This event has a different topic each time and includes a variety of interactive exercises. It's an engaging and creative way to express ourselves, and connect with how others think, feel and deal with life. We will aim to provide a supportive and sate environment and open up about our lives freely. A lot of times we don't talk about what we are really going through because we are worried of what people might think of us. This causes us to bottle things up, feel disconnected with the people around us or feel ashamed of ourselves. Anything you share in the session is confidential and shall not be disclosed outside of the room. Please only RSVP if you intend to come and change your RSVP to 'No' if you are not going to be able to attend. • **PRICE:** 5 € to cover the room (Revolut/Cash/ Paypal). Please pay the fee after the workshop. • **TIME:** We will start at 19:25 and finish at 20:55. Please be on time, to respect other members in the group. • **VENUE:** We are meeting at the Abbey Presbyterian Church - Parnell Square N, Rotunda, Dublin 1 (entrance on the side of Frederick St.). The room is on the first floor, at the back on your left. • **NOTE:** Even though the event is held in a religious institution, the group and the event are entirely secular and the exercises are by no means related to spirituality or religion.

For our writing meet-up, we’ll simply come together to spend some time writing in good company 🌷 Bring whatever you’re working on, or just a notebook and an idea, and settle in with a coffee ☕ We’ll keep it relaxed, with space to write quietly or chat a little if it feels natural. There’s no pressure to share, just a gentle space to create alongside others.

We meet and chat about it, as a starting point of conversation. Please feel free to bring books :)

Our tradition is that of Rinzai Zen, our teacher Harada Roshi. Our main practice during the evening is Zazen, seated Meditation practice. Sitting together in silence we turn our attention inward and seek to awaken to the truth of that which we truly are. We start the evening with a round of Zazen(sitting Meditation) followed by Kinhin (walking Meditation), another round of Zazen and finishing with Chanting of a number of Sutras, including The Heart Sutra. A collection reborn through significant acquisitions, a future-proof collecting policy and generous donations, making it one of the most important collections in Western Europe. *Ashes to Fashion* marks this extraordinary milestone with a stunning showcase of fashion from the eighteenth century to today, from historic garments to contemporary pieces by Chanel and Versace. The exhibition will feature rarely-seen items, including the sole survivor of the 1976 fire - the Lennox Quilt, an exquisite 18th-century embroidered quilt – which was not lost in the fire because it happened to be on display at the museum. This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.

Here’s the plan: For dinner before the movie, meet at nearby BRASSICA between 5:45 and 6:00pm. Go through the line, and we’ll try to snag as many of the high-top tables as we can. For the movie, please purchase your ticket for the 7:30pm showing and we’ll meet in the lobby area between 7:00 and 7:15pm.
