Speaking, VOICE Workshop - FAST FUN LEARNING
Smashing! Try something new Thursday
Interactive workshop - Learn and practice secrets to improving your voice.
Serious about improving your leadership - **Why mess, come to the best**
Why is Smashing different to other speaking clubs?
Just one member's thoughts, "The fun/laughs factor is definitely a point of difference. We keep it moving with high standards so itโs a nice balance. Too strict makes it tense and boring, too loose and we can lose the energy/commercial feel. SmashSpeak's vibe's in the sweet spot."
**Free parking** close: O'Connell and Cobden streets
**IMPORTANT: Be on time, as doors close when the show starts**

Tweed Ride & Eastern Suburbs Brewery Cafe Tour - Intermediate 42 kms
There are a surprising number of brewery cafes tucked away in suburban areas, often close to our shared paths. We shall visit a couple of these establishments to sample their wares, and have a jolly good get-together with friends over an ale and some nice food.
For added fun this is a **Tweed Ride**, involving dress in casual street clothing (ideally some tweed or woollens for warmth). Any bike is suitable but ideally a classic, retro or vintage bike if you have one, or if not, your least bling ride (any bike will do).
This is an INTERMEDIATE grade ride.
The tour will commence from Ringwood railway station at 10am.
We will ride along the Eastlink Trail in Ringwood and through Koomba Park to the Dandenong Creek Trail to Jells Park for morning tea before diverting along the Ferntree Gully Rd path and Ferny Creek Trail to visit Project Brewing Company, which has some great food options (not much that is vegetarian) as well as beers to sample. We then continue on Ferny Creek trail to Ferntree Gully, then to Boronia on the Railway Trail where we will visit Hard Road Brewing. They also do pizzas here. From here we will continue along the Railway Trail and work our way back to Ringwood. If people are feeling seedy at this stage a shorter return using the train from Bayswater is an option..
\*Ride responsibly, take the train if the hills get too much

CREATING and IMPROVING ABILITY! Free Meetup!
Your ability to work and live with others is crucial to your survival.
To survive well one needs ability.
Today meetup topic: Creating and Improving Ability
And if you think you already have all the ability one needs to survive well then it is important for you to learn how to KEEP IT FROM GOING AWAY.
Attend our Free Meetup!
Definition for Ability: One's power to observe, to make decisions and to act.
A man is as free, as well-off, as he is able.
A family is as happy as it has ability.
A business is as well-off as it has able people in it.
A country is as well-off as it has able workers, foremen and executives.
At today's meetup learn what constitutes ability and more importantly how to develop and improve it so that it does not go away.
Fact's are that one's ability is never the same. It either goes up or it will go down.
Your natural as well as learned abilities are constantly subject to many of life's pressures.
One can therefore simply not rest on one's laurels regarding your current abilities and simply assume they will always be available for use.
The time to protect and enhance ability is when you are still able.
Any loss of ability will result in less confidence followed by problems resulting in unhappiness. This is called the dwindling spiral.
Not just for you, it will impact all others you associate with as well.
Today's topic applies to all aspects of life but will focus on how your abilities or lack of abilities or a sudden or gradual lowering of ability relates to work and family life.
On your arrival you will be asked to complete a Oxford Personality Test.
From this you will learn what ability it is that needs attention and improving.
Whilst at our meetup you will also learn about some of the different technologies are that you find here which actively create, protect or enhance ability in key areas of life.
The world cries out for better people (More Able People) that will lead happier life's with better better jobs, stronger families as well as community and businesses groups.
Get The Know-How for life, attend our meetup or ask me for a time that is better suited to your schedule.
Sacred Roads, Empty Nights: Fellini in Contrast
Step into the world of Federico Fellini for an afternoon of conversation centered on two of his most iconic films: La Dolce Vita and La Strada. This meetup is dedicated entirely to discussionโno screenings, just a deep dive into Felliniโs evolving vision of humanity, spirituality, and modern life.
Weโll explore the contrast between the sprawling, decadent Rome of La Dolce Vita and the intimate, poetic journey of La Strada. How does Fellini move from the innocence and cruelty of Gelsominaโs world to the disillusionment and spectacle surrounding Marcello? What threadsโemotional, philosophical, and visualโconnect these seemingly different works?
Whether youโre drawn to Felliniโs surreal imagery, his compassion for lost souls, or his critique of modern society, this session invites you to share interpretations, challenge ideas, and uncover new layers in two masterpieces of cinema.
Come prepared with your thoughts, questions, and curiosities.
