Join us for a photo/video shoot around the iconic Estació de Sagrada Família with an international model. **What is our goal?** To study and practice the art and technology of producing short film videos with the use of lighting, composition, camera angles, recording settings, lens selection, and subject movement. Cinematography is the visual storytelling in film conveying emotions, setting the mood, and shaping the narrative through the lens. Our tasks will be to shoot scenes using several techniques: \- subject in motion\, camera in position \- subject and camera in motion \- subject stationary\, camera pans around No experience is necessary, just bring your own cameras and enjoy!

We organise a watercolour workshop for beginners; The teacher is an advanced graphic designer and painter Tiana Diakova, whose works you can check on Instagram: @diakova_art. The maximum amount of people is 10 so the teacher will be able to guide every person. La propuesta de esta actividad es hacer una caminata dominical, recorriendo el espléndido parque que sigue el curso del Torrente de Vallparadís de Terrassa, hasta llegar al Castillo de los Recuerdos: construcción singular donde las haya, comenzada desde cero en la década de 1960 por el albañil y anticuario terrassenc Jacinto García Mas, *Cinto (1929- 2024).* El castillo de *Cinto* se sitúa por derecho propio en la misma órbita que arquitecturas como la Catedral de Justo, en Mejorada del Campo (Madrid), o el histórico palacio del cartero Cheval en Francia: palacio que fue celebrado por los artistas de su época - especialmente por los surrealistas- y que finalmente se popularizó a través de la película *"El Palacio ideal" (2018).* El recorrido es de unos 7 kilómetros, y transcurre por la zona natural del parque y por zonas urbanizadas. Iremos desde Barcelona a Terrassa en el tren de Renfe, y volveremos desde Les Fonts en los Ferrocarrils Catalans. La entrada a la zona accesible del castillo es gratuita.

But does AI actually “see” the world the way that people do? Or does it arrive at correct answers using representations that differ markedly from human perception? Join Arryn Robbins of the University of Richmond for a fascinating exploration of how humans and AI construct meaning from visual information and a look at comparisons between human perception and AI that reveal just how dynamic and context-dependent our own visual systems really are. Dr. Robbins, who previously has given excellent Profs and Pints talks on flaws and biases in human visual perception, will draw from research in cognitive science, visual perception, and AI vision systems. She’ll explain how human perception is not merely a simple recording of the world, but an active process shaped by expectations, context, goals, and recent experience. You’ll learn how humans form flexible mental representations that allow us to recognize objects across changing environments and conditions, and why those representations continuously adapt as we interact with the world. Many AI systems, by contrast, learn visual categories through statistical patterns in data. They can produce impressive results, but sometimes they also produce strange and unexpected failures, and sometimes they classify images in ways that seem strange to us. Dr. Robbins will discuss what these differences reveal about the nature of perception itself, and why the mismatch between human and AI representations matters for technologies like self-driving cars, medical imaging, facial recognition, and automated surveillance. Important for anyone trying to understand the rapidly growing role of AI in daily life, this talk will explore one of the biggest questions in cognitive science and artificial intelligence: What does it actually mean to “see” and understand the world? This class will provide instruction into various concepts of **Jiu-Jitsu** as a form of **martial art**. Participants will have the opportunity to **study**, **practice**, and **experiment** with **submission holds** and **strategic fighting controls** that are the hallmark of the now famous methodology of Professional MMA athletes and professional combatives users. This **gi class** is held every **Tuesday** and **Thursday** and includes **one hour of instruction** and **30 minutes** (sometimes longer, TBD) of **open training**.
