Weirding Practice
Weirding Practice
**Weirding Practice - Queer Bridges** with ***Sefa Okutan*** for **LGBTQIA+ Queer Migrants** **[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/queer-bridges-monday/w19-2026)** đŸ”” The work explores movement and constant transformation shaped by diverse life experiences. It engages a sense of “weirding”; uncertainty, curiosity, and confusion; as a familiar space for queer people with migrant experiences, where unexpected connections can emerge. The work centers on movement and constant transformation inspired by diverse life experiences. Within this process, a sense of “*weirding”,* uncertainty, confusion, curiosity; may emerge. This sensation is not unfamiliar to queer people with lived migrant experiences; rather, it can become a point of intersection where unexpected situations and connections appear. Participants are invited to play with movement research scores that explore this ongoing sense of weirding, allowing dance to gradually emerge. Drawing on performative elements of drag as well as embodied experiences and sensory memory, we will create **Performing Artifacts** (accumulations of movement research that take on a tangible and reusable form). **Queer Bridges: Forging connections and providing resources for LGBTQIA+ people with experiences of migration and/or displacement.** Queer people with experiences of migration and/or displacement in Berlin often face unique challenges in their daily lives that can limit their access to supportive communities and inclusive environments. With the support of the **Deutsche Fernsehlotterie Stiftung**, we have developed the Queer Bridges program to overcome these barriers. We provide resources, networking and support in a welcoming environment for queer immigrants and refugees through our special program. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging to the local LGBTQIA+ community, enabling smooth integration and an improved quality of life for queer folks with experiences of migration and/or displacement. ✅ Our **Queer Bridges** program will continue to evolve and we are always happy to hear about your needs. If you are interested, you can send us an e-mail to stay informed about further updates. **General Information** **Participants**: This workshop is for all who identify as LGBTQ+ and have experienced migration and/or displacement. If you don’t share these experiences but are interested in joining please reach out to us first to see if space is available. We ask that all participants respect the program’s core focus and contribute to fostering an open respectful space. **Registration**: This event has limited spots available. Registration through our website is therefore required. **Language**: English **Cost:** The event is free of charge.

Touch and Move: Kontakt improvisieren, Community schaffen
Touch and Move: Kontakt improvisieren, Community schaffen
**Touch and Move: Improvising Contact, creating Community** with ***Jochen Kleres and/or Zahiro Ji*** for **GBTQ men\*** **[BOOK A TICKET!](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/touch-and-move/w19-2026)** **Member: 10 €** **Non Member: 15 €** This is a class for GBTQ men\* with all levels of experience, from total newbies to advanced. We meet and begin by checking in with each other, followed by a guided exploration moving from somatic practice to contact dance improvisation. This all culminates in opening the space for the free flow of dancing and explorations in duos, trios and as a group. Bodywork will help us to warm down at the end and integrate what we experienced. Dance is our way to create a space for exploration: what happens when queer men’s bodies meet and get in touch without any expectations and intentions? In Contact Improvisation, touch is the source of finding dance movements. It helps you to be open to the here and now, to surprises, to letting go of performing roles, meeting expectations, and following scripts. Any movement can be part of this dance, no matter how simple – we literally move any way we feel. This creates a conversation without words, simply through our moving bodies. Feeling ourselves by sensing others can create nourishing bonds of community as much as it liberates us. We emphasise consensus, respect, diversity of people and energies, listening, and a non-judgmental space. **General Information** ‱ Wear comfortable clothes. ‱ We’ll speak English and/or German, depending on the needs of the group. ‱ This event is one of two free events included each month in the membership programme.

AWS UG Berlin Workshop - Kiro Bootcamp
AWS UG Berlin Workshop - Kiro Bootcamp
You built, you broke, and now you will learn! Agentic coders are a major breakthrough for developers, making work easier (then at times more challenging!) Think about how these tools evolved from providing simple code blocks to actively rewriting the code inside IDE. As we, developers, engineers and designers, who are still learning how to use them, we need to understand the reasoning behind these tools and follow some best practices. **Kiro Bootcamp - Learn from the Experts** In light of all these, we kept our promise and are happy to organize a half-day long Kiro Bootcamp for you. Thanks to **Rackspace Technology** we will be gathering in WeWork, inviting experts from AWS to introduce you Kiro, explain the critical parts, help with getting the most out of it. This is a hands-on workshop with a practical deep dive into starting-up, running and optimizing Kiro. You work through independent tasks that you can pick and choose from, learning how to build, deploy, and operate your ideas on Kiro IDE. By the end of the workshop, we aim that you understand how Kiro works, what things you have to take into account at spec-driven development, and how you can integrate your Kiro IDE to external and internal tools. This workshop is aimed at developers, designers, cloud specialists and product developers. While it is not necessary to have extensive knowledge on AI development, it is ideal that you install Kiro in your device and try to build some minor projects in advance. **When?** 5th of May\, Tuesday\,\| 12:00 \- 17:00 **Where?** WeWork - Stresemannstraße 123, 10963 Berlin **How?** Fill out this form to apply. From Events to Boundaries: Hands-On Context Mapping
From Events to Boundaries: Hands-On Context Mapping
Join us for our next Berlin Collaborative Modelling session — a hands-on workshop where we'll build a Context Map from scratch. Context Maps make the big picture of a system explicit: which bounded contexts exist, how they relate to each other, and where the friction, dependencies, and power dynamics between teams actually live. They help you make better decisions about integration strategies, team ownership, and where to invest in clean boundaries versus where to accept pragmatic compromise. To get there, we'll use Event Storming as our starting point — laying out domain events to discover natural clusters of behavior, then drawing boundaries around them to identify candidate bounded contexts and subdomains. From there, we'll sketch out the relationships between contexts and discuss what patterns like Customer/Supplier, Conformist, or Anti-Corruption Layer look like in practice. What to expect: This is a collaborative, stickies-on-the-wall kind of evening. No laptops needed, no prior DDD experience required — just curiosity about how to make sense of complex systems. We'll work through a shared example domain together, so everyone starts from the same place.

Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing. **SPEAKER BIO** Mosaic Syed is a Senior Data Engineering and Cloud Solutions Architect with over 20 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across global enterprise environments. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mosaic-basha-syed-92300856 **CALL FOR SPEAKERS** Learn more: [https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/](https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/) **THANK YOU** *VEEAM* for hosting our meetup! Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: ‱ How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. ‱ Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? ‱ Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? ‱ Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? ‱ Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? ‱ What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? ‱ How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? ‱ Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? ‱ How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? ‱ How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective. This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly. Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
