Sunday Tech Coffee Meetup
Welcome to Sunday Tech Coffee. This is a **networking** event for those in the tech industry in Berlin.
We are usually inside and to the right. Ask the barista/bartender if you can't find us.
Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Hey everyone!
I’m organising a co-working + socialising session for all of us who like to work on something (e.g. our own project, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. 🙂
To ensure that we have both **socialising** AND **working**, we will be using the so called “Pomodoro” technique:
**50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise. Then repeat! If you get into flow, you're also welcome to skip the breaks.
It’s an effective way to stay focused - you can read more about it [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique).
Anyone from any background is welcome, whatever project you are working on or whatever is your personal background.
I (the host) speak English and German, so either is fine :-)
——————————————————-
AGENDA:
* **15min Intro**
* Get to know everyone, talk about what you will work on today
* **Pomodoro Session** (3x) - *Each Pomodoro session consists* *of...*
* ...**50min** of uninterrupted “deep work” (no talking, no interruptions, no phones)
* ...**10min** of break: share your progress with others, talk about what you are stuck on etc.
* Repeat
* Conclude and celebrate your progress
Share your progress, socialise and get to know others 😊
————
We'll be at the Social Hub Berlin (they have a food menu in case you get hungry). The structured part will end at 2:30pm, but you're welcome to stay longer, go for lunch together, or leave earlier. See you there 🩵
**\*\*We'll reserve the long table. Please update your RSVP in advance if you can't attend!\*\***
Conscious Lap Dance: Own your Sensuality - Tantra inspired (WOMEN ONLY)
Come back home to your body and your sensuality, stepping into delicious self-expression. No performance, just dancing for your own pleasure. Explore, embody and express your sensuality from a place of self-love and discover what you need to drop in more fully.
It's not about looking a certain way or moving a certain way- it's about you feeling comfortable in your skin and celebrating your aliveness, your beauty, your radiance - and allowing yourself to be witnessed as this alive, beautiful, radiant being
As women we often feel unsafe in our sensual and sexual expression. Afraid that it might be seen as an invitation or that it will be used against us. The truth is that when a woman is connected to these parts of herself, she is immensely powerful.
When you think of a lap dance, you might think of a strip club where men seem to have the power and women are dancing for their pleasure. **This workshop aims to redefine the dynamics of a lap dance** where the dancer dances for his or her own pleasure while the receiver holds space for their process. Together we explore the qualities that support or diminish your sensual expression. The goal is not to seduce the receiver - though whenever you are fully dropped in, this becomes inevitable.
**This is a Tantra inspired event.** The dynamics of a lap dance offer a perfect representation of the eternal love story between Shiva (divine masculine) and Shakti (the divine feminine). In this workshop we will play with masculine and feminine energy - exploring their qualities and how they interact and fuel one another. You’ll be invited to embody both.
This is not a dance class where you learn steps. You are always invited to follow your own flow, exploring your unique expression. **Become a more fully and expressed version of yourself and discover yourself through the art of lap dance.**
**What to expect**
* Introduction & sharing
* Warm up exercises to connect with the group, to land in your body and to gradually prepare you for the lapdance
* Playful boundary exercise
* Exploration of feminine and masculine qualities
* Lap dance experience
* Reflection on what supports and diminishes your sensual expression
**Program (subjective to change)**
15.00 - 16.00 Introduction & sharing
16.00 - 16.30 warm up & connection
16.30 - 17.00 embodiment practice
17.00 - 17.15 playful boundary setting practice
17.15 - 17.30 short break
17.30 - 18.15 exploring masculine and feminine qualities
18.15 - 18.45 lap dance practice
18.45 - 19.00 closing circle
**What to bring**
* Wear anything that you feel comfortable, sensual and confident in; maybe something that feels nice on your skin, something that allows you ro move easily, or- it can also be something sexy. If you are unsure what to wear, you can simply bring the outfit you are unsure of and slip into it whenever it feels right.
* Water bottle
* Journal (optional)
**Testimonials**
*I highly recommend going to Sophie’s offering Conscious Lap Dance. It was almost like a beautiful women’s circle plus expressing and connecting to ourselves and other women through the art of dance. I learned so much about space holding and taking space in the most beautiful mutual and safe way. I got to experience how dancing staying connected with myself can feel. Very empowering :)*

*Sophie facilitates her events with passion, presence and so much integrity. I felt really seen and safe in the lap dance event and did connect with my inner goddess and playful spirit. Also my fears in the beginning were welcome and I could integrate some wounded parts within me. Every exercise is really an invitation to get to know yourself and your pleasure better while being able to connect in small steps with other participants.*

Portrait Drawing on Sunday Afternoon
This group is for everyone who is interested in drawing portraits!
For me, drawing has been a wonderful way to gain a new perspective on the world and the people within it.
Whether you are just starting out or have been drawing for ages — all levels are welcome :)
How it works:
1\. We meet at The Castle pub in Mitte and do short sittings of 15 minutes for each other\. The first sitting is divided into 3 warm\-up sketches\, 5 minutes each\.
2\. Before we start\, everybody writes their name on a blank card \(provided by the organizer\); these cards are then used to randomly pick the model every 15 minutes\.
3\. Usually we do 8 sittings\, with a 15\-minute break in the middle \(so after 4 sittings\, or 1 hour\)\.
-> The participation is free, but it is expected that everybody orders something from the bar to support the lovely location.
Get out your pencils and let's start!
Please bring your own art supplies!
[face to face] Interview Simulation
Join this **Interview Simulation** session — to sharpen the skills for both interviews **and** architectural pitches.
💡 How it works
The event is split into three parts:
1. **Answers for common behavioral questions** \- at the beginning\, I will read some common interview questions\, explain what they mean\, and give the correct answers\.
2. **Interview Simulation (10 minute rounds)** – One participant acts as the interviewee and answers a round of behavioral and design-focused questions. Each other participant gets to ask him one interview question.
3. **Feedback Round** – The group provides feedback on communication, structure, and clarity. Constructive criticism is encouraged.
💡You will be asked:
* **Behavioral questions** (“Tell me about yourself”, “Describe a challenge you faced...”)
* **Technical questions** (based on your tech stack)
* **Light design problems** (high-level reasoning, not code)
No need to prepare anything in advance — just bring curiosity and an open mind.
Feel free to bring your CV if you’d like feedback from others, or share a few words if you’re currently job hunting. If so, we will also brainstorm answers to more common questions that you were asked.
Whether you’re preparing for an interview or simply want to grow as a software designer or architect, this session is for you.

A date with yourself: Pause, Reflect & Create
Hey lovely humans! ✨
We're gathering for an afternoon dedicated to the most important relationship you'll ever have: the one with yourself.
This workshop is about pausing, tuning in, and remembering what makes you, you. Through gentle reflection, creative expression, and a room full of women lifting each other up – we'll create space to reconnect with ourselves in a way that actually stays with us.
We'll start by setting intentions for what you need, then move through a mix of embodiment exercises, a creative activity (self-love collage), and a simple closing ritual to help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself.
No prep needed. No "right way" to do it. Just you, showing up for yourself.
**Les Amis** is a women-only community of friendly souls. We provide access to hundreds of experiences that explore your passions and connect you with other event participants. **Check our website to learn more, and apply to join our community and events**: [lesamis.cc/apply](https://www.lesamis.cc/apply)
Screenwriting Focus Group | Filmmakers & Movie Nerds
**🎬 Screenwriters' Meetup Invitation 🎬**
This meetup is for anyone passionate about storytelling—whether you’re a screenwriter, filmmaker, producer, or someone with a great idea looking for the right collaborators. Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your screenplay, this is the perfect space to create, collaborate, and refine your work.
We’re trying a new format for this session. The theme will be “Loneliness in a Connected World.”
The session is structured in two parts. During the first hour, we’ll collectively explore the topic and gather as many perspectives, experiences, observations, and ideas as possible. In the second hour, we’ll use this material to shape a story framework, focusing on a basic three-act structure and clarifying the core elements of a potential narrative.
What I ask from you is simple: before coming, take some time to reflect on the theme.
What is your personal relationship to loneliness in a highly connected, digital world? How does it feel? What experiences—your own or those of people you know—come to mind? You don’t need to write anything down in advance. Just come with a clear point of view and a few thoughts you’ve already considered.
The goal is shared thinking, not preparation or finished concepts.

Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association:
They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Google Analytics Alternatives
**Google Analytics Alternatives**
Is it finally time to make the switch away from Google Analytics? Two-and-a-half years ago Jason Packer asked this question at Columbus Web Analytics Wednesday.
Since then: Google’s Universal Analytics has been sunset, we’ve changed our name to Columbus Data & Analytics Wednesday, and Jason has released two editions of his book “Google Analytics Alternatives”.
Fresh off the release of the 2nd edition of his book, we thought it was time to re-open this conversation. While people love to complain about it, GA’s market share has remained relatively constant (at least in the United States). Why is that? You won’t find any complaints about GA4 in this talk, but rather an overview of what’s currently available in the market and how to frame your decision-making process.
We’ll also be giving out some free copies of Jason’s book! So even if you’ve got a “GA4Lyfe” tattoo (no judgement), there’s free books to go with the free pizza and beer.

Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
