Meet people from many countries and make new friends. 👉We always have between 150 - 250 people attending our Tuesday event since this event is listed in 3 different meetup groups. Some people come early some come late, best time is between 6pm to 9pm. 👉This is a great opportunity to learn to speak English with native and non-native speakers. \*\*New Cuban Courses will commence Tuesday 20th January\*\* Rueda de Casino – is a progressive Cuban-style salsa class and a fun way to learn salsa. Its fast paced, danced in a circle and changing partners flowing from one partner to the next Cuban Salsa (Rueda) BEGINNER LEVEL 7.00pm - 8.00pm This course is for absolute beginner to beginner plus students. The first 4 weeks we will cover Cuban Salsa fundamentals, Cuban Flow body movement and basic Cuban steps. The last 2 weeks we will use moves and steps learnt in a progressive wheel (Rueda) pattern. This class can only be purchased as a 6 week course. Must have completed 2 x Beg Level Rueda courses before entering Intermedaite level. This class can be purchased as a 6 week course or can be attended casually. **As we had to cancel this event 24 January due to extreme heat (40) we will put it on next Saturday 31 January with more mild conditions - 25 degrees predicted..Please keep up with this website in case of any change.** Our late afternoon get-together, (4-6pm) for a drink and conversation *en français* at Southgate food court by the Yarra river. It is easy to find. We will get together in the sheltered seating area (as per photo above) outside the food court *en plein air.* Southgate food court is just across the river from Flinders Street Station. We can buy a glass of wine or hot drink inside the food court. A glass of wine costs $11 at Grill'd or Rhumbas. Any change of arrangement, will be posted on the meetup website.

*Urban Alley* Where: Urban Alley Brewery - Docklands When: 31.1.26 starting 2pm Hear me out. Urban Alley Brewery rarely comes to mind when I think about craft beer venues in Melbourne. I visited some years back and walked away pretty disappointed - more a touristy venue style place than a confident brewer. But things seem to have changed since then - a new head brewer started in 2021 apparently. Their range has become noticeably more interesting and assertive. I recently had The Cerulean, a Hazy IPA. It was genuinely good — good enough for me to recommend to my fellow beernerds. They have a decent range now spanning multiple styles. The Cerulean is on tap as is another Hazy IPA, only the one stout but about 3-4 sours and even a barleywine apparently! Let's put aside any preconceptions and give them a chance for our first session of 2026!

Our group, KIND MEALS, will be picking up the tab for pizzas, at MIKEY'S LATE NIGHT SLICE, on Sunday, February 8th from 12-2pm. We will be trying out MIKEY'S Vegan Fake-ass BBQ Chick'n pizza and Vegan Fake-ass Pepperoni pizza, as well as some other special vegan pizzas that are served there. All the vegan pizzas are covered with Selfish Cow vegan cheese. The pizza is free, drinks on your own.
