We weekly meet at Queen's park cafe and speak French together. It is a friendly opportunity to speak French and to ask questions to a French native as well.
**THE SESSION:**
This is an in-person French conversation session lasting 90 minutes run by a French native & professional tutor (in London since 2016).
This is dedicated for any French speaker / learner with an Intermediate level or above. Attendees need to have some bases in French and a conversation level as the whole session is in French. If you are not sure, send a message (in French) to the organiser.
This is a very small group session: maximum of 6 attendees (minimum of 2). So you will speak directly to the tutor who enjoys handing over his passion for his country and his mother tongue. He will support you along the way to improve your speech flow.
The event consists of conversation and chats.

The French GCSE course aims to equip students with the skills needed to understand and use French in real-life situations. Students study a range of topics relevant to young people and everyday life, such as identity, family, school, leisure, holidays, work, and global issues.
The course develops competence across the four key language skills:
• Listening – understanding spoken French in different contexts
• Speaking – taking part in conversations and giving presentations

This talk is about the kind that protects your users.
In this interactive session, we’ll break down password security into 3 key lessons exploring encoding, encryption, and hashing - and why the difference matters more than you think..

Barbara is a professional Career Coach and Consultant who has personally coached thousands of professionals and executives from around the world. She brings extensive experience working in all sides of the hiring process, including career management, human resources, and executive search. She previously worked with MBA students and alumni as a Career Management Director at Thunderbird School of Global Management and in a variety of human resources roles focused on recruiting, training and employee relations for companies including Bank of America and MetLife. She also worked as a “headhunter” in New York City while attending graduate school. In all of her positions, she continually conducted either “real” job interviews or “mock” interviews, providing real-time, detailed and in-depth feedback on what could be improved in their answers.

She is a speaker, trainer, and coach who helps people be more successful. **SUMMARY**
In this Discourse, Chemist **Ivan Parkin** will cover the history, synthesis and applications of nanoscaled materials, as nanoparticles and coatings in functional materials. Tracing the history of nanoparticle creation, some of their unique physical properties and their applications in thin film coatings on glass and in medicine, he will detail the synthesis and characterisation of the world’s first commercial self cleaning glass coating- Pilkington Activ.
Through a series of demonstrations, the talk will guide us through some of the most important historical and leading-edge uses for nanoparticles, including how gold nanoparticles show synergistic enhancement of dyes to destroy common hospital pathogens, how surfaces can be modified to be hydrophobic, superhydrophobic and super hydrophilic through surface modification with nanoparticles, plus the use of nanoscaled coatings gas sensing and ultrasound probes.
This is a theatre and livestream event for an adult audience, where the speakers and audience in our Theatre are joined by our audience online.

No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building.
While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
