**Location**: Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library (Virginia) Conference Room A game development **Working Session** involves 3 key parts: 1. Tell people what you're going to do 2. Actually do stuff 3. Show people what you did That's what we'll be doing for this meeting. We'll briefly tell each other what we're going to do, then work on our projects, then at around 5:30 wrap up to show each other what we did and chat for a bit. You don't have to stay the whole time, so feel free to drop in and out as you have time. All game development skill levels welcome. Whether you're bringing a game you're trying to ship in a month, or you're just planning on following some tutorials or trying out a new tool to improve your skills, use this time to make progress. Working sessions also train you to think about the scope of your work: pick a chunk of work that you can complete in the time that we have. That way you can end the working session with a feeling of accomplishment! **What to bring**: Laptop, Charger, maybe a power strip if you have one handy, any other game development tools you need. Try to download any software you need before the working session. There is Wifi at this location, but it may be slow if you have to download any large files.

Welcome! We're a group of gamers that play board games of varying levels of intensity and difficulty. Take a look below to see a sample of the board games we play, and you may also feel free to bring your own. If you don't know how to play, don't worry, we'll teach you! Melissa always has paper plates, napkins, cups, etc. on hand, as well as water and soda, and everyone usually brings some kind of snack. You're not expected to, but it is always welcome. Please note there will be a small and very friendly Shetland Sheepdog present. We will be playing Anachrony with up to 6 players. All experience levels welcome. Expect the game teach to start promptly within the first 10 minutes. Anachrony is set after a catastrophic explosion has nearly wiped out the human race and made the planet mostly uninhabitable. The game is played over a dynamic timeline as an even more terrible cataclysm is looming on the horizon: an asteroid bearing the mysterious substance called Neutronium is heading towards Earth. Players may power up Time Rifts to reach back to earlier turns to supply their past "self" with resources. At its core Anachrony is a worker placement game requiring the use of your various specialists and sometimes even Exosuits to protect your specialists. *Betrayal at House on the Hill* is a popular horror-themed board game where 3-6 players explore a haunted mansion, building the map as they go, until a "Haunt" event turns one player into a traitor, flipping the game from cooperative to asymmetric, one-vs-many gameplay with different win conditions for the traitor and heroes.
