FREE THE FIRST TIME YOU ATTEND. Meet at the Crown pub and draw or paint landscapes in Victoria Park or along the Regent’s Canal. This is a very a friendly and well-established group. You can draw or paint in your own way or the tutor can provide a plan for the session for you to follow. This will help you to understand techniques, motivations, colour and composition. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MATERIALS - pencil and a sketchbook or drawing pad and/or your choice of colour medium (pastels, water colour gouache etc.) and pastel or water colour paper.

This Life drawing group will run throughout 2023. We will draw the life model. Starting with short poses, and working up to a longer pose. Materials -charcoal and A2 paper - will be provided, but if you want to work in a sketchbook or use different materials, please feel free to bring them. The session starts at 6.30 pm and ends at 8.30pm. We will take a 10 minute break after and hour, and have a longer pose after the break. Newington Green Meeting House is a historic Unitarian Chapel situated on the North side of Newington Green. Access to the class will be by the side door. Please ring the bell when you arrive. Usually **the same pose is repeated the following week so that you can give six hours to your work,** remember to book the same position for both weeks. Our studio is purpose built and well equipped with easels, drawing boards, clips and so on. We sell materials at reasonable prices so if you forget anything we should be able to help you out. We have professional lighting for the models and and full spectrum lights for the studio to give you a good experience. We break for 5 minutes for the model every 25 minutes and then for twenty minutes at 11.30am to have a cup of coffee and a biscuit (small charge). Our studio has a light and friendly atmosphere. Alice has regularly modelled for us for over ten years. She is currently pregnant with her second child.
