Introductory Buddhist Talk & Group Meditation
Are you looking for an opportunity to learn more about Buddhism and meditation?
Come and join us for our regular Buddhist meditation sessions every Tuesday.
Every session will start with a short introductory and will be followed by a guided, 20 - 30 minute meditation.
Feel free to join us after the session for some social time and questions and answers. The evening is free of charge, but donations are always welcome.

Rueda de Casino โ is a progressive Cuban-style salsa class and a fun way to learn salsa. Its fast paced, danced in a circle and changing partners flowing from one partner to the next
Cuban Salsa (Rueda)
BEGINNER LEVEL 7.00pm - 8.00pm
This course is for absolute beginner to beginner plus students.
The first 4 weeks we will cover Cuban Salsa fundamentals, Cuban Flow body movement and basic Cuban steps. The last 2 weeks we will use moves and steps learnt in a progressive wheel (Rueda) pattern.
This class can only be purchased as a 6 week course.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL 8.00pm - 9.00pm
During this 6 week course, you will learn complicated Cuban turns, Rueda dynamics, team patterns and different formations, executing the moves by the caller and dancing in sync at a faster pace.
Must have completed 2 x Beg Level Rueda courses before entering Intermedaite level.
This class can be purchased as a 6 week course or can be attended casually.

WATER
It's your responsibility to check the temperature and distance for the day and carry an appropriate amount of water. When riding outside suburbia remember that carrying too much water is better than not enough as the distances between water availability may vary greatly from the planned route due to road closures or other unforeseen circumstances.
Check Meetup for any changes the day before the ride, as the ride may be cancelled in the event of extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
If you cannot make it to the ride please change your RSVP to 'NO' as soon as you know but no later than the day before ride day.

Jewellers Bench Hire in Fitzroy
Jewellers can hire a desk in our workshop to make or finish off their own pieces.
This workshop is self run, you need to attend a health and safety induction before working daily unattended.
Basic jewellery making tools are provided and some consumables such as flux, borax, tumbling polish, lathe polish and some drill bits.
Aprons and safety glasses are provided, tie up loose hair, wear enclosed shoes.

**Ride**: This is a one-way ride of 103 kms from Geelong to Melbourne. We take a Vline train to Waurn Ponds (Myki required) and ride back on a mixture of paths, streets and country back roads. A few hills in Geelong's suburbs will warm us up and we will keep a reasonable pace up for the same reason.
**Meet**: On the platform or on the train for the
**9:10 Southern Cross to Waurn Ponds**, arriving 10:30
Please be early so we can get our bikes on the train in the same carriage.
**Riders**:
Suits Upper Intermediate riders or above, capable of 25 - 30 kmh typical speeds on conventional lightweight road bikes only.

## **Creative Day: Art and Poetry Afternoon**
Looking for a relaxed space to exercise your creativity?
Whether youโre an experienced artist, a casual writer, or someone who hasn't picked up a paintbrush since school, you are completely welcome here. This is a low-pressure, friendly afternoon designed to help us connect and create together.
### **The Details**
* **When:** Saturday, June 6th from 3:00 PM โ 5:00 PM
* **Where:** @Burmese House (303 Bridge Rd, Richmond VIC 3121)
**You can participate in one of two ways:**
1. Bring Your Own Project: Have a sketchpad you haven't opened in weeks? A novel you're working on? Or some sewing you're trying to finish? Bring it along and enjoy working on it in good company.
2. Join A Simple Workshop: Want to try something new? Weโll be running casual, self-paced mini-workshops where you can:
* Start a new poetry piece
* Create a hands-on collage
*Note: If you want to try the poetry or collage workshops, don't worry about bringing anything as all poetry and collage materials are provided!*
