You just have to come with comfortable wear for dancing, a scarf for your hips (whatever scarf will do, I will bring some decorated ones too so you can try)

Meditation Space is a weekly gathering devoted to collective practice, learning, and shared presence.
Every Tuesday evening, we come together to slow down, sit in silence, explore different meditation techniques, and create a space of conscious community.
Each session introduces and guides a specific meditation approach from breath awareness to body-based practices, loving-kindness, visualization, sound, or mindful inquiry. The intention is to make meditation accessible, practical, and grounded.
This is not about doing it perfectly.
It is about practicing together.
A safe and welcoming space where everyone is invited beginners and experienced practitioners alike to sit, learn, and share.

You’re invited to receive a **gentle, individual Reiki session** held outdoors in a calm, natural setting in Montjuïc.
These sessions are offered as a quiet, supportive space to rest, reset, and reconnect — held slowly, with care, clarity, and consent.

Each session lasts **30 minutes** and includes:
* **10 minutes** of brief conversation and a short grounding meditation
* **20 minutes** of hands-on Reiki (placing my hands on you, always with consent)
* A calm, held space — no pressure to talk or “experience” anything in a certain way
The session takes place **outdoors**, either **sitting or lying down on a mat**, surrounded by nature.

Reiki, as offered here, is based on **Usui Reiki Ryōhō**, the traditional Japanese system founded by Mikao Usui.
It is a gentle, hands-on practice that supports relaxation, grounding, and nervous system regulation. Rather than trying to fix or change anything, Reiki offers conditions for the body and mind to rest and rebalance naturally.
Sessions are held as a **contemplative practice**, with emphasis on presence, listening, and consent.
People experience Reiki in different ways. This may include:
* Deep relaxation
* A sense of calm or warmth
* Emotional settling
* Or simply the experience of resting
There’s nothing you need to believe, visualise, or achieve — you can simply rest and receive.

I welcome you to a warm, meditative space where you can relax and your mind can breathe, using art as a vehicle for this journey. We will focus on the artist that is already inside of you, using this space not to critique or judge but to create, play, and cultivate. Feel free to bring your own supplies if you want, but it is not necessary. Materials will be provided, including acrylic paints, paintbrushes, pencils, paper, and towels.

A nivel global, la soledad no es exclusivamente masculina en frecuencia, pero sí en su manifestación dentro del ámbito de las citas.
* **Sentimiento de Soledad:** El **16% de los hombres** y el **15% de las mujeres** reportan sentirse solos o aislados "todo o la mayor parte del tiempo". La diferencia estadística es mínima.

Using Philosophy to Cope with Current Events
So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels. Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
