Join one of our volunteers, Jasmina, Lexi and/or Martina for a picnic at De Bruul, kids and partners welcome! The group will meet at 12:00 and will find a cozy place to sit together. We will keep everyone updated on the day of via a whatsapp group, which we will share prior to the event.

**Join us for a warm and easy-going afternoon at the Zinneke Parade 🎉, one of Brussels’ most creative and colorful street events.** The parade brings together artists, local groups, performers, musicians, and communities from different parts of the city to create a unique celebration in the streets of Brussels. The atmosphere is usually festive, artistic, multicultural, and full of surprises ✨. Expect music, costumes, creative performances, colorful groups, and a very Brussels-style mix of imagination and good energy. We can go as a group and walk around the city centre, watch the different parade groups, take photos 📸, enjoy the music and costumes 🎶🎭, and experience the festive atmosphere together. This is a great event for people who enjoy culture, creativity, street performances, local Brussels life, and social gatherings 🤝. Whether you are new in Brussels or simply want to spend a nice afternoon with friendly people, you are welcome to join. The unique exhibition *Bellezza e Bruttezza* at Bozar will soon come to an end. The works are amazing and can be appreciated on their own, but the thought-provoking thread running through the exhibition is less obvious and might benefit from the guidance of an art historian. If you wish to learn more about the prescriptive power of images as it emerged during the 16th century, join this guided tour. I'm one of Bozar's guides, and the rates are the official ones. Let's meet at 11:15 in the main Horta Hall. Be on time, we have to set up the audio system. **Somatic Movement** is a powerful method based on principles and wisdom from Eastern movement practices, such as yoga and Tai Chi, as well as Western techniques and insights from neuroscience, trauma therapy, and burnout recovery. The goal is to activate your body and brain by allowing energy to flow through your system without overloading the nervous system. This is achieved through gentle, intentional movements, stretches and exercises, but also by increasing awareness and sensory perception — both internally (within ourselves) and externally (of our surroundings). Combining tension-releasing stretches, easy flow-restoring exercises (using trees, branches, logs, stones, hills...), doing silent or touch meditations and playful authentic relating games, we're able to release a lot of stored tension and start to feel free, open-hearted, unassuming and adventurous again. The 2h-sessions focus on gradually increasing physical resilience, but include emotional and energetic aspects as well to restore balance in body, mind and spirit. There is no competitive stake, there are no extremes or high-intensity actions involved. But we do sometimes challenge our personal comfort zones a bit, sliding in and out, bumping into some limiting belief or conviction we might carry within. We learn by looking at things from different perspectives. The sessions are guided by seasoned therapist Ken. But since this is a professional practice, where paying people might participate as well, we can only offer this once. Building on all the love we received through our reading circles, we’ve decided to expand this koshish into a collective: Dera. The word Dera means a gathering, camp, or pavilion, a space for coming together. Dera aims to create a safe and inclusive space for anyone interested in South Asian culture. Through films, music, literature, and food, we hope to build a community that feels like a home away from home. Our next session is on Sunday, 31st May, and focuses on the Urdu Nasri Nazam (prose poem). We’ll share a brief history of the form, read works by brilliant Urdu poets, and also spend some time playing with words together to create poems of our own, just for fun. Let’s turn those “meh” moments into “heck yeah!” achievements! Kinga is from Poland, but has lived in Leuven for almost 5 years at this point. She knows the city from the perspective of both the student and the professional. She enjoys learning and exploring new topics, and her list of “Oh, I’d like to know more about that” keeps getting longer. The biggest challenge, however, is actually sitting down and getting things done. It’s just way too easy to postpone it until tomorrow. She says, "Since I can’t rely on my motivation, I choose to create an environment that inspires me not to procrastinate." Georgi, who has lived in Belgium for more than 4 years, is originally from Bulgaria, but has been traveled and lived abroad in the last years, before settling down in Leuven. Georgi's passion is people and creating unique and meaningful interactions that leave a mark.

This is a calm and social walk where everyone can enjoy nature and connect with others. We will also discuss small nature observations and stories along the way. You can expect a mix of walking, discovering, and informal conversation. June meetup at the Library. We’ll play games and have casual conversation in Japanese and in English. All levels of Japanese ability, from non-speaker to native, are welcome. After the meetup we will go out to eat at a local restaurant.

Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome!
