Special Sunday Afternoon Event @ Murphy’s!! Cool Off, Play 🎲 🃏 & Hang Out 🙌🏻
We’re back at Murphy’s this Sunday for a relaxed, small-group afternoon of entertainment with board games, good conversations, and a chance to cool off from the summer heat. The idea is simple: fewer people, so enough space for everyone to actually play, chat, and connect instead of getting lost in a crowd. Expect light, fun games (no competition stress) and a calm, respectful atmosphere. Newcomers are welcome if they enjoy a quieter, more personal meetup vibe. And please don’t forget to RSVP and update your status if your plans change. Let's keep the spots open for others who'd love to join. 😀
Drawing Cafe [#26] Coffee & Sketching in Berlin
Drawing Cafe [#26] Coffee & Sketching in Berlin
We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Showcase Phase: We show some of the drawings we did to each other. **Who We Are** Creative Sessions is an art events group located in Berlin. **Is it Free?** The event is free of charge. Iďťżt is advisable to get a drink though. This is a cafe, we need to have at least half of the people on each table with a drink. They accept only cash and most hot drinks cost from 2.50 to 3.50. **How to help or donate?** The event is provided for free but many people help this be a regular thing. We also need people to volunteer and help for minor tasks like the serving of the drinks or cleaning up. Just send us a message. If you want to donate and keep this event from happening, via Paypal to the host (Miltos) : https://ko-fi.com/miltosthings/ **Art Materials?** Bring your own art materials. **Our Instagram Profile** Follow us on instagram @icreativesessions Use the hashtag #icreativesessions on your post description there to find out drawings from the event!

Tea Tasting with Elena Goncharik: Tea from the Edge of Europe
**Tea from the Edge of Europe- Tea Tasting by Elena Goncharik** Did you know the Azores are home to one of the oldest — and only — tea plantations in Europe? **Chá Gorreana** has been growing tea on São Miguel since 1883, and the story of how tea made it to this volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic is worth telling. Our certified tea expert Elena @sip_pages recently visited the plantation herself — and brought back four teas for us to explore together: * White Tea * Green Tea (Hysson) * Jasmine Tea * Black Tea (Pekoe) Join us on Sunday, June 28th · 3–5pm 🌿 for a tasting session where we’ll brew all four, share the story behind them, and slow down for an afternoon of tea, curiosity & good company. Elena is a Berlin-based tea expert who shares her passion for tea on Instagram under @sip_pages. She regularly documents tea journeys and special discoveries from the world of tea — and offers private tea ceremonies in Berlin, guiding guests through the culture and art of tea.

Silent Reading Club
Silent Reading Club
Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better! It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading. The usual agenda: - Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes) - Silent reading (~1 hour) - Discussion (~30-40 minutes) - Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like! You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you! No registration needed – the event is donation based. All funds support the Offenes Wohnzimmer.

Wine Tasting - Newcomers Night
Wine Tasting - Newcomers Night
This is "***New Members Night***." If you are one of the many folks on the fence about coming to your first wine tasting with the *Hilliard Wine Club*, this is the night to come. There will be many other new people, so you won't be alone. And the regulars will be there to help make you feel welcome. We're a relaxed and warm group. We hope to see you. **New Venue:** After more than a year on Norwich Street in Old Hilliard we have found a new home at The District's Club House. It's about 3 miles from the former location but is brighter and more spacious. See photos and map. **SIDE NOTE:** New members are welcome to ALL our Friday night wine tastings, but this night is a special overture to those who don't want to feel that they are the only new person in the room. Don't worry. You won't be. And don't hesitate to RSVP to other events. **OLD MEMBERS NOTE**: Hey Old Members! You're not excluded from this event. We expect to see you there to help make the new members feel welcome. **Sample 4 different wines** this Friday for $15 (*Cash or Venmo only please*). Glasses are provided. Bring a snack to share. Bring a bottle to share if you care to. See all the details below for the Hilliard Wine Club Wine Tasting. In Person. In Real Life. Actual Wine from glass bottles with corks and everything. **Wine**: Tastings will be $15 for four samples as always. And you are welcome to bring a bottle of your favorite wine to share with others. Participation in the wine tastings is optional. But since you’re going, I will buy enough wine to cover you. If you bring your own wine and do not participate in the tasting you will only pay $10 to cover the door charge. **Parking**: There are 15 visitor spaces along the North curve if you make a right hand turn after the first stop sign when you are facing the clubhouse. If all of those spaces are taken, there are 30 more visitor spaces across the back of the community (westerb edge) where the concrete wall separates the world from I-270. It's only about a 100 yard walk back to the clubhouse from there. **Glasses**: …will be provided. Please note that after the wine tasting, the glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please be gentle, our glasses are fragile. Uh, they are made of glass! **Food**: You are welcome to bring a snack to share. It is not required. Most people do though. If no one brings anything, there will be nothing. **Code of Conduct**: Though mostly understood, it’s still worth mentioning. We don’t have rules per se, but we highly discourage the following topics of discussion because they are likely to incite anti-social responses - Sex, Politics, Religion. Please don’t mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions. **Extra Wine**: After everyone has had their samples, we remove the pouring spouts and any remaining wine is poured freely to whomever wants it. I hate having leftover wine. **Queen of Hearts**: The Queen of Hearts raffle is a fundraiser for the club and a Barnum and Bailey type extravaganza - minus the dancing ponies, clowns, and actual circus. Bring your ***cash*** as the Queen does not accept American Express or other plastic. Again, We look forward to meeting new members and reuniting with old friends. Sincerely, ***Paul Uttermohlen***, **Red 1 Realty** *Your Hilliard Wine Club Host*
