Join us for the next **Men Unplugged** dinner. A monthly catch-up for separated dads who want to connect, reflect, and just be themselves. Whether you're navigating the early days of separation or further along the journey, this is a relaxed space to meet other men who get what you're going through. No pressure, no expectations. Just real conversation, good food, and the chance to connect with other guys who understand the ups and downs of fatherhood after separation. Each dinner has a theme to guide the conversation—but sharing is completely optional. 🧗Climbing, onwards and upwards to the Pub: A Vertical Social Adventure Eat Drink Dance Melbourne – Social Rock Climbing Night Hardrock Climbing, Swanston St (CBD) Thursday 8 January 2026 – Subject to venue timetables (stay tuned!) **Venue information** inc costs. [Hard Rock Climbing](https://www.hardrock.com.au/prices/) You will need to purchase entry and at a minimum also a rock climbing harness, you also have the option to hire climbing shoes (for a better experience) and chalk although these are not exactly necessary if you are new to the sport. Ready to swap the dance floor for a climbing wall and flirt with gravity for a couple of hours? Join us for Climbing to Pub, a fun, social, slightly chaotic vertical adventure right in the heart of Melbourne. We’ll spend around 2 hours at Hardrock Melbourne (CBD) scaling colourful walls, cheering each other on, and discovering which muscles we forgot existed. Afterwards, for those who want to keep the good vibes rolling, we’ll wander over to Captain Melville for dinner and drinks from 9pm—because nothing says “I conquered a wall” like a cold beverage and a hearty feed. --- What to Bring - Water (hydration = happiness) - Comfortable, stretchy clothes - Runners (or hire climbing shoes for a much better grip-and-zip experience) - A big carbohydrate snack to keep the energy flowing - Your best “I swear I’m not afraid of heights” attitude --- For First‑Timers & New Gym Climbers If you’ve never climbed before—or you’re new to Hardrock—you’ll need to complete a compulsory safety induction. We’ll be doing roped climbing, so teamwork is part of the fun. --- A Note from Your (Very Rusty) Host Once upon a time I was a climbing and mountaineering instructor… and then came lockdowns, injuries, hand surgeries, and a long break from the vertical arts. So I’ll be right there with you on the baby beginner climbs, laughing, wobbling, and rediscovering my forearms. No pressure, no ego—just a group of friendly humans having a go. --- What to Expect - A fun, flirty, low‑stakes social atmosphere - Lots of cheering, laughing, and “wait, how do I get down?” moments - A guaranteed dose of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) if you haven’t exercised in a while - A perfect warm‑up for the group’s cycling rides if you want to get those muscles activated Climbing is one of the best social sports around—shared challenge, shared triumph, and plenty of opportunities to chat between climbs. Sunday arvo, $6 pints, live music, what more could you want! Rocky Ridge Brewery, which has taken over from Thunder Road Brewery, offers a bunch of boutique craft beers and to top it off give musicians the chance to make a living. So come join us for drinks, light entertainment and banter!

Friendly game of five a side indoor football (soccer). Indoor trainers/boots. No studs. Played on timber floor. Bibs will be supplied. Game Rules: Kick ins from the side. Goal keeper must throw the ball out when the ball goes behind. No slide tackles. After each goal a spot kick is taken and the opposing team must stand behind the white line (you'll understand when you get there). Keeper rotates every 6 minutes. If you need to pull out of the game for any reason, please RSVP no and then message the event so that another can potentially fill your spot. Please note that you should do this at least 48 hours (the sooner the better) before the game to allow the chance for someone to take your spot. If we are unable to fill the spot then I will not be able to refund you. Thank you.

**Valentines Eve**: Love and friendship pair quite naturally with almost any wine. Go ahead. Give it a try at the Hilliard Wine Club Valentines Eve event. Pay no attention to the superstitious guy in the corner who keeps murmuring comments about it being Friday the 13th too. (Volunteers with decorations show up at least 15 minutes early to set the scene for a pleasant relaxing evening. Reminder - this is also another "Freestyle Night.") **On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. There is NO formal wine tasting like on other weeks\. Door charge is $10 \(cash or Venmo only please\)\. We may have some left over wines to clear out\! Glasses are provided\. Take Care\. See you there\. **Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby. Please note that after the wine tasting, the EMPTY glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please do not make me hunt down your empty glass.
