From Raw Data to Real Insight
From Raw Data to Real Insight
Join us for a meetup on April 21th together with **Elastic** and **Confluent**! Doors open at 17.45 and we share some pizzas and drinks before the presentations begin at 18.30. We wrap up around 20.45. **Address:** Nine A/S Office Kongens Nytorv 18 DK-1050 København K **Agenda:** 17.45: Doors open 18.00: Pizzas, drinks and networking 18.30: Securing data in motion the right way 19\.15: From Raw Data to Real Insight: Modern Dashboards and Data Exploration with ES\|QL in Kibana 20.30: Wrap up **Talks:** **Securing data in motion the right way** Data streaming is powering everything from fraud detection and real-time analytics to patient monitoring and order fulfillment. But as the role of streaming grows, so does the risk - because many streaming platforms, like Apache Kafka, aren't secure by default. In this talk, we’ll take a practical look at data streaming security through the lens of Kafka, one of the most widely adopted streaming platforms in the world. We'll walk through what can go wrong - real examples of exposing 14M patient-doctor messages, or years of real-time delivery info to the internet - and what it takes to do it right. We'll cover the key pillars of securing a streaming system: encryption in transit and at rest, access control, monitoring, and key management. Along the way, we’ll look at the trade-offs like disk encryption vs. end-to-end encryption, what is behind field-level and envelope encryption, and the realities of using customer-managed keys in regulated industries. We’ll also explore how monitoring extends beyond Kafka itself—into downstream systems like Elasticsearch—where logs, events, and even sensitive data are often indexed, creating both powerful detection capabilities and new security risks if left unprotected. If you're building, running, or scaling streaming systems, this talk will help you see the security blind spots and give you concrete steps to protect the data flowing through your pipelines. *Speaker: Olena Kutsenko, Developer Advocate, Confluent* **From Raw Data to Real Insight: Modern Dashboards and Data Exploration with ES\|QL in Kibana** Kibana has evolved from simple visualizations to a powerful exploration workspace where search, aggregation, and advanced analytics come together in one flow. In this session\, Ninoslav Miskovic\, Principal Product Manager for Discover\, walks through the latest capabilities in Kibana Dashboards and data exploration powered by ES\|QL\. We will cover how ES\|QL changes the way you explore data\, including joins\, advanced aggregations\, pattern analysis\, and faster iteration directly in the UI\. You will see how these capabilities surface in dashboards and how they enable more flexible\, analyst\-driven workflows across observability\, security\, and search use cases\. *Speakers: Mikkel Kidmose and Lasse Hoff Byrnak, Elastic*

GRPC from Zero, From Autopilot to Co-Pilot and how to use AI to ship faster
GRPC from Zero, From Autopilot to Co-Pilot and how to use AI to ship faster
Welcome to the next meetup of .NET Skåne! This time we have the pleasure of inviting you to Living IT at Gustav Adolfs torg in Malmö for yet another inspiring evening! This event is free to attend and there will be free drinks and food. We hope to see you there! **IMPORTANT:** If you have signed up to the event but can't make for some reason please cancel your spot in good time before the event so the spot is free for someone else to attend. **Agenda:** **GRPC - from zero to something** (Henrik Jönsson) Considering GRPC as an alternative to that HTTP API? We will have a look at the basics. When might it be a good idea, and what would that look like in .NET. Lets look at some code and get an idea of how to get started. **How TrackPaw use AI to ship good stuff faster** (Carl Johan Wetterqvist) I have been experimenting with incorporating AI in my deliveries since before ChatGPT was a thing — this is how we at TrackPaw use AI to help us ship good stuff fast today. **From Autopilot to Co-Pilot: Using Agent-Based Workflows to Transform AI-Assisted Software Development** (Oliwer Helsén) AI coding assistants are powerful, but left unchecked they tend to produce generic, context-free output. What if, instead of letting the AI do the thinking for you, you structured the collaboration using specialized agent personas and agile workflows that guide both human and AI through the entire software development lifecycle? This talk explores an open-source framework that does exactly that — introducing domain-expert agents such as Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, and Scrum Masters as AI-driven collaborators, each with structured workflows grounded in agile best practices. The framework adapts its planning depth based on project complexity, supports everything from quick bug fixes to full enterprise product planning, and even allows multiple agent perspectives to converge in a single session. We'll walk through the two main development paths — a lightweight flow for small, well-scoped tasks and a full planning path for complex products — and share practical lessons learned from applying agent-driven AI development in real-world SaaS projects. **About the speakers:** [Henrik Jönsson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/henrik-j%C3%B6nsson-06250317/) Henrik is a Consultant at The Tribe currently on assignment as a developer and tech lead. Having had many roles in the industry he still enjoys looking into and trying out new ideas and techniques. [Carl Johan Wetterqvist](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAEwFnUBM3IiS2kYuuYwKy18uxomM9Jf3M4) Calle is a software developer with a background spanning development and agile leadership. He is currently a fullstack developer at the startup TrackPaw, leveraging AI to ship good software faster. [Oliwer Helsén](https://se.linkedin.com/in/oliwerhelsen) Oliwer Helsén is a seasoned fullstack developer and consultant with many years of experience delivering high-quality software solutions across the entire stack. Known for his clear communication and collaborative mindset, he has a talent for making complex topics accessible to any audience. Driven by curiosity and a passion for innovation, Oliwer is a valuable addition to any team focused on real results. Oliwer works as a consultant at [Living IT](https://www.livingit.se/) **Host:** Our host of this evening is Living IT in Malmö. Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.
Tuesday Foodclub
Tuesday Foodclub
We are a group of people meeting on Tuesdays to socialize around cooking and eating together. Usually around 40-50 people. Many are international students, but also other people join. The foodclub exist independent of Meetup, we invite you because we have room for a few more people. The food is vegan and made from donated leftover veggies from a local greengrocery. The place has originally hosted leftwing activist groups, and many of the people joining are also involved in political groups. If you want to join for chopping and cooking, we will be doing that from 3 to 6 pm. It is possible to join part of the time. From 6:30 to 8pm we are serving food. Donation around 30 kroner. If you are helping out some hours, chopping, cooking or cleaning, you can eat for free. From 8 to 9 - 9:30 pm we are cleaning up the place. We hope to see you in our lovely foodclub <3
Coffee Talk
Coffee Talk
Fulfillment. Joy. – Do you know what it is? Do you feel it now? Many of us are living lives that have “just sort of happened”. We had a dream, a vision (maybe we still do) for what we wanted our lives to look like. Somewhere along the way, life took over and something else ended up happening. We made decisions, took a turn down a path, and now our life isn’t what we thought it would be. Or we’re living someone else’s life. Maybe it’s what our parent’s wanted for us. What we believe our partner or a potential partner might want. Or maybe it’s what we believe we need to do and have to be happy. I was one of these people. My life checked all the boxes for what I thought I needed in order to be happy. And still, I wasn’t. Join me for a coffee talk on what it means to live a Life By Design. Where your choices are deliberate and based on your authentic, true self. What you have to let go off to achieve this (hint: the notion that vulnerability is a weakness and feelings of fear and guilt) and who you will become in the process.

Reliable agent-driven development
Reliable agent-driven development
Two Topics on todays agenda: **Reliable agent-driven development** (Thomas Martinsen, Tech Evangelist @ Twoday, MS MVP & RD) Agent-driven development is not about letting tools write code for you. It is about shifting responsibility. We move from writing every line ourselves to defining intent, constraints, architecture, and security boundaries—while agents produce the first drafts. The real challenge is not generation, but reliability and value. Tools will evolve. What matters is understanding how they work, where they fail, and how to design guardrails around them. Just as anyone can write code but not everyone practices solid software engineering, the difference in this new paradigm lies in discipline, not access to AI. This session focuses on how to make agent-driven development robust: how to define clear requirements, enforce non-functional constraints, embed security and observability, and validate AI-generated artifacts at scale. The goal is to raise the abstraction level without losing control—and to ensure that agent-generated output translates into sustained business value. **How Does a Coding Agent Work?** (Tore Nestenius, .NET Architect & Technical Trainer, MS MVP) Coding agents are increasingly used to automate software tasks, yet how they actually work is often treated as a black box. This talk breaks a coding agent down into its core mechanics: how it is structured, how it communicates with a language model, and how a text-only model can read and modify real source code. We will cover: \* what a coding agent is, mechanically \* how agents communicate with language models \* how tools and MCP calls are executed \* how a text-only model works with source code \* how to build a basic coding agent in C#
