Product Pints: April drinks š»
Spring is properly kicking in, and for our April meetup, weāre heading back to a crowd favorite: **The Light Bar** near Liverpool Street.
If you haven't joined us here before, the venue is set inside a beautifully restored Victorian power station from 1893. Itās got a brilliant atmosphere, great drinks, and plenty of space to spread out. With the evenings finally getting a bit lighter, it's the perfect backdrop for catching up with everyone.
**āWhat is Product Pints, anyway?**
āIt's simple: Forget the stuffy presentations, Product Pints is all about meaningful connections and stimulating conversations for product people.
Our diverse crowd includes everyone from aspiring PMs to seasoned CPOs, entrepreneurs, developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts.
āNeed advice on a tricky problem? Curious what other PMs are building? Or just want to share a beer with your peers? This is the perfect opportunity to grow your network and launch some genuinely great chats!
**āP.S. If your company is interested in sponsoring future events in 2026, please reach out to us at hello@productpints.com - thanks!**
Vibe Coding Collective | Every Batman Needs an AI Agent
**Details š**
April 28 is Superhero Day. And no superhero leaves home without their Robin. This year, we're calling it an AI Agent. Join us for an exploration of AI agents: how they work, what they can actually *do*, and the workflows you never knew you needed them for!
We'll be diving deeper than usual, hands-on with **Notion's** agent capabilities. Led by **[Liberatus](https://www.linkedin.com/in/liberatus/)** (ex-Amazon, recent Notion Hackathon winner), we'll discover the agentic way of building.
**Complexity Level: āā (2/3 stars)**
This one's a step up from our regular events. You'll get the most out of it if you've already played with prompting or understand how AI tools work. Coding skills aren't mandatory, but comfort with experimentation is!
**Format š ļø**
Small groups (2ā3 people) tackle open-ended challenges using Notion agents. The goal: learn how agents think differently, build something you didn't think was possible, and vibe with people who get it.
Our friends from QuantSpark happily provided us with their space and will treat us with some snacks and refreshments š¾
**New to agents?** No worries! Liberatus kicks us off with a guide to agent fundamentals and example use cases so you can jump in without overthinking it.
***
**Schedule š**
(Doors open earlyāaim for 6:50 PM so we start on time)
* 6:00 ā Presentation: Agent fundamentals from Liberatus
* 6:15 ā Challenge assignment + team formation š¤
* 6:15 ā Round 1: Build together š»
* 7:00 ā Break (grab a drink, swap ideas, compare what your agents are doing) šŗ
* 7:20 ā Round 2: Keep building šļø
* 7:50 ā Optional demos šŗ
* 8:10 ā Hang out, network, make friends āļø
***
**Who is it for?**
Anyone curious about what AI agents actually do. Folks who've tinkered with prompting, designers thinking about automation, people building with Notion, or anyone who wants to see where agent-powered workflows can go.

š No pressure, no gatekeeping. Just people exploring what agents can do, together.
Hablando espaƱol en Wimbledon - Beginners welcome, absolutely free
Whether you are an absolute beginner or someone wanting to improve their Spanish the last Tuesday of the month meetup could be just right for you.
This event is run by a native Spanish speaker and myself who is on the journey to improving my Spanish.
We are a very friendly bunch, some of who meet regularly on Mondays too but at a more conversational higher level.
There is no agenda, just an opportunity to talk to likeminded speakers at the same level in Spanish.
Please RSVP if you'd like to give this a try.
Gracias
Abhijit - Event Organiser.
Feedback session in New Cross (message GRAIG for location.)
*Please ensure that you have READ THE SUBMISSIONS before attending the session. Contact Graig in advance for the submissions document and the exact location in NEW CROSS.*
This session will focus on FEEDBACK for members' writing.
We ask that people attend two meetings before submitting their own work.
Read, read, read- and be ready to give thoughtful and detailed feedback at our meeting!
We aim to finish at 10 each session, but several of us will often continue to socialise with a drink or two.
Debate: THW Halt AI Development
**Should we halt AI development?**
**As written by AI**
Supporters of halting AI development argue that we are recklessly building systems we barely understand, let alone control. They claim Big Tech is effectively running a live experiment on society, gambling with jobs, truth, and even human autonomy, so hitting pause is not caution, but common sense.
Opponents fire back that calls to halt AI are alarmist and short-sighted, risking economic stagnation and surrendering global leadership to less cautious nations. They argue that stopping progress wonāt stop the technology; it will simply drive it underground or abroad, making the risks even harder to control.
**Where do you stand on this debate?**
**YOU decide!**
Join us on **28 April 2026** at the Windsor Castle pub for drinks and discussion as we debate the motion: **This House Would Halt AI Development**
**First half**: Improvised mini-debates ā all are welcome to speak.
**Second half**: Prepared speeches, followed by floor contributions ā an opportunity to share your views.
**[GET YOUR GUEST TICKET HERE](https://104londondebaters.club/)**
During the first half of the meeting, there will be an improvised mini-debate session, where anyone may get called to defend or oppose a motion in 2 minutes (voluntarily, of course).
During the main debate, 3 debaters will propose the motion, 3 debaters will oppose it, and **YOU** may give your opinion during Floor Contributions.
The meeting will be held on the first floor of[ the Windsor Castle pub](https://windsorcastle-victoria.co.uk/) in Victoria, a beautiful Victorian pub with great food, drinks prices. Make sure to give the code word: *Debate Club*!
Agents in Production: The Memory Problem
Agent memory is a mess.
Most teams are stitching together a vector store, a graph database, and some middleware - three systems to manage, three potential failure points, and no guarantees that any of it stays consistent. It works until it doesn't.
In this meetup, we're looking at what it actually takes to solve this properly. Not a quick fix, not another abstraction layer - memory that's transactional, structured, and built into the database itself.
We'll look show what that looks like in practice with Spectron, SurrealDB's brand new agent memory system. We'll also walk through a full-stack knowledge graph RAG system - end-to-end, real code, real trade-offs - plus a guest talk from LangChain.
Hard questions welcome. Drinks & pizza on us.

### The best startup ideas do not begin with a trend. They begin with a real problem.
In a world where AI has made it easier than ever to build software, more startups are launching faster, pitching better, and competing harder than ever before.
So what actually stands out now?
This Founders500 X Signal session is for founders, aspiring founders, engineers, data scientists and AI builders who want to understand how great ventures are really built today: by solving meaningful problems, validating real value, and understanding what investors now look for in an increasingly crowded market.
Led as a live conversation with **Nikolas Pyrgiotis**, this session will explore how the venture landscape is changing, how AI is reshaping startup expectations, and why domain expertise, market understanding and practical problem selection matter more than ever.
### What this session is
This is not a hype-filled āfuture of AIā talk.
This is not generic startup inspiration.
This is a practical session on:
* how investors assess startups in the current AI landscape
* how technical founders can identify worthwhile problems
* how stronger companies are being built with less capital
* what makes a startup genuinely fundable now
* where real-world industries still present major opportunities for innovation
### What weāll cover
#### 1) What VCs are really looking for now
AI has lowered the barrier to building software, but it has also raised the bar for differentiation.
Weāll discuss:
* how investor expectations are changing
* what now matters beyond a polished pitch deck
* why sector expertise and founder credibility are becoming more important
* how startups should prepare for fundraising conversations today
#### 2) How AI is changing startup building
It is now easier to launch, prototype and ship than ever before.
But that creates new questions:
* what does capital-efficient startup building look like now?
* should founders raise earlier or later?
* how is the path from seed to scale changing?
* what does stronger competition mean for builders and investors alike?
#### 3) Why the best startups start with the right problem
One of the biggest themes of the evening will be problem selection.
Weāll explore:
* why great startups do not start with a solution
* how to identify a problem worth solving
* how to think about market size, value creation and customer need
* how founders can validate whether an opportunity is commercially meaningful
#### 4) Real-world opportunities for technical founders
For engineers, AI builders and data scientists, some of the most exciting opportunities are no longer just in consumer apps or SaaS.
This session will also touch on:
* how technology is transforming established industries
* why sectors like logistics, supply chain and maritime are becoming more attractive to startup talent
* what technical founders can learn from industries rich in operational complexity and data
* where applied AI can create real defensibility and value
### Why attend
Attend this session if you want to:
* understand what makes a startup stand out in the AI era
* hear directly how an investor evaluates founders, markets and opportunities
* sharpen your thinking around fundraising and venture readiness
* learn how to move from technical capability to commercial opportunity
* discover how real-world sectors can create space for ambitious startups
* join a room full of founders, future founders and technical builders
### About the speaker
**Nikolas Pyrgiotis** leads ventures and investments at Signal, where he focuses on opportunities across logistics and supply chain.
His background spans engineering, applied mathematics, company building and venture creation ā from a PhD rooted in practical optimisation, to co-founding in aviation, to strategy and venture work, to investing in startups solving real-world industry problems.
This makes him uniquely placed to speak to both sides of the room: founders looking to build fundable companies, and technical builders looking for meaningful problems worth solving.
### Evening schedule
**6:15pm ā Doors Open + Free Drinks**
**6:45pm ā Session Begins**
**6:45ā8:00pm ā Interview**
**8:00ā8:30pm ā Key Takeaways + Q&A**
**8:30 pm onwards ā Optional Networking**

A special event to share the creative practice of writing thought experiments.
**In a nutshell, writing thought experiments creates opportunities to:**
* investigate ideas (old and new)
* work your imagination
* write creatively and playfully
* produce compelling conversation starters that you can share with friends and strangers to provoke great discussions
Over the past 3 years, I've written over 200 thought experiments and learned a lot along the way. [Here's a bit more about why I enjoy the practice.](https://experimentsingroupwisdom.substack.com/p/writing-thought-experiments)
**In this workshop,** I'll share my process and together we'll create new thought experiments by:
* Identifying areas of interest
* Gathering ingredients for thought experiments
* Imagining scenarios
* Constructing narratives
* Generating relevant, thought provoking questions
* Participating in a round of small group discussions - you can volunteer your new thought experiment, or if you'd rather, you can pick one out of the hat.
**By the end of the evening** **we'll have**
* had some thought provoking conversations
* become familiar with a new method for creative thinking
* written our own original material for future group discussions :-)
Although weāll be learning a new technique we'll also be aiming to have **an enjoyable evening, with good humour and fun**. This will be less like school and more like a fun TEiP night out with an additional creative twist.
**Who should come:**
Everyone! We believe that the more perspectives, the richer the conversation. This group is not about being experts, it is about thinking creatively together and learning new ways to develop and communicate ideas.
**Tickets**
Space is limited to 15-20 people and tickets are £15.
I'd like to make this event accessible, so if cost is a barrier, please send me a DM.
**Where we'll meet:**
The Fitzroy Tavern in Fitzrovia. The nearest Tube stations are Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road. We'll be upstairs in the Private Dining Room.
Looking forward to meeting & talking with you!

CREATIVE COMMUNITY BUILDING: IRL SOCIAL ⢠Theme: AUTHENTICITY
**Formerly 'THE HEARTH', this event has evolved... (you can read the story and rationale [here](https://experimentsingroupwisdom.substack.com/p/creative-community-building))**
CREATIVE COMMUNITY BUILDING is
**A community for people interested in building community š**
**HOW IT WORKS:**
The IRL SOCIAL is a place to meet and exchange ideas with fellow community builders in person.
(The other dimension to CREATIVE COMMUNITY BUILDING is a weekly online āVIRTUAL CAFEā, which is more focussed on workshopping ideas, challenges, and practices. You can find the first VIRTUAL CAFE [here](https://www.meetup.com/experimentsin/events/314425588).)
The IRL SOCIAL is largely unstructured, but we will always have a theme or a prompt to get conversations going. **This time the theme is: AUTHENTICITY.**
I will share a few related questions in the comments on the day.
My working model of community building includes 4 stages: STARTING, BUILDING, SUSTAINING, and EVOLVING. (These are not linear, but cyclical because when your community reaches the āevolvingā stage, it's also āstartingā a new chapter.)
Based on feedback from previous sessions, people sometimes find it useful to talk to others who are at the same stage as them, so I will give everyone the opportunity to organise in this way initially. (This is optional.)
I will invite the group to shuffle around a couple of times so we donāt miss out on meeting a range of people. The rest of the evening will be unstructured space to:
* Continue conversations
* Discuss collaborations
* Share tips
* Get to know each other
* Get to know about each othersā respective communities
**NOTES ON THE GENERAL ATMOSPHERE:**
* Laid back, light, fun
* Respectful of each other's time, views, ideas
* Generous listening and low pressure sharing
**WHERE WE'LL MEET:**
Due to unpredictable group sizes with free events, Iām going to start off with holding these socials in public spaces rather than booked rooms. This can comes with **an element of unpredictable London chaos (i.e. background noise, weather, etc.), so please be up for that if you decide to come along.**
On this occasion, the plan is for us to meet at The Southbank Centre on Level 2, near the Festival Bar & Kitchen. If the weather is good, we might relocate outside. **I will let you know the exact location in the comments below on the day.**
**WHO SHOULD COME:**
Everyone with an interest in community. This group is not about being experts, it is about learning together. That is, bringing our various experiences and lenses on the world together to support, inspire, and uplift one another. The more perspectives, the richer the conversation.
**YOUR HOST:**
I'm Bonny. I've created a couple of successful communities (e.g. [THOUGHT EXPERIMENTS IN PUBS](https://www.meetup.com/thought-experiments-in-pubs) & [THE SUNRISE CLUB](https://www.meetup.com/the-sunrise-club/)) and have a lot of experience hosting groups in a range of places (from prison and hospitals, to private events). I'm always learning and my best ideas come out of conversations with others :-). You can read some of my thoughts on community building [here.](https://experimentsingroupwisdom.substack.com/)
**One of my inspirations for community building is the Ancient Greek Goddess, Hestia:**
Hestia is the goddess of the hearth (hence the former name for this group). She is also the goddess of community, hospitality towards strangers, home, and warmth. Known for her inner strength, calm demeanour, and commitment to peace, I think Hestia embodies qualities that can be very helpful when cultivating community! š„ **Iām curious to hear who/what your influences are š**

07:30 - 08:30 Networking & Closing
**Talk by Gessica Puglielli: Empowering Design Teams**
Traditional sign-off processes can slow down creativity and decision-making in design teams. In this keynote, Iāll share my experience leading MPBās design team through a transformation, where we moved from top-down approvals to a culture of accountability and trust. This shift not only boosted team morale but also enhanced creativity and sped up the design process. Attendees will walk away with actionable strategies for empowering their teams, fostering trust, and overcoming the challenges that come with reducing micromanagement. Itās time to empower your team to thrive without sign-offs.
**Interactive Forum: From Sign Offs to Shared Accountability:**
This interactive forum turns the keynote into a working session. Together, we will unpack what it really takes to replace sign offs with clear ownership, fast decisions, and high quality outcomes. We will explore the practical building blocks: defining decision rights, setting quality bars, running lightweight critique, and handling risk without reverting to approvals. Bring your real scenarios, blockers, and edge cases. You will leave with a set of patterns you can apply straight away, plus a few phrases and templates for aligning stakeholders and keeping momentum when trust is still being earned.

Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to āpin the blameā on someone or something. If you donāt find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, donāt know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe youāve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
⢠How to āeraseā the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isnāt always repeating past mistakes.
⢠Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
⢠Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
⢠Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
⢠Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
⢠What underlies ācorrosive criticismā or the need to invalidate self or others?
⢠How one can stably change oneās outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
⢠Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
⢠How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
⢠How to enhance oneās own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or oneās career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are āstoredā and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can āeraseā those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become ātoxicā personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you wonāt be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
Duty vs. Results: What Makes an Action Moral?
When judging morality, should we prioritize **intentions/duty** or **outcomes/results**? It introduces two influential philosophers as representatives of these approaches.
* **Immanuel Kant (deontology):** An action is moral when it is done from **duty** and follows rational, universal principles (the **categorical imperative**). Certain actsālike lyingāare wrong regardless of the consequences; you canāt do a wrong thing for a right reason.
* **John Stuart Mill (utilitarian consequentialism):** The morality of an action is determined by its **effects**, specifically how much **happiness/well-being** it produces. Mill argues that some pleasures are āhigherā than others, and that good intentions donāt redeem harmful outcomes.
## Discussion Questions
1. **The lying dilemma:** A murderer comes to your door and asks if your friend is hiding inside. Kant would say you must not lie.
2. **Can good intentions rescue a bad outcome?**
3. **The organ harvest problem:** A surgeon has five patients dying of organ failure and one healthy patient in for a checkup. Killing the one to harvest organs would save five lives, and the math works out for the utilitarian. Why does this feel so deeply wrong? Is that feeling a point in Kant's favor, or just a bias we should overcome?
4. **Do rules need exceptions?** Kant insists moral rules must be universal, with no exceptions. But most of us can imagine extreme scenarios where any rule seems like it should bend. Does the need for exceptions fatally undermine deontology, or is the strength of the system precisely that it refuses to bend?
5. **Who gets to calculate the consequences?** Utilitarianism asks us to maximize good outcomes, but we're notoriously bad at predicting consequences. If we can't reliably know the results of our actions, is it practical to base our entire moral system on outcomes? Does this uncertainty push us back toward rules and principles?
6. **Everyday morality:** Think about a real moral decision you've made recently, even a small one. Did you reason more like a Kantian (what's the right thing to do in principle?) or more like a utilitarian (what will produce the best result?)? Do most people naturally lean one way?
7. **Justice vs. the greater good:** A town can prevent a deadly plague by sacrificing one innocent person. The greater good is clearly served. But is it just? Can an action be morally right and deeply unjust at the same time?
8. **The big synthesis question:** Are these two systems actually opposed, or do they often arrive at the same answers by different paths? Is it possible that we need both: rules to guide us in the moment and consequences to evaluate systems and policies over time?
