\*These classes are not a language exchange, but instead are meant to be a step in between so that students feel confident maintaining in depth and grammatically correct oral conversations outside of class\* \***Meetup event numbers only tend to show new students registering and do not include returning students attending class.** **Per class, there is an average of 7 students.** The first 2 classes are free and then only cost between $15 and $45 depending on which type of class you want to continue with.\* These French, Spanish, and English, classes are primarily meant for adults who are travellers, or who are planning to live in a francophone, hispanophone, or anglophone country. *English in this class can only taught in French and Spanish unless you are an advanced learner* The classes are primarily oral-based through guided conversations. They will teach you how to handle conversations in situations such as **"Going to the Convenience Store"**, **"Making Plans"**, **"Negotiating Prices"**, and **"Going out for a Drink"**. Whether you are craving classic pierogies, a crispy schnitzel, or just a warm homestyle meal, it's the perfect spot to unwind and meet some great people mid-week. Besides the Sunday morning service at 10 am, we also gather in the middle of the week for a simplified Eucharist as we notice some people might be rarely in town on weekends. We worship, pray, read, listen to reflection and receive the Holy Communion together. Whether or not you are a church-goer, you are welcome to join!

We are planning to have monthly potlucks (or picnics in the spring/ summer at local parks) or other activities including potluck/ picnic + hikes/ walks in the warmer weather. This potluck will start with an arrival time of 12:15 p.m. We will start eating at 1 PM SHARP followed by a walk (see below). There is an outdoor picnic area at the centre with picnic tables, so if it is a nice day we can eat outside. PLEASE bring your own utensils, plates, bowls, and cup as the centre does not always have an adequate supply of these. You are responsible for your own clean-up and if you borrow the items at the centre please clean them. All are welcome veg-curious, vegetarian, and vegan as long as what you bring to the potluck is vegan! 3 p.m.: After eating we will go for a walk to Doris McCarthy Trail/ Gates Gully. Saigon Lotus Restaurant is another favorite and they have around for a long time. It is a Vietnamese vegan restaurant known for its plant-based dishes. It is a good time to pay them another visit. They do get busy for Saturday noon time. They go out of their way to give us a group reservation. Please sign up only if you are committed to attend. No shows will not be allowed to attend future events. Otherwise it looks to be another good event and a nice way to start the weekend.
